Live Results

Live results will be provided via WCA Live. It may take up to an hour between times being set and them appearing online.

The first rounds of all events will be run in groups. These groups are pre-determined. It is important that you know which groups of each event you are in.

A summary of groups can be found here while you can find an individual card with your groups here. Each competitor will be provided with a printed copy of their invididual group numbers at registration.

Throughout the competition we will also need judges, runners and scramblers. Do not hesitate to ask if you can be helpful in some way!

If you have any questions about the groups please email us at support@speedcubing.org.au

Event Groups

  • We are using pre-allocated groups. Within a round of an event there may be multiple groups of competitors.
  • You can find your personal schedule and a list of all groups here.
  • Each competitor will also receive a print out of this schedule at registration.
  • While we will endeavour to run to schedule for all groups, you must be ready to compete 20 minutes before the scheduled time for your group. Please also be aware that delays may occur throughout the weekend.

First time competitors

  • Bring some form of ID for registration.
  • If you are NOT competing under Australia, please also bring your passport or proof of citizenship.
  • Ensure you are familiar with the WCA Regulations. You can also watch this guide for first time competitors.
  • All competitors are required to bring their own puzzles for all events they are competiting in.
  • The new competitor tutorial is at 9:00am on Sunday 26th.

Judging

  • This is a very large competition, we will need a lot of support from judges over the weekend.
  • We will be running two dedicated judging tutorial sessions for anyone who would like to be involved in the competition but has no cubing experience. The tutorial has been designed specifically for non-cubers and will answer any questions you have and to show you how easy it is to get involved. We will have one session on Saturday straight after lunch at 1.30pm and again at 9am Sunday morning - the same time as the new competitor tutorial.
  • It is expected that ALL competitors will make themselves available to assist in judging the competition (as per Regulation 1e2) . Please make sure you are familiar with the process of solving and judging. If you need a refresher, please come to the judging tutorial or speak to your delegates - Ethan, Kerrie, Seb or Edward.

Mystery Event

On Sunday afternoon we will be holding a Mystery Event. This promises to be very entertaining for spectators and the 32 competitors that have signed up. Come along and join in the fun!

Information for all Competitors

  • This is a 3 day competition, with less popular events scheduled on Saturday 25th (Day 1). You are not required to attend unless you have events scheduled on Saturday (although you are more than welcome to come along and spectate and/or judge). Registration for all other competitors will begin at 8:30am Sunday 26th.
  • There will be very limited seating for spectators on Saturday 25th (Day 1). We ask that spectators bring a camp chair or similar.
  • No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.
  • ALL competitors will receive a new special edition lanyard at this competition, you do not need to bring your regular lanyard.
  • We will be recycling the nametag plastic sleeves, please leave unwanted plastic sleeves at the collection box at the registration desk.
  • We will be sharing the venue with basketballers over the weekend, it is expected that the car park will get congested.  The venue has advised there is plenty of untimed parking in the surrounding streets, and ask that you please be mindful of the local residents.
  • There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them! Keeping them in a bag and looking after it at all times is recommended. If you do lose a puzzle, please speak to us at the event or email us, it is possible someone has handed it in to us.
  • For your reference, the full competition schedule can be found here.
  • Results on the day will be uploaded to WCA Live.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@speedcubing.org.au. We look forward to seeing you at the competition!
