Information

First official WCA competition in Lesotho.

The fastest competitor from Lesotho in 3x3 event will be crowned national champion of Lesotho.

Everyone can participate, but only people with Lesotho nationality can win prizes and honours.

Three spots in the 3x3 final will be reserved for participants with Lesotho nationality.

The competition is part of a tour around six countries in three weeks. That is why this competition will take place on a Wednesday afternoon and evening.

There is a competitor limit of 35 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is 50 L (Lesotho Loti).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 3 guests.

Only after these two steps, your registration is complete. We will then accept your registration.
If there are more registrations than the maximum, your registration will be placed on the waiting list.

In the two weeks before the competition we will send you a newsletter with latest updates and a request to reconfirm your participation.

You have to pay the registration fee during on-site registration on the day of the competition.

All participants will receive a participation certificate.
The international top 3 finishers in each event will receive a certificate.
The top 3 Lesotho competitors in each event will receive a medal and a certificate.

We are in contact with a sponsor for prizes for this competition.
If available, prizes will be awarded to the highest-ranked Lesotho competitors in the 3x3 event.

Q: What do I need to bring to the competition?

Q: Can I borrow a good-quality cube?
A:
We will bring some good-quality cubes to the competition, but we cannot guarantee that everyone will be able to use one.

Q: What does the time limit for each event mean?
A:
Each event has a time limit. Competitors must solve the puzzle within that limit. The time limit applies to each individual solve. For example, the 3x3x3 Cube event has a time limit of 5 minutes. This means you must complete a single solve within 5 minutes. If you have not finished after 5 minutes, the judge will stop your attempt.

Q: How do I pay the registration fee for 50 Loti?
A:
You can pay the registration fee on the day of the competition when you check in at the entrance to the competition venue.

Q: Is it mandatory to participate in every event?
A:
No. You can choose which events you want to compete in. There is no obligation to enter every event.

Q: Do my family and friends need to pay to watch the competition?
A:
No. Admission is free. Family, friends, and anyone interested are welcome to come and watch the competition.

Q: Do I need to be very fast to participate?
A:
No. You only need to be able to solve the puzzle within the time limit set for the event you wish to enter.

Q: Can I compete with any brand of cube?
A:
Yes. You may use any brand of cube, as long as it complies with the WCA Regulations.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Advancement Condition

The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
