Information

Participants and Spectators under 18

  • Competitors and spectators under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Berkeley Cube Club and West Coast Cubing do not provide supervision and cannot assume responsibility for personal safety or belongings.

This competition is organized in partnership with West Coast Cubing and Speedcubeshop.

All additional donations and remaining profits from this competition will go towards supporting West Coast Cubing and the Cal Cube Club.

  • Registrants will be accepted in the order that they pay, not the order that they register. Please be patient with us as we manually accept all eligible competitors.
  • Competitors may bring a maximum of two guests.

Competition Day Timing
- The competition will begin at the scheduled start time.
- Lunch will end at the scheduled time.
- Events will begin as soon as the previous event is wrapping up. Exception: All First Round events will not start more than 20 minutes early.
- Competitors may not compete in an event if they miss last call for that event. In general, last call is a few minutes after the last group is called.

There is a competitor limit of 200 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $35 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 2 guests.
Competitors may register in at most 4 events.

UC Berkeley students can register for free! If you're a UC Berkeley student, please mention this in your registration comments and email anto@berkeley.edu with proof (a photo of your UC Berkeley student ID), and we will approve your registration without payment.

Payment:

  • Upon registering, you will receive an email with the subject "Registration Pending: Berkeley Favorites 2026". This does NOT mean that you are on the registration list. Competitors will not be approved until the payment has been made.
  • Please ensure you have paid the registration fees via Stripe on the "Register" page. Your registration is not complete and will not be processed until you have paid the registration fee. Contact the organizational team if you encounter an issue.

Waitlist:

  • Once the competitor limit has been reached, the waitlist will be opened.
  • You must pay the registration fee to be added to the waitlist.
  • New registrations will be added to a waitlist and sorted in the order of payment.
  • Waitlisted competitors will only be added to the competition if an existing competitor withdraws.
  • All competitors still on the waiting list after Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT will be removed and provided with a full refund.

Deleting Registration/Refunds:

  • If you can no longer make the competition, you may request a full refund!
  • To receive a full refund, you must contact the organizational team by Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM
  • Withdrawing enables us to maximize attendance and allows competitors on the waiting list to attend.

Changing events:

  • Competitors may add or remove events using the Register tab until Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM. It is also acceptable to not show up for any event you do not wish to compete in.

Important Staff Information:

  • We will be offering full registration fee reimbursement for staff members!
  • You MUST fill out the staff interest form to be on staff. For more information, see the Staffing tab. Note that filling out this form does NOT guarantee a spot on staff.
