Because of the coronavirus a number of different rules apply, such as keeping a distance of 1 meters (all ages). This also affects the course of the competition. On the website of Speedcubing Nederland you will read what this means for the participants and visitors.

Due to current circumstances regarding COVID-19, multiple precautions will be taken during the competition.

WCA Competition Safety Policy acts as the foundation for our preventive activities.

The following restrictions will be in effect:

• Everyone with symptoms of illness are required to stay at home.
• We will keep at least one meter distance between competitors at all times. To facilitate this, we will have fewer solving stations than the venue could otherwise manage, and keep distance as much as possible.
• Hand sanitizers will be available during the entire competition. We will wash and sanitize our hands often, as well as disinfect puzzles before each round.
• Competitors should not borrow puzzles from each other.
• Competitors must bring their own pens. Feel free to bring several, and don't borrow from each other.
• Competitors may bring their own cube cover.
• Competitors may disinfect the competing surface before their attempts.
• There will be one solving station per table.
• Competitors will solve using fixed seating for all their solves of a round.
• Judges will be seated at the short side of the table, at least 1 meter away from the competitor.
• Neither judges nor runners should come in contact with the puzzles. This means that competitors will be the ones putting the cube into the cover after the attempt, and the judge should not touch the puzzle unless necessary to determine whether or not the puzzle is solved.
• Judges should raise their hand to alert a runner, instead of raising the cube cover.

The current rules allow us to hold the competition as planned, and we are confident that the competition can be held.
However, the situation can change quickly. We therefore want everyone to be aware that the competition may be affected and/or cancelled with short notice, should the situation require it. In that case, information will be sent out via e-mail and there will be NO refund of travel and other costs.
