- Possible Mask Requirement: We reserve the right to require medical masks/FFP2 masks to be worn during the competition or to have further safety meausures at the competition if the pandemic situation demands this. In case wearing a mask has to be enforced, all competitors will be informed via e-mail prior to the competition.
- Symptoms: Persons that show Covid symptoms such as fever, coughing or fatigue on the day of the competition and were in contact with a Covid-19 patient in the week prior to the competition are not allowed to enter the venue and/or compete. Persons that show weak Covid symptoms such as coughing or fatigue on the day of the competition OR persons that were in contact with a Covid-19 patient in the week prior to the competition have to do a rapid self-test or certified antigen test (with a negative result) prior to attending the competition.
The rules above are in compliance with the laws in force. Please note that we do not have any influence on the regulations set by the laws. In case these laws change and we have to alter our COVID Safety Rules or even cancel the competition entirely, all competitors will be notified via email and the registration fee will be paid back if possible.

- Symptome: Personen, die am Tag des Wettbewerbs Covid-Symptome wie Fieber, Husten oder Abgeschlagenheit zeigen und in der Woche vor dem Wettbewerb mit einem Covid-19-Erkrankten Kontakt hatten, dürfen die Venue nicht betreten und nicht am Wettbewerb teilnehmen. Die obigen Regeln erfüllen die aktuell gültige Corona-Schutzverordnung in Hessen in vollem Umfang. Bitte beachte, dass wir keinen Einfluss auf gesetzliche Regelungen haben. Sollte es kurzfristig zu Änderungen kommen wegen denen wir unsere COVID-Sicherheits-Richtlinien verschärfen, oder den Wettbewerb sogar komplett absagen müssen, werden alle Teilnehmer per E-Mail benachrichtigt und die Teilnahmegebühr wenn nötig zurückgezahlt.

For each round before a final round, "Top X advance to next round" in the schedule means "Top X Germans proceed". Following the WCA Regulations, this means that all competitors with a different nationality who are ranked better than the X-th best German proceed as well.

Newcomer information
If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:
- According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.
- All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Competitors & Judging Tutorial on Saturday (see time schedule).
- Every competitor should have read the official WCA Regulations at least once before attending the competition! In addition, a more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial.
- Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.
- If you have urgent questions before the competition, please feel free to contact the competition organizers.

Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:

- Keine Angst: Während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen aller Art zu stellen.

By Train
1. To Kassel
Attention
Kassel Hauptbahnhof does not serve long distance trains.
You should use "Kassel Wilhelmshöhe" to travel to Kassel.
2. To the Competition
From both Kassel Wilhelmshöhe and Kassel Hauptbahnhof trains to "Bahnhof Körle" leave every 30 minutes. You can take RE5, RB5 and RT5. The journey takes about 20 minutes.
For tickets to Körle you need a "Preisstufe 4" ticket. Your best options are:
MultiTicketSingle: For one person - 11.90€
MultiTicket: For up to five people, only two can be 18 years or older. - 15.70€
Both are valid from friday 2 p.m. for the whole weekend.
Easiest way to purchase them is through the DB Navigator App.
By car
There are about 20 free parking lots in front of the venue, others can be found close by here.

Zur Anreise per Zug muss der Bahnhof Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe gewählt werden.
2. Nach Körle, Tickets:
Ab den Bahnhöfen Kassel Wilhelmshöhe und Kassel Hauptbahnhof verkehren im 30 min. Takt die Züge RE5, RB5 und RT5 Richtung Fulda/ Bad Hersfeld/ Melsungen, die Fahrt bis Bahnhof Körle dauert ca. 20 Minuten.
Kinder bis einschließlich 6 Jahre fahren kostenlos in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen mit gültigem Ticket.
Körle liegt in der Tarifzone 4. Die besten Optionen um von Kassel aus zu Pendeln sind das MultiTicket bzw. das MultiTicket Single.
Beide Tickets gelten ab Freitag 14 Uhr für beliebig viele Fahrten das ganze Wochenende (zu allen anderen Zeiten gilt es 24 Stunden).
MultiTicket Single (für eine Person): 11,90€
MultiTicket (für bis zu fünf Personen, von denen nur zwei älter als 18 Jahre alt sein dürfen): 15,70€
Die Tickets lassen sich am einfachsten über die App der Deutschen Bahn kaufen, oder auch am Automaten in den genannten Zügen, allerdings fallen diese häufig aus.
Fußweg zur Halle ab Bahnhof Körle: ca. 20 Minuten bergauf.
Mit dem Auto:
Vor der Venue stehen ca. 20 Parkplätze zur Verfügung, weiterhin kann hier geparkt werden (direkt nebenan).

- In the venue there will be snacks and drinks available to buy. In Kassel you can find gluten- free, halal, vegetarian, vegan food and restaurants. Körle is tiny and the variety is limited. Some more options you might find in Melsungen which is about 10 Minutes by car.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
Qualification
Qualification times must be set in other WCA competitions in order to compete. Qualification times must be set before Jul 28, 2023.
