This competition will use an open and flexible format: instead of following a fixed schedule, you choose what to compete in and when.
| How does it work? | |
|---|---|
| Slots | A new one starts every 30 minutes: 20 minutes of competition + 10 minutes to prepare the next Slot. |
| Capacity | Each Slot will have limited capacity. Once full, competitors will need to choose another available Slot. |
| What you can do | In each Slot, you choose one round of one event from the available options. |
| Long rounds | If you do not finish all your attempts, you may continue the same round in another Slot. |
| Dual Rounds | Each event has Round 1 and Round 2. You may compete in either or both, with no qualification required. |
| Cumulative time | You have 72 minutes shared across all Round 1s and another independent 72 minutes across all Round 2s. |
All listed events will be available throughout the competition and there is no required order. You may register for whichever Slots you want or stop competing whenever you want.
You must be present and ready at the beginning of your Slot. New attempts will not be started when there is not enough reasonable time to finish them within its 20-minute competition window.
Slot capacity will be limited to keep the competition running smoothly with the available solving stations. The organization may adjust the capacity of some Slots depending on the selected events.
All attempts are held normally under the WCA Regulations and count as official results.
Example
You could do:
15:30 → 2x2x2 Round 1
16:00 → Pyraminx Round 1
16:30 → 5x5x5 Blindfolded Round 1 (attempt 1)
17:00 → 5x5x5 Blindfolded Round 1 (continued)
17:30 → 2x2x2 Round 2
You build your own competition schedule based on the available Slots.

More information coming soon.

All Round 1s share a 72-minute cumulative limit, meaning competitors have a maximum of 72 minutes across all their Round 1 attempts combined, regardless of the event.
All Round 2s share a separate 72-minute cumulative limit. Remaining time from Round 1 does not carry over to Round 2.
Judges must stop the competitor as soon as they reach the corresponding limit and should not allow them to start if very little time remains (rule 2k6).
To easily calculate the remaining limit, judges can use the "Time Limit" app.
Example 1 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:
- 1st attempt: 1:30.00
- 2nd attempt: 1:00.00
- 3rd attempt: 2:00.00
- 4th attempt: ?
- 5th attempt: ?
There are 30.00 seconds remaining for the 4th and 5th attempts combined (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00 - 2:00.00 = 30.00).
Since the competitor averages around a minute and a half, it’s clear they won’t have enough time to complete the 4th attempt in 30.00 seconds.
Therefore, they are likely to receive a DNF. In this case, the judge should not allow them to start, and their round would end at this point.
Example 2 for a 5-minute cumulative limit:
- 1st attempt: 1:30.00
- 2nd attempt: 1:00.00
- 3rd attempt: 2:49.27 (INVALID)
The competitor had 2:30.00 minutes for the third attempt (5:00.00 - 1:30.00 - 1:00.00). Their third attempt exceeds the limit. The judge is responsible for stopping the competitor as soon as they exceed the maximum time (2:30.00 in this case), so the attempt is considered finished at that moment. Since the competitor had not solved the puzzle after 2:30.00 minutes (as it took 2:49.27), their attempt is recorded as DNF.
Note that the judge should not have allowed the competitor to complete their solve and must interrupt them as soon as the limit is reached.
All subsequent attempts covered by that same cumulative limit that are not performed due to reaching the time limit will be recorded as "DNS" (Did Not Start).
- competir solamente en la Ronda 1;
- competir solamente en la Ronda 2;
English
All events in this competition will have two Dual Rounds.
This means there is no elimination between Round 1 and Round 2. All competitors may compete in both rounds, regardless of their times or results in the first round.
Competitors may also:
- compete only in Round 1;
- compete only in Round 2;
- compete in both rounds.
It is not necessary to make any attempts in Round 1 in order to compete in Round 2.
For the final Dual Rounds result (podium definition), the best result achieved across the two rounds is used.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Regulation A1a2).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
Advancement Condition
The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
