Nuevos competidores

Si es la primera vez que compites, es importante que te vayas familiarizando con el Reglamento. El Reglamento es algo extenso y contiene mucha información dentro, así que no te preocupes si no te acuerdas de todo. Por este motivo, aconsejamos que veas esta pestaña Faq Pmf a cerca de las normas y procedimientos básicos que hay que saber para poder asistir como competidor: También haremos un pequeño tutorial tal antes de comenzar la competicion asi que te recomendamos que asistas.

Los nuevos competidores tendrán que llevar un documento de identidad que verifique el país de procedencia y fecha de nacimiento. Puede ser tanto el DNI, como el libro de familia, el carnet de conducir, etc. Sólo es necesario que aparezca tu nombre completo, fecha de nacimiento y nacionalidad.

Si tienes alguna pregunta, puedes consultarnos a nosotros, aunque estás más que bienvenido a escribirnos al correo que aparece en la página de Información General.
Información para todos los competidores

Por favor, ¡ayuda a hacer de juez! Siempre terminan siendo los mismos los que hacen de juez. ¡No es nada difícil hacerlo y ayudas a que el campeonato se agilice! Todos los competidores deben colaborar cuando se les pida , pero también puedes hacer de jueces aunque no te toque. Si estás interesado en aprender a hacer de juez se hará un pequeño tutorial o antes de empezar. Las fotos sin flash. Esta regla mas se aplica a todo el recinto, ya que distrae mucho a los competidores. Si eres un espectador, por favor no entres en la zona de competición y bajo ningún concepto estés a menos de metro y medio de una de las mesas de competición (Regulation 7b). Por favor, cuida el lugar, mantén la zona limpia y lo más ordenada posible. Hay miles de puzzles en estos campeonatos, no dejes cubos en las mesas de mezclas o de competición. ¡Mantén tus puzzles juntos para que no los pierdas! Durante las pruebas a ciegas, hay que estar en completo silencio. Estas pruebas requieren mucha concentración y cualquier pequeño ruido podría desconcentrar. Anunciaremos cuando empiece el evento y cuando se podrá volver a hablar.

New competitors

If this is the first time you compete, it is important that you become familiar with the Regulation. Information for all competitors

Please help judge! The same people always end up being judges. It's not hard to do it and you help the championship get faster! All competitors must collaborate when asked, but you can also act as a judge even if it's not your turn. P: ¿Cómo me registro?
R: En primer lugar tienes que asegurarte de que tengas creada una cuenta de la WCA. Si no es así, se puede hacer de manera muy sencilla haciendo click en Registrarse y creándote una. Una vez hecho esto, vete a la pestaña Registro y sigue los pasos correspondientes.

P: ¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de competidores?
R: Por favor, asegúrate de haber seguido todas las instruciones de la pestaña Registro. Una vez registrado pasaras a lista de espera uma vez cancelado la imscripcion de tu registro seras aprobado y apareceras en la lista de competidores hasta antes de eso no politica interna de la organizacion

P: ¿Puedo cambiar los eventos a los que me presento?
R: Sí, mientras el plazo de inscripción siga abierto. Contáctanos a través del correo de la organización y dinos qué categorías quieres cambiar. Si el registro ya se ha cerrado, por favor, no mandes ninguna petición de cambio de eventos. Si el dia de la competición decides no participar en alguna categoría simplemente ve a la mesa de mezclas cuando te toque competir y dile a uno de los Delegados que no te vas a presentar.

P: ¿Ya no puedo asistir, ¿qué debo hacer?
R: Lo primero que tienes que hacer es informarnos vía email tan pronto como lo sepas para que otro competidor pueda ocupar tu lugar. No podemos ofrecer reembolsos ya que pagar la tarifa de registro es un contrato de compromiso.

P: ¿Cómo de rápido tengo que ser para poder competir?
R: Te recomendamos que mires la tabla del Horario para informarte de los tiempos límite de cada prueba. La mayoría de gente va a las competiciones para conocer a gente con la que comparten esta afición sin importar los tiempos o sencillamente a tratar de mejorar sus propios tiempos personales, ¡todo el mundo es apto para competir y pasarlo bien!

P: ¿Hay categorías para diferentes edades?
R: Todos los competidores participan en las mismas condiciones y participantes de todas las edades son bienvenidos. La mayoría de gente suele tener unos 15-20 años, pero también hay gente más joven y más mayor.

P: ¿Tengo que usar mis propios cubos para competir?
R: ¡Sí! Asegúrate de traer puzzles para todos los eventos en los que compitas y no los pierdas de vista.

P: ¿Puedo ir simplemente como espectador?
R: Sí, además la entrada es completamente gratuita para los espectadores. Echa un vistazo al horario del campeonato para que puedas venir a ver los eventos que más te interesen o enterarte de cuando son las finales.

P: ¿Cúando debo estar en el campeonato?
R: Recomendamos que te inscribas dentro de los plazos de inscripción que hay asignados en el horario. Si eres un nuevo competidor, te recomendamos encarecidamente que asistas al tutorial de competición que haremos el sábado a primera hora. Si no, está siempre al menos 15 minutos antes de que empiece la primera ronda en la que compitas.

P: ¿Qué debo hacer cuando llegue?
R: Lo primero que hay que hacer es ir a la mesa de registro para que te podamos dar los regalos de inscripción y la acreditación. Si no hay nadie en la mesa, busca a alguien con la camiseta de staff para que te atienda.

P: ¿Debo estar durante todo el campeonato?
R: Sólo es necesario que estés cuando tengas que competir o hacer de juez/runner/mezclador. Se te dará un papel en el registro con todos tus horarios, fuera de ese horario eres libre de irte a disfrutar de la ciudad y la gastronomía. Los grupos también serán publicados en la pestaña Grupos.

P: ¿Donde miro los resultados y si paso a la siguiente ronda?
R: Los tiempos y clasificaciones de la competición se subirán a esta página unos días después de la competición y en directo en la web WCA Live

Q: How do I register?
A: First you need to make sure you have created a WCA account. You can do this by going to the sign-up page and creating an account. Once you have created the account and confirmed your email address, go to the Register section and follow the instructions carefully.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?
A: Please make sure you have followed all the instructions on the Registration tab. Once registered you will go to the waiting list, soon you will be approved and you will appear in the list of competitors.

Q: Can I change the events I am registered for?
A: As long as registration is still open, yes you are allowed to change events. Email us with the events you would like to change. If registration is closed then please do not email us with event changes. If at the competition you decide that you do not want to compete in an event, come up to the scramble table when your group is called and simply tell one of the Delegates that you are not going to compete.

Q: I am no longer able to attend, what do I do?
A: The first thing you need to do is tell us as soon as you know via the contact link on the General Info page. Competitions generally fill up quite quickly and letting us know that you can't attend means we can add someone from the waiting list. We cannot offer refunds if you can no longer attend as paying the registration fee is a commitment contract.

Q: How fast do I have to be to compete?
A: We recommend that you check out the Schedule tab - if you can make the time limit for the events you want to compete in, then you're fast enough! Loads of people come to competitions just to beat their own personal bests, and meet likeminded people, with no intention of winning or even making it past the first round.

Q: Are there different age categories?
A: All competitors compete on the same level and all ages are welcome. In general most are aged 10-20 but we have plenty of regulars who are older or younger than this!

Q: Do I use my own cubes to compete?
A: Yes! Make sure to bring cubes for all events you are competing in and look after them, you don't want them to go missing.

Q: Can I come only to spectate?
A: Yes! Spectating this competition will be free for everyone. Take a look at the schedule to come to see the events you are more interested in or to know when the finals are happening.

Q: When do I arrive at the competition?
A: We recommend you to register on the time frames dedicated to that regard, which you can find on the Schedule tab. If you are a new competitor, we highly recommend that you show up for the introduction to competing which is held as the first thing on Saturday. Otherwise, we recommend you turn up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Q: What do I do when I arrive?
A: The first thing you do when you arrive is find the registration desk if registration is open. If there is nobody present at the registration desk then find a staff member and we will make sure to register you.

Q: When can I leave the competition?
A: It's only necessary to stay when you have to compete or be a judge/runner/scrambler. You will be given a paper with all your schedules, outside of which you are free to go enjoy the city and the gastronomy. The groups will be published on the Groups tab too.

Q: How do I find results?
A: All the results will be found on this page a couple of days after the competition, once they have all been checked and uploaded. Also on the website  WCA Live

El "Team Versus" es un evento no oficial, donde podran participar equipos de 3 personas las cuales deben de conformarse de la siguiente manera:

• Un integrante debe tener un promedio oficial en la WCA de Sub 1min hasta minimo 30seg.
• Un integrante debe tener un promedio oficial en la WCA de Sub 30seg. hasta 15seg.
• Un integrante debe tener un promedio oficial en la WCA de Sub 15seg.

Los participantes deben de contar con un nombre e inscribirse antes o durantes del torneo hasta media hora antes de comenzar.
El costo de la inscripcion por equipos será de Bs. 5.

Antes de comenzar se realizara el sorteo del cuadro principal y se repasaran las normas correspondientes:

Reglamento para el versus por equipos
El formato de la competición es el de un torneo por eliminatorias con equipos de tres personas.

A pesar de tener un carácter no oficial, se seguirá el reglamento oficial de la WCA, así como sus penalizaciones estándares que incluyen desalineación, paradas/arranques del cronómetro, tiempo de inspección, entre otros.
Durante la competencia, los integrantes resolverán un cubo de 3x3x3 de forma sucesiva. Por consiguiente, en la mesa habrá tres temporizadores, tres cubos y tres competidores. El inicio de los cronómetros segundo y tercero será únicamente cuando el participante anterior haya concluido su resolución y retorne ambas manos al cronómetro, deteniéndolo.

El período de inspección será simultáneo para los tres miembros del equipo. Después de 12 segundos, deberán apoyar su cubo en el tapete y mantener ambas manos sobre los cronómetros. La salida efectiva de los dos equipos contendientes será indicada por el juez o el orador oficial.
Durante la ejecución de la resolución por parte del primer integrante del equipo, los segundos y terceros miembros deberán mantener sus manos en los cronómetros. Esta misma normativa se aplica al tercer participante mientras el segundo resuelve su cubo, de lo contrario, se aplicará la penalización DNF.
Los miembros restantes del equipo podrán continuar inspeccionando mientras sus compañeros están resolviendo, siempre y cuando mantengan sus manos sobre los cronómetros.

El equipo triunfador será aquel con el tiempo total más bajo, que corresponderá a la suma de los tres tiempos individuales. En caso de empate en los tiempos totales, se tomará en cuenta la mejor resolución individual para declarar al equipo ganador.

Al tratarse de un formato experimental, los jueces de este evento podrán ejercer su discreción en caso de desacuerdos e interpretación de las reglas - su decisión será inapelable.

"Team Versus" is an unofficial event open to three-person teams. Teams must be structured as follows:

• One member must have an official WCA time average of under 1 minute to a minimum of 30 seconds.
• One member must have an official WCA time average of under 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
• One member must have an official WCA time average of under 15 seconds.

Participants must have a name and register before or during the tournament up to half an hour before the start.
The registration fee per team will be Bs. 5.

Before the start, the main draw will be held, and the corresponding rules will be reviewed:

Team Versus Rules
The competition format is a knockout tournament with three-person teams.

Despite being unofficial, the official WCA rules will be followed, as well as standard penalties, including misalignment, stopwatch stops/starts, inspection time, among others.
During the competition, the team members will solve a 3x3x3 cube in succession. Therefore, there will be three timers, three cubes, and three competitors on the table. The second and third timers will only start when the previous participant has completed their solution and returns both hands to the timer, stopping it.

The inspection period will be simultaneous for all three team members. After 12 seconds, they must place their cube on the mat and keep both hands on the timers. The effective exit of the two competing teams will be signaled by the judge or official speaker.
During the execution of the solution by the first team member, the second and third team members must keep their hands on the timers. These same rules apply to the third participant while the second solves their cube; otherwise, a DNF penalty will be applied.
The remaining team members may continue inspecting while their teammates are solving, as long as they keep their hands on the timers.

The winning team will be the one with the lowest total time, which corresponds to the sum of the three individual times. In the event of a tie in the total times, the best individual solution will be considered to declare the winning team.

As this is an experimental format, the judges of this event may exercise their discretion in case of disagreements and interpretation of the rules; their decision will be final.

Registration for this competition has a one-time fee that allows you to participate in one or all of the available categories. This amount will vary depending on the payment date, and will be distributed as follows:
