There is a competitor limit of 100 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $25 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Please refer to the Competitor Responsibilities tab before registering.

If the competitor limit has been reached and you register for this competition, you will be added onto the waitlist. Once on the waitlist, you must complete your registration (by paying the registration fee). As competitors delete their registrations, spots will open up for people on the waitlist and competitors will be taken on a first-come first-serve basis from those that have paid. If you are accepted from off of the waitlist, you will be notified by receiving an email saying that your registration has been accepted. We will only be taking people from the waitlist until the end of Friday March 6th. If you do not make it off the waitlist, you will be fully refunded your registration fee and will, unfortunately, not be able to compete in the competition. On-site registrations will not be accepted.

You are still welcome to come and socialize with cubers at the competition, which we strongly recommend you do if you're not too far from the venue. It's not every day that you're in a room with 100+ cubers! If you have not attended a competition yet and don't make it off the waitlist, this is a great opportunity to go see what a competition is like without having to worry about your results.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST READ THIS TAB BEFORE REGISTERING.

When you arrive, you will receive a card/nametag with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also receive staffing assignments. All competitors are expected to help at this competition. For each event you sign up for, you will be assigned to help out for just one group of that event. If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

We will provide a judging tutorial at the beginning of the day, right before the start of 2x2 Round 1. This will allow anyone with questions about how to judge to be properly prepared when they are expected to help. We hope that this system will fairly divide up the judging of the competition and make the competition run smoothly for all.

For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

First, please be familiar with the WCA Regulations and Guidelines.

This video will explain most of what any cuber competing for the first time will need to know.

In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition to learn about the procedures for judging and competing.

If you are stoked to compete and ready to sign up, head over to the registration tab, click register, and fill out the information it asks for. This will help you get set up the WCA's system and one step closer to your first official solve!

More information will be given in the pre-competition email that will be sent out the few days before the competition.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube, or arrange to borrow a cube from a friend.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: What do I do when I walk in?
A: There is NO CHECK-IN. If you registered online, just have fun and hang out with other cubers. We will be calling people up, so just wait for your name/group to be announced.

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to WCA Live to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about 2nd and 3rd rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?
A: Make sure you pay you entrance fee in order to be placed on the registered list, which will also guarantee you a spot in the competition. If payment may be any issue, or you are not sure if you can attend, use the contact button to talk to us, and see if we can work out another payment strategy, or have you pay on arrival at the compeition. No matter what you situation may be however, please register online. For most competitions, including this one, you may only compete if you have registered online and paid before the deadline.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!
