🧩 1. Crear una cuenta en la WCA

Si nunca has competido y no tienes una cuenta en la WCA, debes crear una para poder registrarte.

2. 📝 Completa el formulario con tu correo electrónico, contraseña, y selecciona si has participado antes o no.
   
3. ✅ Confirma tu cuenta siguiendo las instrucciones enviadas a tu correo electrónico.

🧭 2. Registrarte en el Campeonato

Con tu cuenta WCA activa, vuelve a la página del campeonato Los Angeles Chile Back 2025 y sigue estos pasos:

1. 🌐 Ingresa a la página de inscripción del campeonato.
   
2. 📅 Selecciona las categorías en las que deseas competir.
   
3. 📝 Completa tu registro y verifica que tus datos sean correctos.

💰 3. Realizar el pago de inscripción

• 💵 La inscripción tiene un valor de $7.000 CLP.
  
• 📧 Los datos de la cuenta bancaria y las instrucciones de pago se enviarán al correo registrado.

⚠️ El pago es obligatorio para confirmar tu cupo en la competencia.

📤 4. Enviar el comprobante de pago

Una vez realizado el pago:

1. ✉️ Envía el comprobante al correo losangelesback2025@gmail.com
   
2. 🧾 Indica en el correo el nombre completo del competidor.
   
3. 🆕 Si el competidor es nuevo, menciónalo en el correo.

🌎 5. Para competidores fuera de Chile

Si resides fuera del país:

• 📧 Luego del registro, recibirás un correo electrónico con un link de pago internacional.
  
• 🕒 Si no recibes el correo dentro de 24 horas, contáctanos directamente a losangelesback2025@gmail.com
  
• 🆕 Recuerda incluir el nombre del competidor y especificar si es su primera competencia.

With your WCA account active, go to the Los Angeles Chile Back 2025 competition page and follow these steps:

2. 📅 Select the events you wish to compete in.
   
3. 📝 Complete your registration and double-check your details.

💰 3. Pay the registration fee

• 💵 The registration fee is $7,000 CLP.
  
• 📧 The bank account details and payment instructions will be sent to your registered email.

⚠️ Payment is required to confirm your spot in the competition.

📤 4. Send your payment receipt

Once you’ve made the payment:

1. ✉️ Send the payment receipt to losangelesback2025@gmail.com
   
2. 🧾 Include the competitor’s full name in the email.
   
3. 🆕 If the competitor is new, mention it in the email.

🌎 5. For competitors outside Chile

If you live outside Chile:

• 📧 After registering, you’ll receive an email with a link for international payment.
  
• 🕒 If you don’t receive the email within 24 hours, contact us directly at losangelesback2025@gmail.com.
  
• 🆕 Remember to include the competitor’s name and specify if it’s their first competition.

🧭 Cómo llegar

🚍 Desde el Terminal de Buses de Los Ángeles

1. Desde el Terminal de Buses de Los Ángeles, toma un taxi o colectivo hacia INACAP Los Ángeles (Av. 21 de Mayo 701).
   
2. También puedes caminar aproximadamente 10 a 15 minutos hacia el norte por Av. Ricardo Vicuña, luego doblar hacia Av. 21 de Mayo.

⏱️ Duración aproximada: 10 a 15 minutos caminando o 5 minutos en vehículo.

🚗 Desde Concepción o Chillán

1. Toma la Ruta 5 Sur y sal en la entrada principal de Los Ángeles.
   
2. Sigue las indicaciones hacia el centro de la ciudad por Av. Vicuña Mackenna.
   
3. Dobla hacia Av. 21 de Mayo; INACAP se encuentra en el número 701.

⏱️ Duración aproximada:

- Desde Concepción: 1 hora y 30 minutos.

- Desde Chillán: 1 hora y 40 minutos.

✈️ Desde el Aeropuerto Carriel Sur (Concepción)

1. Toma un transfer o bus hacia el Terminal de Buses Collao en Concepción.
   
2. Desde allí, aborda un bus con destino a Los Ángeles (salidas cada 30 minutos).
   
3. Al llegar al Terminal de Los Ángeles, puedes caminar o tomar un taxi hasta INACAP (Av. 21 de Mayo 701).

⏱️ Duración total estimada: 2 horas y 30 minutos.

Can I attend the Los Ángeles Chile Back 2025 if I have never competed before?

Yes, you can attend and compete for the first time in this tournament.

Do I have to bring my own cube or will I be given one at the competition?

Each participant must bring their own cube to compete.

You may borrow another competitor’s cube only if you are in different groups (i.e., you cannot share cubes within the same round).

Do I have to solve the cube only once?

You will have 5 attempts per round.

Your final result will be the average of those attempts, after removing the best and worst times.

Is there an age limit to compete?

There is no age limit to compete — everyone is welcome!

Is there a separation by age or gender?

There is no separation by age or gender.

All competitors compete together in the same group.

Where can I see the results?

The official results are published on the WCA website a few days after the competition ends.

Why am I not appearing on the registration list yet?

This can happen for two main reasons:

1. You haven’t registered on the WCA competition page.
   
2. There was a problem with your payment.

What do Bo1, Bo2, Mo3, and Ao5 mean?

• Bo1 / Bo2: Best of 1 or 2 attempts.
  
• Mo3: Mean of 3 solves.
  
• Ao5: Average of 5 solves after removing the best and worst times.

All events (except 6x6x6 and 7x7x7) are Average of 5 (Ao5).

For 6x6x6 and 7x7x7, there are only 3 attempts and the Mean of 3 (Mo3) is used.

What does it mean when rounds have a cutoff?

The first round of each event (except the first 3x3 round) is a combined round.

This means there is a cutoff time.

How does it work?

In Ao5 rounds, each competitor has 2 initial attempts.

If they achieve a time below the cutoff in either attempt, they can continue with the remaining 3 attempts.

Example (2x2x2, cutoff = 8 seconds):

• Case 1: First attempt 6s → May continue with the remaining 4.
  
• Case 2: First attempt 10s, second 6s → May continue with the remaining 3.
  
• Case 3: Both attempts 10s → ❌ Cannot continue.

What does the time limit mean?

Each event has a time limit.

For example, in 3x3x3 the limit is 2 minutes.

If you exceed that time, the attempt will be stopped and marked as DNF (Did Not Finish).

¿Puedo asistir al campeonato si no he competido antes?

Sí puedes asistir y competir por primera vez en este torneo.

¿Tengo que traer mi propio cubo para competir o me pasarán uno en la competencia?

Cada participante debe traer su propio cubo para competir.

Puedes tomar prestado el cubo de otro competidor, siempre y cuando se encuentren en grupos distintos, es decir, no pueden turnarse durante una misma ronda.

¿Tengo que armar el cubo solo una vez?

Tendrás 5 intentos en cada ronda.

Tu resultado será el promedio de esos intentos, eliminando el mejor y el peor tiempo.

¿Existe un límite de edad para competir?

No existe un límite de edad para competir, todas las personas son bienvenidas.

¿Existe una separación por edad o sexo?

No existe separación por edad ni por sexo.

Todas las personas compiten en el mismo grupo.

¿Dónde puedo ver los resultados?

Los resultados generales son publicados en la WCA algunos días después de finalizada la competencia.

¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de registrados todavía?

Esto puede deberse principalmente a dos razones:

1. No te has registrado en la página de la WCA.
   
2. Has tenido problemas con el pago de tu inscripción.

¿Qué significan Bo1, Bo2, Mo3 y Ao5?

• Bo1 / Bo2: Mejor de 1 o 2 intentos respectivamente.
  
• Mo3: Promedio de 3 tiempos.
  
• Ao5: Promedio tras eliminar el mejor y el peor tiempo de 5 intentos.

Todos los eventos (excepto 6x6x6 y 7x7x7) se calculan como Average of 5 (Ao5).

Para 6x6x6 y 7x7x7, solo se tienen 3 intentos y se calcula el promedio (Mo3) sin eliminar ninguno.

¿Qué significa que las rondas tengan corte?

La primera ronda de cada categoría, con excepción de la primera ronda de 3x3, son rondas combinadas (combined rounds).

Esto significa que existe un corte o cutoff.

¿Cómo funciona?

En las rondas Ao5, cada competidor tiene 2 intentos iniciales.

Si en alguno logra un tiempo menor al cutoff designado, puede continuar con los 3 intentos restantes.

Ejemplo (2x2x2, cutoff de 8 segundos):

• Caso 1: Primer intento 6s → Puede continuar con los 4 restantes.
  
• Caso 2: Primer intento 10s, segundo 6s → Puede continuar con los 3 restantes.
  
• Caso 3: Ambos intentos 10s → ❌ No puede continuar.

¿Qué significa el límite?

Cada categoría tiene un límite de tiempo.

Por ejemplo, en 3x3x3 el límite es 2 minutos.

Si te demoras más de ese tiempo, se detendrá tu intento y se marcará como DNF (Did Not Finish).
