🏛️ Infraestructura y ubicación
El Fórum Centro de Convenciones es un complejo arquitectónico de gran relevancia, edificado sobre la estructura restaurada de la antigua estación de Ferrocarriles Mitre. El certamen se desarrollará en uno de los salones modulares del edificio, el cual se adapta mediante un sistema de paneles móviles. Al ingresar por la explanada principal de la calle Perú, los asistentes encontrarán señalización oficial dispuesta por la organización que los guiará de manera directa hacia la sala específica de la competencia. Todo el recinto dispone de climatización central permanente.

☕ Cafetería y servicios
Las instalaciones cuentan con un sector de cafetería integrado y habilitado para el público general. Este espacio resulta fundamental, ya que permite a los competidores y a sus acompañantes adquirir refrigerios sin la necesidad de abandonar el edificio entre las distintas rondas. Asimismo, el predio exterior ofrece dársenas de estacionamiento con una capacidad aproximada para 170 vehículos.

🚫 Normas y prohibiciones
Con el objetivo de preservar la limpieza del complejo y resguardar el equipamiento oficial de medición, rige una prohibición estricta sobre el consumo de alimentos y bebidas dentro de la sala de competencia. La única excepción autorizada es el ingreso con botellas de agua que posean tapa de cierre hermético. Cualquier otro tipo de comida, snack o infusión deberá consumirse exclusivamente en el área de la cafetería o en los sectores exteriores parquizados.

Los sanitarios se encuentran ubicados en la galería de conexión central del edificio. Mantienen una distancia de fácil acceso desde nuestra sala designada, lo cual garantiza que los participantes no sufran demoras ni inconvenientes durante los llamados oficiales a sus respectivos grupos de resolución.

🏛️ Infrastructure and location
The Fórum Convention Center is an architectural complex of great relevance, built over the restored structure of the historic Mitre Railway station. The championship will take place in one of the building's modular halls, which is adapted using a system of movable walls. Upon entering through the main plaza on Perú street, attendees will find official signage provided by the organization that will guide them directly to the specific competition room. The entire venue features permanent central air conditioning.

☕ Cafeteria and services
The facilities include an integrated cafeteria area open to the general public. This space is highly convenient, as it allows competitors and their companions to purchase snacks without needing to leave the building between rounds. Additionally, the outdoor grounds offer parking bays with an approximate capacity of 170 vehicles.

🚫 Rules and prohibitions
In order to maintain the cleanliness of the complex and protect the official timing equipment, there is a strict prohibition regarding the consumption of food and beverages inside the competition hall. The only permitted exception is water in bottles with secure, leak-proof caps. Any other type of food, snacks, or drinks must be consumed exclusively in the cafeteria area or the outdoor parks.

The restrooms are located in the central connecting lobby of the building. They are easily accessible from our designated hall, ensuring that participants do not experience delays or inconveniences during the official calls for their respective solving groups.

📍 Ubicación exacta y acceso
El Nacional se realizará en el Fórum Centro de Convenciones, ubicado en Perú 511. Este edificio histórico es la antigua estación de trenes restaurada. El ingreso peatonal principal para competidores y público general se hace por la gran explanada de la calle Perú, casi llegando a la intersección con Rivadavia. Una vez dentro del complejo, encontrarán señalización oficial con carteles que los guiarán de manera directa hasta la sala específica donde se desarrollará la competencia.

🚌 Desde la Terminal de Ómnibus
La terminal central de Santiago del Estero está estratégicamente ubicada a muy pocas cuadras del Fórum.

Caminando: Es la alternativa más rápida y práctica. Al salir de la terminal, simplemente camine unos 500 metros en línea recta por la calle Perú hacia el centro. Llegará de frente al centro de convenciones en menos de 10 minutos.

Vehículo: Si traslada equipaje pesado, puede tomar un radiotaxi en la parada oficial ubicada en la puerta. El trayecto dura aproximadamente dos minutos.

✈️ Desde el Aeropuerto (Vicecomodoro Ángel de la Paz Aragonés)
El aeropuerto se encuentra en la zona noroeste, a unos 7 kilómetros del casco céntrico.

Radiotaxis y Remises: Es la vía más segura y recomendada. A la salida del sector de arribos encontrará las paradas oficiales. El trayecto hasta el Fórum demora entre 15 y 20 minutos, dependiendo del tránsito.

Colectivos: No existen líneas de transporte urbano preparadas para ingresar al aeropuerto y trasladar pasajeros con equipaje. Se sugiere descartar esta opción para su llegada.

🚕 Movilidad interna en la ciudad

Transporte público: Los colectivos urbanos operan exclusivamente con la tarjeta nacional SUBE. Varias líneas convergen en el centro y tienen paradas a una o dos cuadras del recinto.

Radiotaxis: Son el medio de transporte privado más tradicional y abundante en Santiago. Se reconocen por su carrocería blanca y techo amarillo. Son económicos, seguros y cuentan con una disponibilidad prácticamente inmediata en las avenidas principales.

📱 Aplicaciones de viajes (Uber / Didi): Estas plataformas internacionales se encuentran operativas en la ciudad. Resultan una excelente herramienta para cotizar, comparar precios y elegir la opción más conveniente antes de viajar. No obstante, considere que su flota de conductores suele ser más reducida que la de los radiotaxis locales, lo que eventualmente puede implicar tiempos de espera un poco más prolongados.

📍 Exact location and access
The National Championship will take place at the Fórum Convention Center, located at Perú 511. This historic building is a beautifully restored train station. The main pedestrian entrance for competitors and the general public is through the large plaza on Perú street, near the intersection with Rivadavia. Once inside the complex, official signage will guide you directly to the specific hall where the competition is being held.

🚌 From the Bus Terminal
Santiago del Estero's central bus terminal is strategically located just a few blocks from the Fórum.

Walking: This is the fastest and most practical alternative. Upon exiting the terminal, simply walk straight for about 500 meters down Perú street towards downtown. You will reach the convention center in under 10 minutes.

Vehicle: If you are carrying heavy luggage, grab a radiotaxi at the official stand right outside the doors. The ride takes approximately two minutes.

✈️ From the Airport (Vicecomodoro Ángel de la Paz Aragonés)
The airport is located in the northwest area, about 7 kilometers from the city center.

Radiotaxis and Remises: This is the safest and recommended way to travel. You will find official taxi stands right outside the arrivals hall. The trip to the Fórum takes between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Public Buses: There are no urban bus lines equipped to enter the airport and accommodate passengers with luggage. Please rule out this option for your arrival.

🚕 Getting around the city

Public Transport: Urban buses operate exclusively with the national SUBE card. Several lines converge downtown and have stops just a block or two away from the venue.

Radiotaxis: They are the most traditional and abundant private transportation method in Santiago. You will recognize them by their white bodies and yellow roofs. They are affordable, safe, and have almost immediate availability on main avenues.

📱 Ride-hailing apps (Uber / Didi): These international platforms are currently operating in the city. They are an excellent tool to check fares, compare prices, and choose the most convenient option before traveling. However, please note that their active driver fleet is usually smaller than that of local radiotaxis, which may occasionally result in slightly longer wait times.

Para apreciar la inmensidad de la ciudad desde la altura, recomendamos visitar las torres de este moderno complejo gubernamental. El acceso a su mirador panorámico en el piso 24 es de carácter gratuito y brinda una perspectiva visual inigualable.

🌳 Parque Aguirre
El pulmón verde más importante de la capital. Es un espacio sumamente extenso que bordea el Río Dulce, ideal para el esparcimiento y la recreación. Sugerimos programar su visita exclusivamente hacia el final de la tarde, cuando el sol desciende, para disfrutar del entorno de forma cómoda y segura.

🏛️ Centro Cultural del Bicentenario (CCB)
Located right downtown facing Plaza Libertad, this massive heritage complex houses three fundamental institutions: the Historical Museum, the Museum of Anthropological Sciences, and the Fine Arts Museum. It is an essential cultural visit and, thanks to its excellent central air conditioning, the perfect choice for the hottest hours of the day.

🌉 Puente Carretero
A true provincial architectural emblem, declared a National Historic Monument. This imposing and historic steel structure crosses the Dulce River, connecting the capital city with the neighboring city of La Banda, providing a classic postcard view of the region.

🏙️ Complejo Juan Felipe Ibarra Viewpoint
To appreciate the vastness of the city from above, we recommend visiting the towers of this modern government complex. Access to its panoramic viewpoint on the 24th floor is completely free and offers an unparalleled visual perspective.

🌳 Parque Aguirre
The most important green lung of the capital. It is an exceptionally large space bordering the Dulce River, ideal for leisure and recreation. We suggest scheduling your visit exclusively towards the late afternoon, once the sun begins to set, to enjoy the surroundings comfortably and safely.

Diciembre en Santiago del Estero tiene un clima extremo, con temperaturas que superan fácilmente los 40 °C y una sensación térmica agobiante. Para que el calor no arruine tu experiencia en este Nacional, ampliamos las medidas de seguridad que todos los asistentes deben respetar.

💧 Hidratación constante y estratégica:
No esperes a tener la boca seca para tomar agua, porque ese ya es un síntoma leve de deshidratación. Acostumbrate a dar sorbos regulares cada veinte o treinta minutos. Te sugerimos traer una botella térmica grande para recargarla en los dispensers del Fórum. Además, si vas a caminar por la ciudad, intercalá el agua con alguna bebida isotónica para reponer sales minerales. Evitá el consumo excesivo de mate, café o gaseosas azucaradas durante el mediodía - su efecto diurético te juega totalmente en contra.

👕 Ropa adecuada para el clima local:
El guardarropa que elijas hace una diferencia abismal. Dejá de lado las telas sintéticas, el poliéster pesado o la ropa ajustada que no deja respirar la piel. Lo ideal es usar prendas muy holgadas, preferentemente de algodón ligero o lino, y siempre en colores claros que reflejen la luz solar. Si venís de provincias del sur o zonas frías, mentalizate para cambiar tu forma de vestir durante estos tres días.

❄️ Aprovechá el refugio del Fórum:
El Fórum Centro de Convenciones tiene un sistema de climatización central excelente, convirtiéndolo en un verdadero oasis. Te recomendamos enfáticamente que planifiques tu día para estar dentro del recinto durante la franja más crítica -entre las 11:00 y las 17:00-. Aprovechá ese tiempo bajo el aire acondicionado para calentar los dedos, hacer intercambios en la zona de recreación, comer algo en el buffet interno o simplemente descansar con tus amigos de otras regiones.

🧴 Protección solar innegociable:
Si necesitás salir del salón para almorzar o hacer el trayecto desde tu hotel, la protección física es obligatoria. Usá un protector solar de factor alto (FPS 50 o superior) y acordate de reaplicarlo si sudás mucho. Sumá sí o sí una gorra, sombrero y anteojos de sol; el impacto directo de los rayos UV en la cabeza y la nuca es la vía más rápida para sufrir una insolación en Santiago.

🚨 Escuchá las señales de tu cuerpo:
Los golpes de calor a veces aparecen de golpe, sin mucho aviso previo. Si empezás a sentir mareos, dolor de cabeza punzante, náuseas, calambres o notas que tu piel está caliente pero seca -sin sudor-, frená inmediatamente lo que estés haciendo. Acercate a la mesa de registro, a los voluntarios o buscá a cualquier miembro del equipo organizador. No intentes aguantar el malestar; te llevamos a una zona fresca y te asistimos rápido.

December in Santiago del Estero has an extreme climate, with temperatures easily exceeding 40 °C (104 °F) and a heavily oppressive heat index. To ensure the weather doesn't ruin your experience at this National Championship, we have expanded the safety guidelines all attendees must follow.

💧 Constant and strategic hydration:
Do not wait until your mouth is dry to drink water, as that is already a mild sign of dehydration. Get used to taking regular sips every twenty or thirty minutes. We highly suggest bringing a large insulated bottle to refill at the Fórum's water stations. Also, if you plan to walk around the city, mix your water intake with sports drinks to replenish electrolytes. Avoid excessive consumption of mate, coffee, or sugary sodas during midday - their diuretic effect works entirely against you.

👕 Appropriate clothing for the local weather:
Your wardrobe choices make a massive difference. Leave behind heavy synthetic fabrics, polyester, or tight clothes that prevent your skin from breathing. The ideal choice is very loose-fitting garments, preferably made of light cotton or linen, and always in light colors that reflect sunlight. If you are traveling from cooler southern regions, prepare to adapt your daily wear for these three days.

❄️ Take advantage of the Fórum's shelter:
The Fórum Convention Center features an excellent central air conditioning system, making it a true oasis. We strongly recommend planning your day so you stay indoors during the most critical hours -between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM-. Use that time under the AC to warm up your fingers, trade puzzles in the recreation area, grab a bite at the indoor cafeteria, or simply relax with friends from other provinces.

🧴 Non-negotiable sun protection:
If you need to step outside to grab lunch or commute from your hotel, physical protection is mandatory. Apply a high SPF sunscreen (50 or higher) and remember to reapply if you sweat heavily. You must wear a cap, hat, and sunglasses; direct UV impact on your head and neck is the fastest way to get sunstroke in Santiago.

🚨 Listen to your body's warning signs:
Heatstroke can sometimes hit suddenly, with little prior warning. If you start feeling dizzy, get a sharp headache, nausea, cramps, or notice your skin is hot but dry -without sweat-, stop whatever you are doing immediately. Approach the registration desk, the volunteers, or find any organizing staff member. Do not try to tough it out; we will move you to a cool area and assist you right away.

Algunas categorias cuentan con un límite acumulativo (ver en Eventos), es decir, los competidores contarán como máximo con ese límite entre todos sus intentos sumados.
Los jueces deberán detener al competidor tan pronto como llegue a este límite, y no deberían dejarlo comenzar si tiene muy poco tiempo restante (regla 2k6).
Para poder calcular el límite restante de forma sencilla, los jueces pueden utilizar el aplicativo "Tiempo Límite".

Ejemplo 1 para un límite acumulativo de 5 minutos:

1er intento: 1:30.00
2do intento: 1:00.00
3er intento: 2:00.00
4to intento: ?
5to intento: ?
Quedan 30.00 segundos restantes para el intento 4 y 5 sumados (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00 - 2:00.00 = 30.00).
Ya que el competidor parece promediar cerca de un minuto y medio, es evidente que no tendrá tiempo suficiente para terminar la solución del intento 4 en 30.00 segundos.
Por lo tanto, lo más probable es que consiga un DNF. En este caso, el juez no deberá dejarlo comenzar y su ronda terminaría en este momento.

Ejemplo 2 para un límite acumulativo de 5 minutos:

1er intento: 1:30.00
2do intento: 1:00.00
3er intento: 2:49.27 (INVÁLIDO)
El competidor contaba con 2:30.00 minutos para el tercer intento (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00), por lo que su tercer tiempo excede el límite. El juez es el responsable de frenar al competidor tan pronto como supere el tiempo máximo (2:30.00 en este caso), por lo que el intento se cuenta como terminado en ese momento. Ya que el competidor no había resuelto el puzzle luego de 2:30.00 minutos (pues demoró 2:49.27), su intento pasa a ser DNF.
Recordemos que el juez no debería haber permitido que el competidor finalice su solución, y debe interrumpirlo tan pronto como llegue al límite.

Todos los intentos subsiguientes que no se realicen por haber llegado al tiempo límite serán registrados como "DNS" (Did Not Start).

Some events have a cumulative limit (Events), meaning competitors have a maximum time limit across all their attempts combined.
Judges must stop the competitor as soon as they reach this limit and should not allow them to start if very little time remains (rule 2k6).
To easily calculate the remaining limit, judges can use the "Time Limit" app.

Example 1 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:

1st attempt: 1:30.00
2nd attempt: 1:00.00
3rd attempt: 2:00.00
4th attempt: ?
5th attempt: ?
There are 30.00 seconds remaining for the 4th and 5th attempts combined (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00 - 2:00.00 = 30.00).
Since the competitor averages around a minute and a half, it’s clear they won’t have enough time to complete the 4th attempt in 30.00 seconds.
Therefore, they are likely to receive a DNF. In this case, the judge should not allow them to start, and their round would end at this point.

Example 2 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:

1st attempt: 1:30.00
2nd attempt: 1:00.00
3rd attempt: 2:49.27 (INVALID)
The competitor had 2:30.00 minutes for the third attempt (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00). Their third attempt exceeds the limit. The judge is responsible for stopping the competitor as soon as they exceed the maximum time (2:30.00 in this case), so the attempt is considered finished at that moment. Since the competitor had not solved the puzzle after 2:30.00 minutes (as it took 2:49.27), their attempt is recorded as DNF.
Note that the judge should not have allowed the competitor to complete their solve and must interrupt them as soon as the limit is reached.

All subsequent attempts not performed due to reaching the time limit will be recorded as "DNS" (Did Not Start).

🤝 Sistema de Voluntarios y Recompensas

Para este Nacional implementaremos una dinámica de colaboración abierta. No contaremos con un equipo de staff cerrado; en su lugar, cualquier asistente podrá ofrecerse espontáneamente para ayudar como juez, runner o mezclador durante los grupos en los que no le toque competir.

Cada vez que colabores activamente en una ronda, la organización registrará tu participación. Quienes sumen mayor cantidad de asistencias a lo largo de los tres días participarán por premios especiales 🎁 y reconocimientos que entregaremos durante el cierre del evento.

El éxito de un campeonato de esta magnitud depende estrictamente del esfuerzo colectivo. Te invitamos a quedarte en el salón tras terminar tus resoluciones para sumar tu aporte. For this National Championship, we will implement an open collaboration dynamic. We will not have a restricted staff team; instead, any attendee can spontaneously volunteer to help as a judge, runner, or scrambler during the groups they are not competing in.

Every time you actively assist in a round, the organization will record your participation. Those who accumulate the highest number of collaborations throughout the three days will be eligible for special prizes 🎁 and recognitions awarded during the closing ceremony.
