Diese Ausgabe der Rhein-Neckar-Competition im Rahmen des offiziellen WCA Newcomer Month richtet sich insbesondere an neue und unerfahrene Cuber, aber auch alle anderen Cuber sind herzlich willkommen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!
Bei der Anmeldung werden 35% der Plätze für neue Teilnehmende reserviert. Als neue Teilnehmende gelten Teilnehmer:innen ohne WCA-ID oder mit einer WCA-ID aus dem Jahr 2024. Wiederkehrende Teilnehmende haben eine WCA-ID, die aus dem Jahr 2023 oder früher stammt. Alle Teilnehmenden müssen weiterhin alle Registrierungsanforderungen erfüllen, damit ihre Registrierung als vollständig gilt. Weitere Informationen zur Annahme der Anmeldungen findet ihr im Tab "Newcomer Month".This edition of the Rhein-Neckar competitions is participating in the official WCA Newcomer Month and is especially directed towards new and inexperienced competitors. Of course every other cuber is welcome as well - we are looking forward to seeing all of you there!
The registration process will reserve 35% of spots for new competitors. New competitors are considered to have no WCA ID or a WCA ID with 2024. Returning competitors are considered to have a WCA ID that is from 2023 or earlier. All competitors must still follow all registration requirements for their registration to be considered complete. Further information on the acceptance of registrations can be found in the tab "Newcomer Month".

We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Informationen für Neulinge
Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:
- Alle Neulinge sind dazu verpflichtet ein Ausweisdokument an der Anmeldung vor zu zeigen (Regulation 2e). Aus dem Dokument müssen Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum hervorgehen.
- Alle Neulinge sind eindringlich gebeten, am Tutorial (siehe Zeitplan) teilzunehmen.
- Alle Teilnehmenden sollte bereits vor der Meisterschaft mindestens einmal die offiziellen Regeln der WCA gelesen haben. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir euch einen Blick in das WCA Competition Tutorial bzw. unsere deutschsprachige Teilnehmer-Anleitung. Dort findet ihr wichtige Infos zum Ablauf und zur Teilnahme am Wettbewerb. Weiterhin bietet zum Beispiel auch dieses Video-Tutorial einen guten unterstützenden Einblick.
- Keine Angst: während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen zu stellen.
Bei Unklarheiten oder wichtigen Fragen vor dem Turnier kannst du dich gerne an das Organisationsteam wenden.

Newcomer information
If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:
- According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.
- All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Tutorial (see schedule).
- Every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition! A more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial. We also recommend this video guide for a more visual impression.
- Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.
Feel free to contact the organizer if you have any uncertainties.

Zur Haltestelle Laudenbach (Bergstr.) fährt die RB 68 (Richtung Frankfurt) stündlich von Heidelberg über Laudenbach (Bergstr.) nach Frankfurt. Von der Haltestelle aus sind es ca. 700 Meter zur Venue (über Schillerstraße).

You can take the line RB 68 from Heidelberg over Laudenbach (Bergstr.) to Frankfurt every hour. It's approximately a 700m walk from the station Laudenbach (Bergstr.) to the venue (over Schillerstraße).

Before the lunch break on Sunday (1:00 PM) we will give away ten 30€ voucher cards, including five among all participants and five among all new participants. Furthermore we will give away another five 30€ voucher cards for special achievements before the award ceremony.

Rhein-Neckar Beginners 2024 wird dieses Jahr von dem Würfelshop Cuboss.com gesponsort! * Bei fristgerechten Abmeldungen von neuen Teilnehmern, die einen der 49 reservierten Plätze eingenommen haben, wird dieser Platz vom nächsten neuen Teilnehmer auf der Warteliste besetzt.
* Wenn die 49 für neue Teilnehmende reservierten Plätze zwei Wochen vor dem Wettbewerb nicht durch neue Teilnehmende besetzt sind, werden die verbleibenden Plätze an die wiederkehrenden Teilnehmenden von der Warteliste vergeben.

This edition of the Rhein-Neckar competitions is participating in the WCA Newcomer Month. The registration process will reserve 35% of spots for new competitors. New competitors are considered to have no WCA ID or a WCA ID with 2024.
Registrations will be accepted based on the following:
* 49 spots (35% of spots) are initially reserved for new competitors.
* 91 spots (65% of spots) are initially are available for returning competitors on a first come, first serve basis.
* If more than 49 new competitors register before 91 spots are filled by returning competitors, any additional new competitors will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis alongside returning competitors.
* If a new competitor deletes their registration within the timeframe for people from the waiting list to move up, the place will be given to the next new competitor on the waiting list.
* If the 49 spots reserved for new competitors are not filled by new competitors two weeks prior to the competition, the remaining spots (up to the competitor limit) will be accepted from registered returning competitors.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
