This is the Virginia Quiet Championship, but anyone can compete regardless of their state of residence. See more information on the Championship Eligibility tab.

There is a competitor limit of 50 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules. In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition.

For All Competitors

When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you may also have judging/scrambling/running assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

Group assignments and Live Results will be posted at a later date.

This competition is being held in the Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV). See the regions on CubingUSA's website.

Virginia Quiet Championship 2025 is open to all competitors. However, the title of Virginia Champion in each event will be restricted to competitors from Virginia. In order to be eligible to win a title, you must log in to the CubingUSA website with your WCA account and select your home state by July 19th, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT. After the competition has ended, Virginia Champions may also be required to prove residency in order to claim their titles and any additional prizes associated thereof. Please see the regional title policy found here for more details on how this system works.

Parking

Please note that the parking lot beside the venue is fairly small. In the event that all the spots are taken, there is street parking throughout the neighborhood. Be sure to check the signs where you park! There is also or a paid lot located a few blocks away.

Venue Information

The venue has limited chairs. If the competition fills, then we will have just enough seating for the competitors and just a few guests. Therefore, if you plan to come as a guest, it is recommended to bring a folding campchair as possible.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
