Registration Fee: $20 flat registration fee for outside competitors, $5 for Quabbin Students or Teachers

Registration Notice: You are not required to arrive until your first event. Registration opens May 1st.

Also, if you are a student or teacher in the Quabbin Regional School District, you may compete for a reduced price of $5. When registering please indicate this in the comment section of registration and we will contact you with further instructions on payment.

Competitor Limit: There will be a maximum limit of 110 competitors. Those who wish to compete need to pre register AND prepay in order to compete. If you do not see your name on the list by the time registration closes, you will not be competing.

Online Payment Information: You are not registered until you pay the registration fee. If registration fills up before you pay, you will not be able to compete. The registration fee of $20 must be made by using the link on the Quabbin Regional School District website: www.qrsd.org. In the lower right corner of the home page, click on UniPay Online Payment Center. This link will bring you to Quabbin’s online payment options. On the left side, under Transactions, click on Rubik’s Cube Competition.

Payments using MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards and electronic payment from a checking account are accepted. A small processing fee will be assessed by Unibank/credit card company.

The waiting list means your payment has not been reviewed. Please allow up to 24 hours for payment to be reviewed. If you do not see your name on the competitor list after 24 hours of payment, please use the contact information to let us know.

Update: We have reached the maximum amount of payments allowed. if you have paid but do not see your name on the competitor list, please contact us immediately so we can make the corrections.

* The cutoff time must be beat in the first two solves to be able to finish the average (or, in events with 3 total attempts, the cutoff must be beat in the first attempt). The time limit is the time at which the competitor will be stopped and get a DNF.

The competition will take place in the cafeteria. Parking is found around the back of the school. You can find the venue and directions here.

Lunch will not be served. However, there are multiple food options in the center of town and within driving distance. Some good options for food are Northeast Pizza, Barre Pizza, and Subway. All of these options are located within driving distance of the venue.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
