P: ¿Cómo me registro?
R: En primer lugar tienes que asegurarte de que tengas creada una cuenta de la WCA. Si no es así, se puede hacer de manera muy sencilla haciendo click en Registrarse y creándote una. Una vez hecho esto, vete a la pestaña Registro y sigue los pasos correspondientes.

P: ¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de competidores?
R: Por favor, asegúrate de haber seguido todas las instruciones de la pestaña Registro. Una vez registrado pasaras a lista de espera uma vez cancelado la imscripcion de tu registro seras aprobado y apareceras en la lista de competidores hasta antes de eso no politica interna de la organizacion

P: ¿Puedo cambiar los eventos a los que me presento?
R: Sí, mientras el plazo de inscripción siga abierto. Contáctanos a través del correo de la organización y dinos qué categorías quieres cambiar. Si el registro ya se ha cerrado, por favor, no mandes ninguna petición de cambio de eventos. Si el dia de la competición decides no participar en alguna categoría simplemente ve a la mesa de mezclas cuando te toque competir y dile a uno de los Delegados que no te vas a presentar.

P: ¿Ya no puedo asistir, ¿qué debo hacer?
R: Lo primero que tienes que hacer es informarnos vía email tan pronto como lo sepas para que otro competidor pueda ocupar tu lugar. No podemos ofrecer reembolsos ya que pagar la tarifa de registro es un contrato de compromiso.

P: ¿Tengo que usar mis propios cubos para competir?
R: ¡Sí! Asegúrate de traer puzzles para todos los eventos en los que compitas y no los pierdas de vista.

P: ¿Cúando debo estar en el campeonato?
R: Recomendamos que te inscribas dentro de los plazos de inscripción que hay asignados en el horario. Si eres un nuevo competidor, te recomendamos encarecidamente que asistas al tutorial de competición que haremos el sábado a primera hora. Si no, está siempre al menos 15 minutos antes de que empiece la primera ronda en la que compitas.

P: ¿Debo estar durante todo el campeonato?
R: Sólo es necesario que estés cuando tengas que competir o hacer de juez/runner/mezclador. Se te dará un papel en el registro con todos tus horarios, fuera de ese horario eres libre de irte a disfrutar de la ciudad y la gastronomía.

P: ¿Donde miro los resultados y si paso a la siguiente ronda?
R: Los tiempos y clasificaciones de la competición se subirán a esta página unos días después de la competición y en directo en la web WCA Live

COVID-19

P: ¿Habrá un limite de asistentes a esta competencia?
R: Sí, para cumplir las leyes con respecto a las restricciones COVID, hay un limite de 2 invitados por competidor.

P: ¿Se proporcionará desinfectante de manos y mascarillas en la competencia?
R: Sí, al ingresar al lugar habrá una estación de higiene personal equipada con suministro de desinfectante de manos y mascarillas faciales.

P: ¿Tengo que usar una mascarilla?
R: Se recomienda que sí, de acuerdo a la política de seguridad de la WCA, para limitar la posible propagación del virus.

P: ¿Puedo traer mi propia mascarilla y/o desinfectante de manos?
R: Sí, se recomienda que traiga su propia mascarilla y desinfectante de manos.

P: ¿Habrá distanciamiento social durante la competencia?
R: Sí, se indicará a los asistentes que se mantengan separados por al menos 1m. También habrá un limite de un competidor y un juez por mesa a quienes se les indicará que se mantengan a 1m de distancia, a menos que las regulaciones exijan una proximidad mas cercana (por ejemplo, para que el juez levante el tapacubo para un intento). Los runners también deberan mantener el distanciamiento social a menos que se les requiera colocar un cubo en una estación de resolución. La competencia utilizará estaciones de resolución fijas, lo que significa que no se requerirá área de espera para los competidores.

Q: How do I register?
A: First you need to make sure you have created a WCA account. You can do this by going to the sign-up page and creating an account. Once you have created the account and confirmed your email address, go to the Register section and follow the instructions carefully.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?
A: Please make sure you have followed all the instructions on the Registration tab. Once registered you will go to the waiting list, soon you will be approved and you will appear in the list of competitors.

Q: Can I change the events I am registered for?
A: As long as registration is still open, yes you are allowed to change events. Email us with the events you would like to change. If registration is closed then please do not email us with event changes. If at the competition you decide that you do not want to compete in an event, come up to the scramble table when your group is called and simply tell one of the Delegates that you are not going to compete.

Q: I am no longer able to attend, what do I do?
A: The first thing you need to do is tell us as soon as you know via the contact link on the General Info page. Competitions generally fill up quite quickly and letting us know that you can't attend means we can add someone from the waiting list. We cannot offer refunds if you can no longer attend as paying the registration fee is a commitment contract.

Q: Do I use my own cubes to compete?
A: Yes! Make sure to bring cubes for all events you are competing in and look after them, you don't want them to go missing.

Q: When do I arrive at the competition?
A: We recommend you to register on the time frames dedicated to that regard, which you can find on the Schedule tab. If you are a new competitor, we highly recommend that you show up for the introduction to competing which is held as the first thing on Saturday. Otherwise, we recommend you turn up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Q: When can I leave the competition?
A: It's only necessary to stay when you have to compete or be a judge/runner/scrambler. You will be given a paper with all your schedules, outside of which you are free to go enjoy the city and the gastronomy. The groups will be published on the Groups tab too.

Q: How do I find results?
A: All the results will be found on this page a couple of days after the competition, once they have all been checked and uploaded. Also on the website  WCA Live

COVID-19 FAQ

Q: Will there be an attendee limit at this competition?
A: Yes, in order to comply with state laws regarding COVID restrictions, there is a limit of TWO guests per competitor.

Q: Will hand sanitiser and face masks be provided at the competition?
A: Yes. Upon entering the venue there will be a personal hygiene station equipt with a supply of hand sanitiser and face masks.

Q: Do I have to wear a face mask?
A: It is recommended, according to the WCA security policy, to limit the possible spread of the virus.

Q Can I bring my own face mask and/or hand sanitiser?
A: Yes, it is recommended that you bring your own face mask and hand sanitiser bottle.

Q: Will there be social distancing at the competition?
A: Yes. Attendees will be instructed to keep at least 1m (3ft) apart. There will also be a limit of one competitor and one judge per table who will be instructed to stay 1m apart, unless closer proximity is required by the regulations (e.g. for the judge to lift the cube cover for an attempt). Runners will also need to maintain social distancing unless required to place a cube on a solving station. The competition will use fixed solving stations meaning no competitor waiting area will be required.
