We are looking forward to welcome you at the first competition in Delmenhorst and the third one in Lower Saxony!
This competition is participating in the official WCA Newcomer Month 2024. The registration process will reserve 35% of spots for new competitors. New competitors are considered to have no WCA ID or a WCA ID with 2024. Returning competitors are considered to have a WCA ID that is from 2023 or earlier. All competitors must still follow all registration requirements for their registration to be considered complete.
Registrations will be accepted based on the following:
* 35 spots (35% of spots) are initially reserved for new competitors.
* 65 spots (65% of spots) are initially available for returning competitors on a first come, first serve basis.
* If more than 35 new competitors register before 65 spots are filled by returning competitors, any additional new competitors will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis alongside returning competitors.
* If the 35 spots reserved for new competitors are not filled by new competitors two weeks prior to the competition, remaining spots, up to the competitor limit, will be accepted from registered returning competitors.Deutsch
Wir freuen uns euch auf der ersten Competition in Delmenhorst und der dritten in Niedersachsen begrüßen zu dürfen!
Dieser Wettbewerb ist Teil des offiziellen WCA Newcomer Month 2024. Bei der Anmeldung werden 35% der Plätze für neue Teilnehmer reserviert. Als neue Teilnehmer gelten Teilnehmer ohne WCA-ID oder mit einer WCA-ID aus dem Jahr 2024. Wiederkehrende Teilnehmer haben eine WCA-ID, die aus dem Jahr 2023 oder früher stammt. Alle Teilnehmer müssen weiterhin alle Registrierungsanforderungen erfüllen, damit ihre Registrierung als vollständig gilt.
Anmeldungen werden nach folgenden Kriterien angenommen:

* 65 Plätze (65% der Plätze) sind zunächst für wiederkehrende Teilnehmer nach dem Prinzip "Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst" verfügbar.
* Wenn sich mehr als 35 neue Teilnehmer anmelden, bevor die 65 Plätze von den wiederkehrenden Teilnehmern besetzt sind, werden alle weiteren neuen Teilnehmer nach dem Prinzip "Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst" zusammen mit den wiederkehrenden Teilnehmern zugelassen.
* Wenn die 35 für neue Teilnehmer reservierten Plätze zwei Wochen vor dem Wettbewerb nicht durch neue Teilnehmer besetzt sind, werden die verbleibenden Plätze bis zum Teilnehmerlimit den bereits registrierten wiederkehrenden Teilnehmern zugewiesen.

Informationen für Neulinge
Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:
Alle Neulinge sind dazu verpflichtet ein Ausweisdokument an der Anmeldung vor zu zeigen (Regulation 2e)). Aus dem Dokument müssen Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum hervorgehen.
Alle Neulinge sind eindringlich gebeten, am Tutorial teilzunehmen. Infos dazu werden per Mail vor dem Wettbewerb bekannt gemacht.
Jeder Teilnehmer sollte bereits vor der Meisterschaft mindestens einmal die offiziellen Regeln der WCA gelesen haben. Zusätzlich ist ein Blick in unsere Teilnehmer-Anleitung sowie das WCA Competition Tutorial mehr als ratsam für alle Neulinge!
Keine Angst: während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen zu stellen.
Bei wichtigen Fragen vor dem Turnier kannst du dich gerne an das Organisationsteam wenden.

Newcomer information
If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:
According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.
All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Tutorial. Infos regarding the tutorial will be sent out via mail before the competition.
Every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition! A more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial.
Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.
Feel free to contact the organizer if you have any uncertainties.

All results will be uploaded to the WCA database after the competition, and will be available right here!

Anreise: Die Venue kann sowohl mit dem Auto als auch dem ÖPNV sehr gut erreicht werden. Wer mit dem Auto nach Delmenhorst anreist, kann kostenlos auf den Graftwiesen parken (ca. 500m Entfernung zum Marktplatz). Alternativ kann auch im City-Parkhaus geparkt werden, was allerdings kostenpflichtig ist (ca. 200m Entfernung zum Marktplatz).
Der Bahnhof Delmenhorst wird von der Regionalbahn (NordWestBahn) und vom IC bzw. ICE angefahren. Der Fußweg zur Venue beträgt ca. 500m.
Unterkunft: Das City-Hotel ist die zentralste Unterkunft zur Venue. Im umliegenden Kreise befindet sich das Hotel-Restaurant Thomsen (ca. 3 km entfernt), die Pension zum Burggrafen (ca. 2 km entfernt), das Hotel Baldus (ca. 3,5 km entfernt) und das Hotel zur Riede, welches direkt an der A28 liegt (ca 3,5 km entfernt). Es gibt auch einige Unterkünfte auf AirBnB.

Arrival: The venue can be easily reached by car or public transport. Anyone travelling to Delmenhorst by car can park for free on the Graftwiesen (approx. 500m from the market square). Alternatively, you can also park in the city car park, although this is no free parking (approx. 200m away).
Delmenhorst train station is served by the regional train (NordWestBahn) and the IC and ICE. The walk to the venue is approx. 500m.
Accommodation: The City Hotel is the most central accommodation to the venue. In the surrounding area there is the Hotel-Restaurant Thomsen (approx. 3 km away), the Pension zum Burggrafen (approx. 2 km away), the Hotel Baldus (approx. 3.5 km away) and the Hotel zur Riede, which is directly on the A28 (approx. 3.5 km away). There are also some accommodations on AirBnB.

Am Samstag ist auf dem Marktplatz von 7:30 Uhr bis 13:00 Uhr der Wochenmarkt. Alternativ bekommt man Snacks und Getränke im Koopje Citymarkt von 7:30 Uhr bis 18:00 Uhr oder im Aldi Nord hinter dem Bahnhof von 7:00 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr. Wer lieber richtige Mahlzeiten zu sich nehmen möchte, kann in diversen umliegenden Restaurants und Imbissen fündig werden. Außerdem werden wir vor Ort kostenlose Getränke bereitstellen, ihr könnt natürlich auch euer eigenes Essen und Getränke mit in die Venue bringen.

On Saturday there is a weekly market on the market square from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Alternatively, you can get snacks and drinks at the Koopje Citymarkt from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or at Aldi Nord behind the train station from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. If you prefer to eat real meals, you can find what you're looking for in various surrounding restaurants and snack bars. We will provide beverages at the venue for free and of course, you can also bring your own food and drinks to the venue.
Additionally, supermarkets are closed on sundays!

Beginner Cubing Delmenhorst 2024 will be sponsored by Cuboss. Cuboss is an online cube store based in Sweden, specializing in speedcubes and other types of puzzles, with worldwide delivery available. Cuboss will provide gift cards wich will be awarded as outlined below.
Podium finishers in 3x3x3 as well as the 3 best finishing newcomers are awarded the following gift cards from Cuboss:
1st place: 25€
2nd place: 20€
3rd place: 15€
The 1st place finishers in all other events will be rewarded with a 15€ gift card.
In addition, 3 gift cards worth 15€ will be randomly drawn to new competitors before lunch on Sunday, where every newcomer has a chance to win one!
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
