Newcomers Costa Rica 2024
Es la segunda competencia del nuevo año 2024.
Esta competencia es reconocida como una competencia official de la World Cube Association.
La competencia es abierta a competidores de cualquier nacionalidad, el registro esta habilitado desde la página oficial de la WCA. No es necesario tener experiencia, pero los competidores deben estar conocer los Reglamentos
El acceso a invitados y espectadores será gratuita.Esta competencia participa en el Mes oficial de recién llegados de la WCA 2024. El proceso de registro dará prioridad a los nuevos competidores para el registro, y los competidores que regresen serán aceptados después. Se considera que los nuevos competidores no tienen ID de la WCA o tienen una ID de la WCA de 2024. Se considera que los competidores que regresan tienen una ID de la WCA de 2023 o anterior. Todos los competidores aún deben seguir todos los requisitos de registro para que su registro se considere completo.
Los competidores que ya han competido se pueden registrar en cualquier momento durante el período de registro, pero su registro será aceptado según lo siguiente :
- El primer 50% de las plazas, según lo definido por el límite de competidores, está reservado para nuevos competidores.
- Si el 50% de los lugares están ocupados por nuevos competidores, los competidores que regresan serán aceptados por orden de llegada.
- Si el 50% de los lugares no están ocupados por nuevos competidores antes del cierre de registro dos semanas antes de la competencia, se aceptarán los lugares restantes, hasta el límite de competidores, de los competidores registrados que regresan.

**Newcomers Costa Rica 2024
Is a second competition of the new year 2024.
This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition.
The competition is open to all competitors of all nationalities. Registration is available on the WCA website. No experience in WCA competitions is necessary, but competitors should be familiar with the WCA Regulations
The competition is free to spectators and guests.This competition is participating in the official WCA Newcomer Month 2024. The registration process will prioritize new competitors for registration, and returning competitors will be accepted after. New competitors are considered to have no WCA ID or a WCA ID with 2024. Returning competitors are considered to have a WCA ID that is from 2023 or earlier. All competitors must still follow all registration requirements for their registration to be considered complete.
Returning competitors may still register at any point during the registration period, but their registration will be accepted based on the following:
The first 50% of spots, as defined by the competitor limit, are reserved for new competitors.
If 50% of spots are filled by new competitors, returning competitors will then be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
If 50% of spots are not filled by new competitors by registration close two weeks prior to the competition, remaining spots, up to the competitor limit, will be accepted from registered returning competitors.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₡4,000 (Costa Rican Colón).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.

Realizar el proceso de registro en esta página (Register) seleccionando las categorías para participar.
Efectuar el pago respectivo, el costo es de CRC 4.000.00 que incluye participación en todas las categorías.
REGISTRO
Para un registro exitoso, recomendamos seguir los siguientes pasos:Conocer el Reglamento WCA ya que este es un torneo oficial
Elegir los eventos a inscribir cuidadosamente luego de revisar la información en las pestañas Categorias y Horario. Prestar atención a los formatos de las rondas y a sus cortes y límites.
Inscribirse electrónicamente completando el procesoHacer el pago de la inscripción de alguna de estas formas:

Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
