WCA African Championship 2026
Registration requirements for the competition:

There is a competitor limit of 250 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is R450 (South African Rand).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators can attend paying an entry fee of R100 (South African Rand).
Registration information
The registration fee has to be paid through the CubingZA registration portal here once registered.
Each competitor can bring 2 spectators as part of their entrance fee, additional spectators can be admitted for R100 (South African Rand) each, paid on the day.

- Access to the venue for you and up to 2 spectators for all four days so you can fully enjoy the experience of watching some of the best cubers solving in record times.
- Access to the Meet and Greet sessions with some of the top cubers.
- A goodie bag with stickers, brochures, pins and a collection of items from CubingZA and WCA.
- Attendance for the Opening Ceremony with some local flavour.
- Access to the Relay - format and entries to be announced soon.
Payment:
Upon registering you will receive an email stating “Your registration for WCA African Championship 2026 is submitted and pending approval”. This does NOT mean that you are on the registration list. Competitors will not be approved until payment has been made.

Please ensure you have paid the registration fees. Your registration is not complete and will not be processed until you have paid the R500 (South African Rand) registration fee. Contact the organisational team if you encounter an issue.
Early Bird Pricing:
Until the end of the 31st of March there will be a 10% discount on your entry that will automatically be applied when you checkout at the payment gateway.
Waiting List:
Once the competitor limit of 250 has filled, the waiting list will be opened.
You must pay the R500 (South African Rand) registration fee to be added to the waiting list.
New registrations will be added to a waitlist and sorted in the order of payment.
Waitlisted competitors will only be added to the competition if an existing competitor withdraws.
All competitors still on the waiting list after Monday September 21 at 14:00pm GMT+2 will be removed and provided with a full refund.
You may enquire about your position on the waiting list by contacting the organisational team.
Changing Events:
You may change the events you are registered for until your entry is accepted. Change your events on the Register page. If your entry is already accepted, you must contact the organisational team to request your event changes. The cutoff for adding new events to your entry is Monday September 21 at 14:00pm GMT+2. After this date it is not possible to add further events. Please let us know if you wish to drop out of any event(s), even after this deadline!
Deleting Registration/Refunds:
If you can no longer make it to the competition you may request a refund.
To receive a full refund you must contact the organisational team by the Friday, September 18 at 11:59pm GMT+2.
Withdrawing enables us to maximise attendance and for competitors on the waiting list to attend.
Spectator Tickets:
Competitors may have up to 2 spectators accompany them for free. Additional spectator tickets will be available to purchase for R100 per person at the event.
Notice of filming:
Be aware that filming and photography at the WCA African Championship 2026 will be prevelant, you therefore consent to your image being used by the World Cube Association and its partners in their marketing and social media platforms by attending.
