El día viernes no hay restricciones sobre la cantidad de espectadores y cualquiera puede asistir de forma libre y gratuita.

Los días sábado y domingo, por cuestiones de aforo, el predio no permite el ingreso de más de 430 personas a la vez.
Para cumplir con este requerimiento obligatorio para la utilización del salón, nos vemos obligados a restringir la cantidad de acompañantes en 1 persona por competidor.

Esto deja algunos espacios adicionales para espectadores que podrán adquirir una entrada a un costo muy reducido para asistir a observar el evento.

On Friday there are no restrictions about the number of guests and anybody can attend for free.

On Saturday and Sunday, due to capacity restrictions, the venue cannot accommodate more than 430 people at a time.

This leaves some extra spots for spectators that can acquire a ticket for a significantly reduced cost and attend to watch the event.

¿Dónde es el torneo?

Las Nacionales Argentinas 2025 son en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires en dos sedes distintas.
Para consultar la sede por fecha, por favor mirá la pestaña de "DIRECCIÓN".

¿Cómo funciona el torneo?

El torneo tendrá dieciséis categorías (tipos de cubos distintos), cada una con diferentes rondas; podés verlas acá.
Los participantes mejor clasificados de cada ronda avanzarán a las siguientes etapas, culminando en una final, donde los tres mejores se alzarán en el Podio Nacional. El vencedor de esta última contienda será coronado como el Campeón Nacional de su respectiva categoría.

¿Cómo pago el registro?

Al momento de registrarte (click para registrarse) podrás ver todos los detalles para el pago.

¿Qué edad debo tener para competir?

Cualquiera puede competir a cualquier edad; la única distinción es por tipo de prueba (puzzle), no por edad, género, ni velocidad.
Si sos menor de edad y venís solo, recordá traer una autorización firmada por un adulto responsable.

Es mi primer torneo, ¿puedo participar igual?

¡Sí, podrás participar! Los primerizos son bienvenidos a este torneo.

¿Cuán rápido tengo que ser para participar?

No hay ninguna restricción más allá de saber armar el cubo. Sin embargo, las rondas tienen tiempos límites que no podrás exceder para tener un resultado válido.

¿Puedo llevar invitados?

Cada competidor recibirá entradas para espectadores, una por cada día del torneo.
No tenemos restricción de espectadores para el viernes, pero los días sábado y domingo exigimos un máximo de 1 (un) espectador por competidor debido a cuestiones de aforo.
Espectadores sin una entrada para espectadores no podrán ingresar al predio.

¿Dónde retiro las entradas para espectadores?

Se te darán las entradas para espectadores el día sábado al momento del registro (ver horario). Te daremos una entrada para un espectador, que es transferible a quien quieras, y vale para el día sábado y domingo. El viernes no se precisa.

No compito pero me interesa, ¿puedo ir a ver?

Por cuestiones de aforo, solo se permiten espectadores como acompañantes de competidores registrados.
En función del aforo restante, pondremos a la venta entradas para espectadores adicionales. Esta información será comunicada por correo a los competidores registrados, así como en esta página, y en el Instagram de ASA, en caso de suceder.

¿Cómo llego al lugar?

Podés consultar los detalles en la pestaña "DIRECCIÓN".

¿Tengo que llevar mis cubos?

Sí, es necesario que lleves tus propios cubos; nosotros no podremos brindarte uno. Sin embargo, siempre podrás pedirle a otro competidor alguno prestado.

¿A qué hora tengo que estar?

Antes de la competición, se te enviará un horario individual en el que figurarán tus grupos y horarios de competición. Procurá estar en la sala en la que compitas al menos 30 minutos antes del comienzo de tu grupo y prestá atención a los anuncios por pantalla o parlantes. En caso de perder tu grupo, no podrás competir en la ronda correspondiente.

Por otro lado, es importante llegar al momento del registro (ver horario) para poder retirar tu Kit de competidor, junto con las entradas para espectadores.

¿Puedo ir solo un día?

Es importante prestar atención a qué días serán las rondas en las que participes. Podés ver el horario en este link.
Si no te presentás para competir en una ronda, perderás el lugar.
Si no hay ninguna ronda en la cual compitas, no es necesario que vengas ese día, ¡aunque te agradeceremos mucho que vengas a ayudar!

¿Cómo sé si pasé de ronda?

Los tiempos se subirán a WCA Live a lo largo del día. Tené en cuenta que puede haber errores en el ingreso de datos; estos tardan en corregirse aproximadamente una hora. Al completar la subida de tiempos de un evento, podrás ver su respectiva clasificación y la posición en la que quedaste; los competidores en verde pasarán a la siguiente ronda.

¿Hay comida en el torneo?

Contaremos con puestos de comida dentro del lugar, aunque hay muchas opciones gastronómicas cerca también.

¿Puedo inscribirme en todos los eventos?

¡Sí! Podés inscribirte en todos los eventos que quieras con el pago del registro, siempre y cuando califiques.

¿Habrá artículos relacionados con el torneo disponibles a la venta?

¡Por supuesto! Tendremos un stand de venta con productos de edición limitada Nacionales Argentinas 2025.

Where is the tournament?

The Argentine Nationals 2025 will take place in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires at two different venues.
To check the venue by date, please see the "ADDRESS" tab.

How does the tournament work?

The tournament will feature sixteen categories (different types of cubes), each with various rounds; you can view them here.
The top-ranked participants from each round will advance to the next stages, culminating in a final, where the top three will stand on the National Podium. The winner of this final round will be crowned the National Champion of their respective category.

How do I pay for registration?

When you register (click to register), you will see all the payment details.

What age do I need to be to compete?

Anyone can compete at any age; the only distinction is by type of puzzle, not by age, gender, or speed.
If you are a minor and coming alone, remember to bring a signed authorization from a responsible adult.

It’s my first tournament, can I still participate?

Yes, you can participate! First-timers are welcome at this tournament.

How fast do I need to be to participate?

There are no restrictions beyond knowing how to solve the cube. However, rounds have time limits that you cannot exceed to have a valid result.

Can I bring guests?

Each competitor will receive spectator tickets, one per tournament day.
There are no spectator restrictions for Friday, but on Saturday and Sunday, we require a maximum of one spectator per competitor due to capacity issues.
Spectators without a spectator ticket will not be allowed to enter the venue.

Where do I pick up spectator tickets?

Spectator tickets will be provided on Saturday during registration (see schedule). You will receive one transferable spectator ticket, valid for Saturday and Sunday. No ticket is needed for Friday.

I’m not competing but I’m interested, can I attend to watch?

Due to capacity constraints, only spectators accompanying registered competitors are allowed.
Depending on remaining capacity, additional spectator tickets may be sold. This information will be communicated via email to registered competitors, on this page, and on ASA’s Instagram, if applicable.

How do I get to the venue?

You can check the details in the "ADDRESS" tab.

Do I need to bring my own cubes?

Yes, you must bring your own cubes; we cannot provide them. However, you can always borrow one from another competitor.

What time do I need to be there?

Before the competition, you will receive an individual schedule listing your groups and competition times. Aim to be in the competition room at least 30 minutes before your group starts and pay attention to announcements on screens or speakers. If you miss your group, you cannot compete in that round.

Additionally, it’s important to arrive at registration time (see schedule) to pick up your competitor kit and spectator tickets.

Can I attend just one day?

Pay attention to the days your rounds are scheduled. You can view the schedule here.
If you don’t show up for a round, you will lose your spot.
If there are no rounds you’re competing in, you don’t need to attend that day, though we’d greatly appreciate your help if you come!

How do I know if I advanced to the next round?

Times will be uploaded to WCA Live throughout the day. Note that data entry errors may take about an hour to correct. Once an event’s times are uploaded, you can see the rankings and your position; competitors highlighted in green will advance to the next round.

Is there food at the tournament?

All selected staff members will receive a free lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Otherwise, there will be no food stalls at the venue, but there are many dining options nearby.

How do I volunteer as staff?

We will share the process to volunteer as staff on ASA’s Instagram and in the "STAFF" tab, so stay tuned!

Can I register for all events?

Yes! You can register for any events you want with the registration fee, as long as you qualify.

Will there be tournament-related items for sale?

Absolutely! We will have a sales stand with limited-edition Argentine Nationals 2025 products.

La Copa de las Provincias, en su primera edición, buscará premiar a la provincia más rápida de Argentina en un épico duelo que enfrentará a equipos de todas las latitudes de nuestro gran país.

De forma similar a la Copa de las Naciones disputada en los Mundiales o Continentales, este espectáculo no oficial contará con las siguientes reglas:

Reglamento

• El formato de la competición es el de un torneo por eliminatorias con dieciséis equipos de tres personas.
• A pesar de tener un carácter no oficial, se seguirá el reglamento oficial de la WCA, así como sus penalizaciones estándares que incluyen desalineación, paradas/arranques del cronómetro, tiempo de inspección, entre otros.
• Durante la competencia, los integrantes resolverán un cubo de 3x3x3 de forma sucesiva. Por consiguiente, en la mesa habrá tres temporizadores, tres cubos y tres competidores. El inicio de los cronómetros segundo y tercero será únicamente cuando el participante anterior haya concluido su resolución y retorne ambas manos al cronómetro, deteniéndolo.
• El período de inspección será simultáneo para los tres miembros del equipo. Después de 12 segundos, deberán apoyar su cubo en el tapete y mantener ambas manos sobre los cronómetros. La salida efectiva de los dos equipos contendientes será indicada por el juez o el orador oficial.
• Durante la ejecución de la resolución por parte del primer integrante del equipo, los segundos y terceros miembros deberán mantener sus manos en los cronómetros. Esta misma normativa se aplica al tercer participante mientras el segundo resuelve su cubo, de lo contrario, se aplicará la penalización DNF.
• Los miembros restantes del equipo podrán continuar inspeccionando mientras sus compañeros están resolviendo, siempre y cuando mantengan sus manos sobre los cronómetros.
• El equipo triunfador será aquel con el tiempo total más bajo, que corresponderá a la suma de los tres tiempos individuales. En caso de empate en los tiempos totales, se tomará en cuenta la mejor resolución individual para declarar al equipo ganador.
• Al tratarse de un formato experimental, los jueces de este evento podrán ejercer su discreción en caso de desacuerdos e interpretación de las reglas - su decisión será inapelable.

The Copa de las Provincias ("Provinces Cup"), in its first edition, will seek to reward the fastest province in Argentina in an epic duel that will pit teams from all corners of our great country against each other.

Similar to the Nations Cup contested in the World or Continental Championships, this unofficial spectacle will have the following rules:

Regulations

• The format of the competition is that of a knockout tournament with sixteen three-person teams.
• Although unofficial in nature, the official WCA rules will be followed, as well as its standard penalties including misalignment, stops/starts of the stopwatch, inspection time, among others.
• During the competition, members will solve a 3x3x3 cube in succession. Therefore, there will be three timers, three cubes and three competitors on the table. The start of the second and third timers will be only when the previous participant has completed his resolution and returns both hands to the timer, stopping it.
• The inspection period will be simultaneous for all three team members. After 12 seconds, they must rest their cube on the mat and keep both hands on the stopwatches. The actual start of the two contending teams will be indicated by the judge or the official speaker.
• During the execution of the resolution by the first member of the team, the second and third members must keep their hands on the stopwatches. This same rule applies to the third participant while the second one resolves his cube, otherwise, the DNF penalty will be applied.
• The remaining team members may continue inspecting while their teammates are solving, as long as they keep their hands on the stopwatches.
• The winning team will be the one with the lowest total time, which will correspond to the sum of the three individual times. In case of a tie in total times, the best individual resolution will be taken into account to declare the winning team.
• As this is an experimental format, the judges of this event may exercise their discretion in case of disagreements and interpretation of the rules - their decision will be final.

Todas las categorías cuentan con un límite acumulativo, es decir, los competidores contarán como máximo con ese límite entre todos sus intentos sumados.
Los jueces deberán detener al competidor tan pronto como llegue a este límite, y no deberían dejarlo comenzar si tiene muy poco tiempo restante (regla 2k6).
Para poder calcular el límite restante de forma sencilla, los jueces pueden utilizar el aplicativo "Tiempo Límite".

Ejemplo 1 para un límite acumulativo de 5 minutos:

• 1er intento: 1:30.00
• 2do intento: 1:00.00
• 3er intento: 2:00.00
• 4to intento: ?
• 5to intento: ?

Quedan 30.00 segundos restantes para el intento 4 y 5 sumados (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00 - 2:00.00 = 30.00).
Ya que el competidor parece promediar cerca de un minuto y medio, es evidente que no tendrá tiempo suficiente para terminar la solución del intento 4 en 30.00 segundos.
Por lo tanto, lo más probable es que consiga un DNF. En este caso, el juez no deberá dejarlo comenzar y su ronda terminaría en este momento.

Ejemplo 2 para un límite acumulativo de 5 minutos:

• 1er intento: 1:30.00
• 2do intento: 1:00.00
• 3er intento: 2:49.27 (INVÁLIDO)

El competidor contaba con 2:30.00 minutos para el tercer intento (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00), por lo que su tercer tiempo excede el límite. El juez es el responsable de frenar al competidor tan pronto como supere el tiempo máximo (2:30.00 en este caso), por lo que el intento se cuenta como terminado en ese momento. Ya que el competidor no había resuelto el puzzle luego de 2:30.00 minutos (pues demoró 2:49.27), su intento pasa a ser DNF.
Recordemos que el juez no debería haber permitido que el competidor finalice su solución, y debe interrumpirlo tan pronto como llegue al límite.

Todos los intentos subsiguientes que no se realicen por haber llegado al tiempo límite serán registrados como "DNS" (Did Not Start).

All events have a cumulative limit, meaning competitors have a maximum time limit across all their attempts combined.
Judges must stop the competitor as soon as they reach this limit and should not allow them to start if very little time remains (rule 2k6).
To easily calculate the remaining limit, judges can use the "Time Limit" app.

Example 1 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:

• 1st attempt: 1:30.00
• 2nd attempt: 1:00.00
• 3rd attempt: 2:00.00
• 4th attempt: ?
• 5th attempt: ?

There are 30.00 seconds remaining for the 4th and 5th attempts combined (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00 - 2:00.00 = 30.00).
Since the competitor averages around a minute and a half, it’s clear they won’t have enough time to complete the 4th attempt in 30.00 seconds.
Therefore, they are likely to receive a DNF. In this case, the judge should not allow them to start, and their round would end at this point.

Example 2 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:

• 1st attempt: 1:30.00
• 2nd attempt: 1:00.00
• 3rd attempt: 2:49.27 (INVALID)

The competitor had 2:30.00 minutes for the third attempt (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00). Their third attempt exceeds the limit. The judge is responsible for stopping the competitor as soon as they exceed the maximum time (2:30.00 in this case), so the attempt is considered finished at that moment. Since the competitor had not solved the puzzle after 2:30.00 minutes (as it took 2:49.27), their attempt is recorded as DNF.
Note that the judge should not have allowed the competitor to complete their solve and must interrupt them as soon as the limit is reached.

All subsequent attempts not performed due to reaching the time limit will be recorded as "DNS" (Did Not Start).
