Information regarding COVID-19

As you are certainly aware, the COVID-19 virus is spreading rapidly.
The Swedish government has decided to prohibit all events gathering more than 500 people, so we understand if there is worry regarding Swedish Blind Qualification 2020.
As the decisions from the government and Public Health Agency are standing at the moment, we do not see reason for any action from us, as we expect fewer than 500 attendees.
We still expect to hold the competition as planned.

With that said, we are keeping a close eye on how the situation develops, and do not rule out that the situation worsens. In that case, we will follow all official decisions and guidelines.
We ask you to keep track of your email inboxes. If we make a decision regarding the competition, we will inform you there.

Update 14th March: We are following the development closely and expect to be able to give more information on whether this competition will be held or not by the 31st of March.

Update 30th March: This competition is now cancelled. Please see your emails for an information mail about the decision and what will happen next. Thank you for your interest, and we hope to see you soon again.

Information angående COVID-19

Som ni säkert alla känner till sprids viruset COVID-19 allt mer.
Med anledning av Regeringens beslut om förbud mot arrangemang som samlar över 500 personer förstår vi att viss oro finns angående Swedish Blind Qualification 2020.
Så som besluten ser ut från Regeringen och Folkhälsomyndigheten i dagsläget, ser vi ännu inte att någon åtgärd krävs, då vi räknar med att bli färre än 500 personer.
Vi räknar alltså fortfarande med att genomföra tävlingen som planerat.

Med det sagt håller vi noga koll på hur situationen utvecklar sig, och utesluter inte att läget kan förvärras. Om så sker kommer vi följa officiella beslut och riktlinjer.
Vi ber er hålla koll på era mail-inkorgar. Om vi fattar beslut om tävlingens genomförande kommer vi informera den vägen.

Uppdatering 14:e mars: Vi följer utvecklingen noga och planerar att ge mer information om tävlingen kan hållas som planerat senast den 31:a mars.

Kvalificering

Ett av tävlingens huvudsyften är att ge deltagare som vill delta i 4x4x4 BLD, 5x5x5 BLD och 3x3x3 Multi-BLD på Svenska Mästerskapen 2020 en sista chans att kvalificera sig om man önskar försöka göra det. Därför arrangeras 4x4x4 + 5x5x5 BLD på med ytterst generösa time-limits samt två försök 3x3x3 Multi-Blind för att ge så stora chanser som möjligt att kvalificera sig i dessa grenar. Tävlingen är dock fortfarande öppen för alla som vill delta, oavsett gren.

Tips: Om du endast behöver kvalificera dig i en av grenarna 4x4x4 BLD eller 5x5x5 BLD: Använd då alla de 120 minuter du har till förfogande för båda dessa grenar till den gren du behöver kvalificera dig i, så ökar du dina chanser att lyckas!

Qualification

One of the main purposes of the competition is to give competitors who want to participate in 4x4x4 BLD, 5x5x5 BLD and 3x3x3 Multi-BLD at the Swedish Championships 2020 a last chance to qualify if you wish to try to do so. Therefore, 4x4x4 + 5x5x5 BLD is held with very generous time-limits and two attempts of 3x3x3 Multi-Blind in order to make sure that competitors have as large chances as possible to qualify in these events. However, the competition is still open to anyone who wants to participate, regardless of event.

Tip: If you only need to qualify in one of the 4x4x4 BLD or 5x5x5 BLD events: Use all the 120 minutes you have available for both these events only in the event you need to qualify in, then you will increase your chances of success!

Viktig info

Alla tävande ska ha läst WCA regulations. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCAs reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Vi kommer innan 3x3x3 ha en deltagarintroduktion för nya deltagare där vi går igenom hur det går till när man tävlar på en officiell WCA-tävling. Vill man redan nu få bättre koll på hur tävlingsproceduren går till, kolla då gärna denna video som visar detta på ett bra sätt. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Du måste vara anmäld till tävlingen online för att få tävla! Du kan anmäla dig här.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Du måste vara redo att tävla när din grupp startar Du behöver vara på plats i lokalen under de grenar där du planerar att delta. Du behöver dock vara på plats i lokalen senast 20 minuter innan din första gren ska börja, så du hinner fullfölja registreringen. Vi rekommenderar dock alltid att ni är på plats i lokalen minst 20 minuter innan er nästa gren, då schemat kan variera något jämfört med vad som först var planerat.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Important info

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial for new participants before 3x3x3, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide. is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete! You can register here.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 20 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 20 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Anmälan

Du kan anmäla dig till tävlingen här. Utifrån nuvarande planering kommer vi inte acceptera några anmälningar på plats.

Anmälan räknas inte som klar förrän du har betalat anmälningsavgiften på 125 SEK. Betalning sker på WCA-sidan, detta kommer fram automatiskt efter att du har anmält dig. Om du inte finns med på deltagarlistan 48 timmar efter du har betalat, kontakta då gärna arrangören. (Kontaktuppgifter hittar du under "General info"-fliken.)

Om du har anmält dig men sen inte längre kan komma på tävlingen, maila oss arrangörer och informera om detta. Det lämnar din plats för någon annan, och du får också tillbaka 50% av anmälningsavgiften, så länge du gör det innan 25e april 2020.

Anmälan stänger 24e april 2020, eller när deltagargränsen på 60 deltagare är nådd.

The registration is not considered complete until you have paid the registration fee of 125 SEK. Payment is done through the WCA website, this will show up automatically right after you register. If your name doesn't appear on the competitor list 48 hours after paying, feel free to contact the organisers. (Contact information under the "General info" tab.)

If you have registered but then can't go to the competition, please send an e-mail telling us this as that will leave your spot for somebody else, and you will also get a refund of 50% of the registration fee as long as it's done before the 25th of April 2020.

Registration will close on the 24th of April 2020, or when the competitor limit of 60 competitors is reached.

Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Det är viktigt att du läser igenom alla flikar här på sidan, eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.

Om du aldrig tävlat förut bör du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort, för att intyga när du är född och din nationalitet. Om den tävlande inte har ett ID kan en förälder bekräfta dessa uppgifter.

Innan 3x3x3 kommer vi demonstrera hur det går till att tävla, men vi rekommenderar starkt att du även kollar på den här videon så du bättre förstår hur det går till att lösa i tävling. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare. Det är också bra att kolla igenom WCA-reglerna så du får en bättre förståelse för vilka olika tidsstraff du kan få på lösningarna, och hur du undviker dem.

Kom ihåg att du bara behöver vara i lokalen när du har någon gren att tävla i, men eftersom schemat kan ändras något under tävlingen rekommenderar vi att du är där minst 20 minuter innan din första gren.

Under hela tävlingen kommer du kunna se live-resultat från WCA-Live, där kan du se vilka resultat du fick, och ifall du gick vidare till nästa runda.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.

If you've never competed before, you should bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's licence, to verify your birth date and nationality. If the competitor does not have an ID, a parent can confirm this information.

We will have a demonstration showing how the competing process works before 3x3x3, but we highly recommend watching this video to get a good understanding of how solving in competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

It is also good that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them.

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 20 minutes before your first event.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA-Live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Med Tåg eller Långfärdsbussar

Ta tåget / bussen till Stockholm Central / Cityterminalen. Tågbiljetter kan bokas via www.sj.se, bussbiljetter bokas exempelvis via Flixbus eller Nettbuss. Ta därifrån tunnelbanans gröna linje 17 mot Skarpnäck, kliv av i Bagarmossen. Därifrån är det endast cirka 200-300 meters gångväg till tävlingslokalen. Mer om lokaltrafiken nedan.

Lokaltrafik

Det är mycket lätt att ta sig till tävlingslokalen med kollektivtrafik. Ovan finns information om hur man tar sig från centralstationen till lokalen. För övrig information hittas reseplanerare, tidtabeller, biljettinformation och annat om lokaltrafiken på sl.se. Närmaste hållplats till tävlingslokalen: Bagarmossen T-bana.

Med Flyg

Stockholm täcks av fyra flygplatser, där Stockholm Arlanda och Stockholm Skavsta är de mest relevanta. Skavsta används av lågprisbolagen Ryanair och Wizzair, de flesta resterande flygbolag använder Arlanda. Stockholm Bromma visserligen närmast lokalen, men hanterar främst inrikes flyg. För information om de respektive flygplatserna, samt transport in till Stockholm, kolla Swedavias hemsida. Stockholm Skavsta täcks inte av denna hemsida, mer information om denna flygplats finns här.

Travel

By Car

The address of the venue is Lillåvägen 44, 128 45 Bagarmossen, just outside Stockholm city centre. More information about parking in the area will be added closer to the competition weekend.

By Train or Long Distance Buses

Take the train / bus to Stockholm Central Station / The Cityterminal. Train tickets can be booked through www.sj.se, bus tickets can be booked either at Flixbus or Nettbuss. From there, take the underground´s green line 17 heading for "Skarpnäck" and get of at "Bagarmossen". The venue is only a 200-300 meter walk from this station. More information about the public transport below.

Public Transport

It is very easy to get to the competition venue with public transport. Above is information on how to get from the central station to the venue. Other information, a handy travel planner, timetables, ticket information and more on the public transport can be found over at sl.se.The nearest stop to the competition venue is "Bagarmossen" underground station.

By Flight

Stockholm is covered by four airports, where Stockholm Arlanda and Stockholm Skavsta airports are the most relevant. Skavsta is served by low cost airlines Ryanair and Wizzair, while most of the remaining airlines make use of Arlanda airport. Stockholm Bromma, although closest to the venue, mainly handles domestic flights. For information on the respective airports, as well as transport into Stockholm, check Swedavia´s website. Stockholm Skavsta airport is not covered on that website, more information on that airport can be found here.

Since this is a one day comp, there will be no sleeping organized at the venue. However there are many hotels and hostels close to Bagarmossen. Feel free to check sites such as Booking.com to find the option best suitable for you.

Eftersom detta är endagstävling kommer det inte ordnas något deltagarboende denna gång. Det finns dock många hotell och vandrarhem i närheten av Bagarmossen. Kolla annars gärna webbplatser såsom Booking.com för att hitta det alternativ som passar dig bäst.
