The competition has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
This is the Indian National Championship. Competitors of all countries can receive prizes. However, only Indians can win titles and medals.
April 23, 2020 (Day 0) is for conducting staff rounds. Participants will be allowed to enrol themselves as competition staff and the final list of staff members will be made available(through email) to those who have been enrolled and confirmed by the organization team.
A staff enrolment form will be made available soon for anyone to apply for volunteering during the competition.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₹350 (Indian Rupee).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Events Registration and Payment of Fee
Events Registration and Payment of Fee will be a combined process that participants can carry out in the Indian Nationals 2020 Website. Website details will be updated on or before February 3, 2020
Fee Structure
A base fee of ₹350 and an additional fee of ₹50 per event is applicable till February 29, 2020, after which it will increase as shown below. For example, if you compete in three events, your fees is ₹350 + (3 x ₹50 ) = ₹500.

Food
There are quite a few options available for competitors as well as parents coming to the venue for the competition
1) Java - Java is the college cafeteria where there are multiple shops available. It caters to a variety of taste buds by offering different cuisines including North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, and Arabic. There is also a Subway outlet available.
2) Fast Food Joints - There are various fast food joints located in the vicinity of the campus, such as KFC, McDonald's, Domino's and Burger King. All of these are located within a distance of 2 to 3 km from the campus.
Apart from the above, you can also order food through any of the delivery apps and can be picked up at the main gate which is located 800 m from the venue building.
Note: No food or beverages are allowed to be carried or consumed inside the TP Ganesan Auditorium, Mini Halls 1 & 2.
Reaching the City
The nearest Airport from the campus is the Chennai Airport (MAA), located at a distance of 23.5 km. For those preferring travel via Rail, there are 3 junctions which may be beneficial for those coming from outside the city - Chennai Central (46 km), Chennai Egmore (44 km) and Chengalpattu junction (17 km).
Reaching the Venue
A) Using Chennai Local Trains (The easiest option)
KEY
Potheri: This is the closest local railway station to the venue. A free shuttle bus service plies regularly to and from the campus to a point right opposite to the station. MSB-CGL trains should be taken.
Chennai Park: This is the local railway station situated opposite to the Chennai Central station. An underground subway connects the two.
Chennai Egmore: Local trains and Express trains both plies from here. To get on to a local train, one must change platforms.
Tirusulam: This is the local train station located right opposite to the airport, with an underground subway connecting the two. One can also change here for the Airport Metro station (To reach Chennai Central, if necessary).
Chengalpattu Jn: Local trains and Express trains both plies from here. To get on to a local train, one must change platforms.
B) The Venue may be reached via cab (Ola/Uber).
Reaching the Venue Building
Internal Bus Service
SRM has a dedicated, free bus service running from the Annexure Campus, inside which is located TP Ganesan Auditorium, where the competition will be held, to the entrance of the Main Campus, which is right opposite to the Potheri Railway Station. Local trains ply regularly on the line, the Airport (Tirusulam station), and the Railway Station (Park station) without any hassle. There is also an option to switch to the Metro at the Airport for reaching Chennai Central. The free shuttle service from and to the Annexure Campus and the Main Gate starts at 8 AM in the morning and ends at 9 PM with a frequency of departure every 10-15 minutes both ways.

States Cup
Inspired by the success of Nations Cup at World Championship 2017 and 2019, and States Cup of Indian Nationals 2019, teams from states all over India will compete in a knockout format. You can apply in teams of 3. Detailed instructions regarding the event and enrollment form will be added soon.
Q1. Can I add more events after my registration is approved?
Yes, one can add more events after completing the registration and payment process. Please write to us giving details of the same and we'll be glad to assist you.
NOTE - Addition of events facility is available only before the registration period ends, no requests will be entertained under any circumstance after 12 April 2020.
Q2. Can I change/remove the events I've registered for?
No, changing/removing events after your registration is approved is not allowed.
Q3: What are the rules of this event?
The competition follows the WCA Regulations. Here is a video summarizing the important ones. There will be an official competitor tutorial on Saturday at 09:15 A.M. where all the important rules will be explained.
Q4: Do I have to use my own cube to compete?
Yes! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own puzzles.
Q5: What is the normal age of competitors at these events? Are there age divisions?
The competition is open to competitors of all ages and gender. There will be only one combined ranking.
Q6: How do I find the results?
All results are posted on the WCA website within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to WCA LIVE to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.
Q7: Can I attend the competition without competing? Do guests of competitors need to pay for the competition?
Yes, you can attend the competition as a spectator.
No. All spectators are free to attend the competition at no cost. There is a payment only to compete. However, if you require any other facilities such as travel and accommodation, that will be paid for.
Q8: Can I have fun at this event?
More than you can imagine! Solving is just one part of the competition. There are also other things to keep you entertained.
Offline Registration
Apart from registering online at our website, you also have the option to register offline at some Indian competitions by paying in cash to the delegate at the competition. The registration fee will be same as the online fee. The list of competitions at which this service is available is listed below. New competitions will be added with time to this list as they are announced:

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
