Information Dual Rounds

Seit diesem Jahr gibt es ein neues Rundenformat - Dual Rounds. Teilnehmer können an beiden Runden teilnehmen, für die finale Platzierung zählt das jeweils bessere Ergebnis aus beiden Runden. Auch Teilnehmende ohne gültiges Ergebnis in einem Event in der ersten Runde (DNF oder DNS) können in der zweiten Runde teilnehmen. Siehe die dazugehörigen Regeln.

In diesem Wettbewerb werden die zwei Events 6x6x6 und 7x7x7 als Dual Round organisiert. Zusätzlich finden diese beiden Events zur gleichen Zeit mit einem kumulativen Zeitlimit statt. Die Idee dahinter ist es, allen Teilnehmenden in beiden Events drei vollständige Versuche zu ermöglichen, unabhängig davon wie schnell ihr seid. Das heißt, ihr könnt zum Beispiel in Runde 1 drei Mal 7x7x7 lösen (solange alle drei Versuche zusammengerechnet unter dem kumulativen Zeitlimit liegen) und dann in Runde 2 drei mal 6x6x6 lösen.

Starting this year, there is a new round format - Dual Rounds. Participants can compete in both rounds, the final ranking is determined by the better result from the two rounds. Even participants who did not achieve a valid result in an event during the first round (DNF or DNS) may compete in the second round. See the corresponding rules.

In this competition, the two events 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 are organized as a Dual Round. Additionally, these two events take place at the same time with a cumulative time limit. The idea behind this is to allow all participants to complete three full attempts in both events, regardless of how fast you are. This means, for example, that you can solve 7x7x7 three times in Round 1 (as long as the combined time for all three attempts is under the cumulative time limit) and then solve 6x6x6 three times in Round 2.

Informationen für Erstteilnehmer

• Falls dies deine erste Competition ist, an der du teilnimmst, ist es wichtig dass du dich mit den Regulations, also den offiziellen WCA-Regeln, bekannt machst. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir dir, dieses Video zum Ablauf einer Competition zu schauen: Competing Tutorial. Siehe dir ebenfalls dieses WCA Competition Tutorial l vor dem Turnier an.
• Wir werden an der Competition ein 'Judging Tutorial' abhalten, in welchem wir dir alle wichtigen Informationen nochmals praktisch aufzeigen.
• Erstteilnehmer müssen ein Identifikationsdokument mitnehmen um Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum zu bestätigen. Akzeptiert werden ID, Pass, Geburtsurkunden, Führerausweis etc. Kurz, alles was Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum bezeugt.
• Jedes Event wurde in zwei oder mehrere Gruppen eingeteilt, während die eine Gruppe teilnimmt, müssen die anderen Gruppen zum Judgen/Scrambeln zur Verfügung stehen. In einer Email, die wir euch kurz vor dem Turnier schicken, findet ihr die Info, in welche Gruppen ihr eingeteilt worden seid.
• Jeder Teilnehmer, der erfahren genug ist, muss beim Scramblen und Judgen aushelfen. Damit können wir für ein reibungsloses Turnier sorgen!

Informationen für alle Teilnehmer

• Bitte hilf zu judgen! Deine Einteilung als Judge ist als absolutes Minimum zu erfüllen. Weil zweite und dritte Runden keine Einteilungen von Judges haben, brauchen wir viele Teilnehmer die helfen zu judgen wann immer möglich. Wirst du persönlich aufgefordert zu judgen dann folge bitte diesen Anweisungen. Falls du nicht hilfst kann dies zu deiner Disqualifikation führen (siehe Regulation 1e2). Auch Eltern dürfen mit judgen aushelfen, es ist wirklich einfach!
• Bitte beachte dass Carbon-Fiber Puzzles nicht erlaubt sind und dass deine Würfel den Logo Regulations entsprechen.
• Wenn du am Teilnehmen bist und dein Puzzle abgegeben hast dann achte bitte darauf, im entsprechenden Wartebereich zu warten, damit Runners und Judges dich nicht suchen müssen.
• Sprich NIEMALS über Scrambles oder Lösungen während die Runde im Gang ist. Siehe dazu Regulation 2g3.
• Laufen Blind-Events bitten wir dich, ruhig zu sein, da jedes Geräusch die Konzentration der Teilnehmer stören kann. Wir werden ankündigen, ab wann Ruhe nötig ist und wenn man wieder sprechen darf.
• Fotografieren mit Blitz ist nicht erlaubt da es die Teilnehmer extrem stört.
• Wenn du zuschauen möchtest, beachte bitte den Mindestabstand von 1.5m den es laut Regulation 7b einzuhalten gilt. Wenn du einen Teilnehmer filmen möchtest beachte bitte dass du ausserhalb des Teilnehmerbereichs stehst.
• Bitte behandle die Venue mit Respekt. Entsorge deinen Müll fachgerecht oder nimm ihn nach Hause und halte deinen Platz sauber.
• An einer Competition gibt es immer tausende von Puzzles. Behalte deshalb deine Puzzles im Auge und lasse sie möglichst nicht herumliegen. Falls du doch ein Puzzle verlierst, kontaktiere uns.
• Für unsere Social Media Kanäle und unsere Website werden wir Videos und Fotos aufnehmen. Als Teilnehmer oder Gast dieser Competition akzeptierst du dass du für diese Zwecke gefilmt oder fotografiert werden könntest.

New Competitor Information

• If you are a new competitor, it is important that you are familiar with the Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a video that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending: Competing Tutorial. We will also be holding an introduction to competing as per the Schedule which we recommend you attend as well. You can also check WCA Competition Tutorial.
• New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the name, the country they wish to compete for, and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, it will be fine.
• All events are divided in two or more groups, which means in one group you can participate, in the other groups you will have to be available for judging or scrambling. You will receive an email shortly before the competition with the information about your groupings. Every Competitor, who is experienced enough, has to help with scrambling and judging. This will ensure that the competition will run without any problems.

Information for All Competitors

• Please help judging! As a competitor, your judging assignments are the absolute minimum you should be doing to help out. As second rounds, third rounds and finals have no assigned judges, we really need people to help out whenever available for these. If you are directly asked to judge, please go and judge for the remainder of the round in progress. If you do not comply then we are within our rights to disqualify you from the competition as per Regulation 1e2. If you're a parent you can also get involved with running and judging, it's really easy!
• Please note that Carbon-Fiber puzzles are not permitted, and please make sure your cube complies with logo regulations!
• When you are competing and have handed in your puzzle, please make sure to be waiting in the designated area so that judges and runners do not have to come searching for you.
• Please DO NOT talk about the scrambles or your solutions whilst the round is in progress as per Regulation 2g3.
• During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.
• No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.
• If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b. If you are filming someone competing, please stay out of the competitor area.
• Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins, black bin bags, or take it home with you and keep your area tidy.
• There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them! Keeping them in a bag and looking after it at all times is recommended. If you do lose a puzzle, please contact us.
• We will be taking videos and photographs of the competition and the environment for our social media pages and website. By attending the competition as a competitor or a guest, you are accepting that you may be filmed or photographed for these purposes.

Öffentlicher Verkehr
Die Haltestelle Finanzamt befindet sich 100m von der Venue entfernt. Vom Grazer Hauptbahnhof ist diese mit Straßenbahnlinie 4 direkt zu erreichen. Zusätzlich halten dort auch die Straßenbahnlinien 1,3,5 und 6.

Auto
Alle öffentlich Parkplätz rund um den Veranstaltungsort sind Teil einer Kurzzeitparkzone ("Blaue Zone"). Diese gilt am Samstag von 9-13 Uhr mit einer maximalen Parkdauer von 3 Stunden.

Public Transport
The tram stop “Finanzamt” is located 100 meters from the venue. You can reach it directly from Graz Central Station via tram line 4. Tram lines 1, 3, 5, and 6 also stop there.

Car
All public parking spaces around the venue are part of a short-term parking zone (“blue zone”). This applies on Saturdays from 9-13 with a maximum parking time of 3 hours.
On Sundays, parking is free of charge and there is no time limit. More information about the short-term parking zone

Park&Ride:
- P+R Murpark - large parking garage in the south of Graz, right off the A2 Graz Ost highway exit. Tram Line 4 takes 10 minutes to reach the stop Finanzamt, which is 100 meters from the venue.
