The Negros Speedcubers Organizing Committee (NSOC) presents MassKara Cubing Festival.

* Please take note that the schedule given is not fixed and may run ahead or behind depending on the competition flow that day. Please stay updated and be ready for any adjustments. We also recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your event to avoid missing it.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₱250 (Philippine Peso).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.

We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of ₱500 (Philippine Peso).

We’re thrilled to have you join us for your first WCA-sanctioned competition. Whether you’re here for fun or looking to set your personal best, this guide will help you navigate the day with ease. Let’s make sure you're ready to have a great time!
What to Expect on Competition Day
- Arrival: Register on the onsite registration desk if you haven't already. Make sure to bring your puzzles, and any form of ID.
- Registration: Confirm your registration and ask organizers any last-minute questions you may have.
- Competition Flow: The day will include multiple rounds of solving, a scheduled lunch break, and awards at the end of the event.
Familiarize Yourself with WCA Regulations
It’s highly encouraged that first-time competitors read through the WCA Regulations to better understand the rules of the competition. Additionally:

If you're still unsure about the procedures, don't worry! There will be a live demonstration and tutorial on compeition day to ensure you’re comfortable.
Key Rules & Regulations for Newcomers
- Inspection Time: You’ll have up to 15 seconds to inspect your puzzle before starting your solve.
- Using the Timer: You’ll be using a stackmat timer. Familiarize yourself with how to properly start and stop the timer for official solves.
- Scrambles: Only official scrambles will be used, and your cube must remain covered until you are ready to solve.
- WCA Delegates: If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to approach the WCA Delegates. They’re here to help!
Tips for First-Timers
- Stay Calm: Everyone starts somewhere, and it’s normal to feel a little nervous. We at Negros Speedcubers and Mira Labs will strive for a welcoming and supportive time, so focus on enjoying your experience.
- Practice with the Timer: Get comfortable using the stackmat timer, as it’s an essential part of official solves.
- Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask the Delegate, Event Organizers, or fellow competitors if you’re unsure about anything. We’re all here to help!
- Have Fun: Competitions are a fantastic way to meet other cubers, learn new techniques, and challenge yourself. Enjoy the moment!

Volunteering

What happens if I mess up a solve?
It’s totally normal! Just focus on the next solve and remember, everyone has those moments.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
