Nuevos competidores

Si es la primera vez que compites, es importante que te vayas familiarizando con el Reglamento. El Reglamento es algo extenso y contiene mucha información dentro, así que no te preocupes si no te acuerdas de todo. Por este motivo, aconsejamos que veas esta pestaña Faq Pmf a cerca de las normas y procedimientos básicos que hay que saber para poder asistir como competidor: También haremos un pequeño tutorial tal antes de comenzar la competicion asi que te recomendamos que asistas.

Los nuevos competidores tendrán que llevar un documento de identidad que verifique el país de procedencia y fecha de nacimiento. Puede ser tanto el C.I., como el certificado de nacimiento, licencia de conducir, etc. Sólo es necesario que aparezca tu nombre completo, fecha de nacimiento y nacionalidad.

Si tienes alguna pregunta, puedes consultar a cualquier organizador y/o delegado, puedes encontrar nuestros números de contacto en la pestaña de información general.

Información para todos los competidores

Por favor, ayuda como juez/runner/scrambler, no es nada difícil hacerlo y ayudas a que la competencia se agilice. Todos los competidores deben colaborar cuando se les pida, pero también puedes hacer de juez/runner/scrambler aunque no te toque. Si estás interesado en aprender a hacer de juez se hará un pequeño tutorial o antes de empezar.
Puedes tomar fotos y videos, sin embargo por favor asegurate de no usar flash, ya que distrae mucho a los competidores. Si eres un espectador, por favor no entres en la zona de competición y tampoco estés a menos de metro y medio de una de las mesas de competición (Regulation 7b). Por favor, cuida el lugar, mantén la zona limpia y lo más ordenada posible.
Hay cientos de cubos y puzzles en las competencias, no dejes cubos en las mesas de mezclas o de competición, se pueden perder, la organización no se hace responsable de perdidas de objetos personales. Y por favor, si encuentras algún cubo/puzzle/objeto que no es tuyo, entregaselo a la organización para que podamos devolverlo a su dueño.
Durante las pruebas a ciegas, hay que estar en completo silencio. Estas pruebas requieren mucha concentración y cualquier pequeño ruido podría desconcentrar. Anunciaremos cuando empiece el evento y cuando se podrá volver a hablar.
Como último y más importante, no olvides divertirte y hacer amigos.

Welcome to USFA Challenge

New competitors

If this is the first time you compete, it is important that you become familiar with the Regulation. The Regulation is somewhat extensive and contains a lot of information inside, so do not worry if you do not remember everything. For this reason, we recommend that you see this tab Faq Pmf about the basic rules and procedures that you need to know in order to attend as competitor: We will also do a small tutorial before starting the competition so we recommend you attend.

The new competitors will have to carry an identity document that verifies the country of origin and date of birth. It can be both the DNI, as the family book, driving license, etc. It is only necessary to show your full name, date of birth and nationality.

Information for all competitors

Please help as a judge/runner/scrambler. It's not difficult at all, and it helps speed up the competition. All competitors must help when asked, but you can also serve as a judge/runner/scrambler even if it's not your turn. If you're interested in learning how to judge, a short tutorial will be provided before you begin.
You may take photos and videos, but please be sure not to use a flash, as it is very distracting to competitors. If you are a spectator, please do not enter the competition area or stand within a meter and a half of any of the competition tables (Regulation 7b). Please take care of the venue and keep it as clean and tidy as possible.
There are hundreds of cubes and puzzles in the competitions. Don't leave cubes on the mixing or competition tables; they can get lost. The organizers are not responsible for lost personal belongings. And please, if you find a cube/puzzle/object that isn't yours, give it to the organizers so we can return it to its rightful owner.
During blind tests, you must remain completely silent. These tests require a lot of concentration, and any small noise could distract you. We will announce when the event starts and when you can resume speaking.
Last but not least, don't forget to have fun and make friends.

El costo de inscripcion para esta competencia es un monto fijo y único, con este puede participar en una o todas las categorias que desee.
El costo de inscripcion sera diferente segun la fecha de pago y se distribuira de la siguiente manera:

The registration cost for this competition is a fixed and unique amount, with which you can participate in one or all the categories you want.
The registration cost will be different depending on the payment date and will be distributed as follows:

P: ¿Cómo me registro?
R: En primer lugar tienes que asegurarte de que tengas creada una cuenta de la WCA. Si no es así, se puede hacer de manera muy sencilla haciendo click en Registrarse y creándote una. Una vez hecho esto, vete a la pestaña Registro y sigue los pasos correspondientes.

P: ¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de competidores?
R: Primero, asegúrate de haber seguido todas las instruciones de registro, una vez registrado pasaras a lista de espera. Segundo, debes cancelar el costo de inscripción, para mas detalle ve a la pestaña de pagos. Finalmente, seras aprobado y apareceras en la lista de competidores, en caso tengas algún inconveniente comunicate con los organizadores.

P: ¿Puedo cambiar los eventos a los que me presento?
R: Sí, mientras el plazo de inscripción siga abierto. Contácta por WhatsApp a cualquiera de los organizadores e indica que categorías quieres cambiar. Si el registro ya se ha cerrado, puedes hacerlo el dia de la competencia, ve a la mesa de mezclas cuando te toque competir y dile a uno de los Delegados que no te vas a presentar.

P: Ya no puedo asistir, ¿qué debo hacer?
R: Lo primero que tienes que hacer es informarnos por WhatsApp a cualquiera de los organizadores tan pronto como lo sepas para que otro competidor pueda ocupar tu lugar. No podemos ofrecer reembolsos ya que pagar la tarifa de registro es un contrato de compromiso.

P: ¿Qué tan rápido tengo que ser para poder competir?
R: Te recomendamos que mires la pestaña de categorias para informarte de los tiempos límite y cortes de cada prueba. Sin embargo, la mayoría de competidores va a las competiciones para conocer otras personas con la que comparten este hobby sin importar los tiempos o sencillamente a tratar de mejorar sus propios tiempos personales, ¡todo el mundo es apto para competir y pasarlo bien!.

P: ¿Hay categorías para diferentes edades?
R: Todos los competidores participan en las mismas condiciones y participantes de todas las edades son bienvenidos. La mayoría de gente suele tener unos 12-20 años, pero también hay gente más joven y más mayor.

P: ¿Tengo que usar mis propios cubos para competir?
R: ¡Sí! Asegúrate de traer puzzles para todos los eventos en los que compitas y no los pierdas de vista.

P: ¿Puedo ir simplemente como espectador?
R: Sí, además la entrada es completamente gratuita para los espectadores. Echa un vistazo al horario de la competencia para que puedas venir a ver los eventos que más te interesen o enterarte de cuando son las finales.

P: ¿Cúando debo estar en la competencia?
R: Recomendamos que llegues al inicio de la competencia, puedes ver el horario de inicio en el horario. Si eres un nuevo competidor, te recomendamos encarecidamente que asistas al tutorial de competición que haremos antes de comenzar 3x3. Si no, asiste siempre al menos 15 minutos antes de que empiece la primera ronda en la que compitas.

P: ¿Qué debo hacer cuando llegue?
R: Lo primero que hay que hacer es ir a la mesa de registro. Si no hay nadie en la mesa, busca a algun organizador o delegado para que te oriente.

P: ¿Debo estar durante todo el campeonato?
R: Sólo es necesario que estés cuando tengas que competir o hacer de juez/runner/mezclador. Se te dará un papel en el registro con todos tus horarios, fuera de ese horario eres libre de disponer de tu tiempo para lo que desees. Los grupos y tareas asignadas también es publicado en el grupo de WhatsApp del evento al que se te agrega cuando completas tu inscripción.

P: ¿Donde miro los resultados y si paso a la siguiente ronda?
R: Los tiempos y clasificaciones de la competición se subirán a esta página unos días después de la competición y en directo en la página WCA Live

Q: How do I register?
A: First you need to make sure you have created a WCA account. You can do this by going to the sign-up page and creating an account. Once you have created the account and confirmed your email address, go to the Register section and follow the instructions carefully.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?
A: First, make sure you've followed all the registration instructions. Once registered, you'll be added to the waiting list. Second, you must pay the registration fee; for more details, see the payment tab. Finally, you'll be approved and appear on the list of competitors. If you have any issues, please contact the organizers.

Q: Can I change the events I am registered for?
A: Yes, as long as the registration period is still open. Contact any of the organizers via WhatsApp and indicate which categories you want to change. If registration has already closed, you can do so on the day of the competition. Go to the scramble zone when it's your turn to compete and tell one of the delegates that you won't be participating.

Q: I am no longer able to attend, what do I do?
A: The first thing you need to do is inform any of the organizers via WhatsApp as soon as you know so another competitor can take your place. We cannot offer refunds, as paying the registration fee is a contractual obligation.

Q: How fast do I have to be to compete?
A: We recommend checking the categories tab for time limits and cutoff times for each event. However, most competitors attend competitions to meet other people who share their passion, regardless of their time, or simply to try to improve their own personal times—everyone is eligible to compete and have fun!

Q: Are there different age categories?
A: All competitors compete on the same level and all ages are welcome. In general most are aged 12-20 but we have plenty of regulars who are older or younger than this!

Q: Do I use my own cubes to compete?
A: Yes! Make sure to bring cubes for all events you are competing in and look after them, you don't want them to go missing.

Q: Can I come only to spectate?
A: Yes! Spectating this competition will be free for everyone. Take a look at the schedule to come to see the events you are more interested in or to know when the finals are happening.

Q: When do I arrive at the competition?
A: We recommend arriving at the start of the competition; you can see the start time on the schedule. If you're a new competitor, we strongly recommend attending the competition tutorial before the 3x3 begins. If not, always arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the first round you compete in.

Q: What do I do when I arrive?
A: The first thing you need to do is go to the registration table. If there's no one at the table, find an organizer or delegate for guidance.

Q: When can I leave the competition?
A: You only need to be present when you have to compete or act as a judge/runner/scrambler. You'll be given a slip of paper in the registration form with all your schedules; outside of these hours, you're free to use your time as you wish. The groups and assigned tasks are also posted in the event's WhatsApp group, to which you'll be added when you complete your registration.

Q: How do I find results?
A: All the results will be found on this page a couple of days after the competition, once they have all been checked and uploaded. Also on the website  WCA Live
