Para acceder al campus de la UPV es necesario ceder tu nombre, apellidos y DNI o NIE a la misma, así como el de todos tus acompañantes. Para ello, te pedimos que rellenes este formulario indicandonos tus datos así como los de todos tus acompañantes.

Tu registro NO será aprobado hasta que tengamos tus datos. Tus acompañantes NO podrán entrar a la competición si no tenemos sus nombres, apellidos y números de DNI o NIE.

• Estos datos serán compartidos con la Universitat Politècnica de València.
• Si tu número de acompañantes cambia, por favor informa inmediatamente al Equipo Organizador con los datos de tus nuevos acompañantes.

Nuevos competidores

Si es la primera vez que compites, es importante que te vayas familiarizando con el Reglamento de la WCA. Este Reglamento es algo extenso y contiene mucha información dentro, así que no te preocupes si no te acuerdas de todo. Por este motivo, aconsejamos que veas este videotutorial explicativo acerca de las reglas y procedimientos básicos que hay que saber para poder asistir como competidor. También haremos un pequeño tutorial tal y como marca el horario, al que te recomendamos que asistas.

Los nuevos competidores tendrán que llevar un documento de identidad que verifique el país de procedencia y fecha de nacimiento. Puede ser tanto el DNI, como el libro de familia, el carnet de conducir, etc. Sólo es necesario que aparezca tu nombre completo, fecha de nacimiento y nacionalidad.

Si tienes alguna pregunta, te recomendamos que consultes la pestaña de Preguntas frecuentes antes de consultarnos a nosotros, aunque estás más que bienvenido a ponerte en contacto con nosotros.

Información para todos los competidores

Por favor, ¡ayuda a hacer de juez! Siempre terminan siendo los mismos los que hacen de juez. ¡No es nada difícil hacerlo y ayudas a que la competición se agilice! En las acreditaciones que se os darán con la inscripción aparecen los grupos en los que estáis obligados a hacer de juez, pero también podéis hacer de jueces aunque no os toque. Si estás interesado en aprender a hacer de juez se hará un pequeño tutorial el sábado antes de empezar.

No hagáis fotos con flash. Esta norma se aplica a todo el recinto, ya que distrae mucho a los competidores.

Si eres un espectador, por favor no entres en la zona de competición y bajo ningún concepto estés a menos de metro y medio de una de las mesas de competición (Regla 7b).

Por favor, cuida el lugar, mantén la zona limpia y lo más ordenada posible.

Hay cientos de puzzles en estas competiciones, no dejes cubos en las mesas de mezclas o de competición. ¡Mantén tus puzzles juntos para que no los pierdas!

Durante las categorías a ciegas, hay que estar en completo silencio. Estas categorías requieren mucha concentración y cualquier pequeño ruido podría desconcentrar. Anunciaremos cuando tiene que empezar el silencio y cuando se puede volver a hablar.

New Competitors

If you are a new competitor, it is important that you are familiar with the WCA Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a videotutorial that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending. We will also be holding an introduction to competing as per the schedule which we recommend you attend as well.

New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the country they wish to compete for and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, then it will be fine.

If you have any questions, we recommend that you check the FAQ tab in case it has been asked before. But you are more than welcome to contact us.

Information for All Competitors

Please help judge! We rely very heavily on regular competitors to make the competition run to schedule. It is not very difficult to do and you help to do the competition faster! If you'd like to learn the procedure then we will explain it in a tutorial the saturday before starting.

No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.

If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b.

Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins or black bin bags and keep your area tidy.

There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them!

During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence must begin and when you may talk within the venue again.

Información para Nuevos Competidores

¿Cómo me registro?

Para registrarte en la competición, primero debes tener una cuenta WCA. Si no la tienes, puedes crearte una aquí. Ten en cuenta que los datos de la cuenta deben ser de la persona que vaya a competir, NO de sus tutores legales, incluso si es menor de edad. Una vez crees tu cuenta, recibirás un correo electrónico en la dirección que has utilizado para crearla. Sigue las instrucciones que aparecen en él y tu cuenta estará creada.

Si ya tienes una cuenta WCA, inicia sesión y ve a la pestaña Registrarse de este open. Allí deberás seguir las instrucciones que se muestren y pagar la cuota de inscripción. Es muy importante que pagues la cuota de inscripción ya que, si no lo haces, no podremos aceptar tu registro. El pago debe hacerse con una tarjeta bancaria y se gestiona de forma segura a través de la plataforma Stripe, de manera que a nosotros no nos llega la información de tu tarjeta. Si eres menor de edad, pídele ayuda a tus padres o tutores legales para registrarte.

Reglamento de la WCA

Todas las competiciones de speedcubing de la WCA siguen el Reglamento de la WCA. Os recomendamos que lo leáis, pero entendemos que es algo extenso y contiene mucha información, ¡así que no os preocupéis si no os acordáis de todo! Si lo preferís, podéis ver este vídeo explicativo acerca de las normas y procedimientos básicos que hay que saber para poder asistir como competidor.

¿Qué tengo que traer a la competición?

Como es tu primera competición, debes traer un documento donde aparezca tu nombre, fecha de nacimiento y país de procedencia. Puede ser el DNI, Libro de Familia, Carnet de Conducir, Pasaporte o algo similar. Muy importante: necesitamos un documento identificativo del competidor, NO de sus tutores legales.

Además, ¡recuerda que debes traer tus propios cubos para poder competir! El equipo organizador no proporcionará cubos o puzzles a los competidores. Ten en cuenta que hay cientos o miles de cubos en una competición, así que ten bien vigilados los tuyos y no los abandones en zonas de competición. ¡Tú eres responsable de tus propios cubos, no los pierdas! (El equipo organizador no se hace responsable de pérdidas de material no perteneciente a la Asociación Española de Speedcubing).

¿Qué tengo que hacer cuando llegue?

Cuando llegues a la competición, lo primero que tienes que hacer es ir a la mesa de registro. Allí te daremos tu acreditación, donde aparecerá en qué grupos te tocará competir o hacer alguna tarea, como juez, runner o mezclador. Después, es muy importante que asistas al Tutorial para Nuevos Competidores para que aprendas a ser juez y cómo funcionará la competición. Puedes ver cuándo se hará el tutorial en el horario.

Information for New Competitors

How do I register?

R: In order to register for this competition, you first need a WCA account. If you don't have one, you can create one here. Take into account that the personal information of the account must be of the person who will compete, NOT of their legal tutors, even if the competitor is underage. Once your account is created, you will receive an e-mail in the address you provided when creating the account.

If you already have a WCA account, log in and go to the Register tab of this competiton. Once there please follow the instructions given and pay the inscription fee. It’s very important that you pay the inscription fee, since we won’t be able to accept your registration until the payment is completed. Payment must be made with a credit card and it is handled securely through the platform Stripe. This way neither we nor the WCA site receive your card’s information. If you are a kid or a teenager, please ask for help to your parents or legal guardian to pay the fee.

WCA Regulations

Every WCA speedcubing competition follows the WCA Regulations. We recommend you to read it, but we understand that it is quite long and has tons of information, so don’t worry if you don’t remember everything!. If you prefer it, you can watch this vídeo that covers the most important regulations and procedures you need to know in order to compete.

What do I need to bring to the competition?

Since it’s your first competition, you need to bring a legal document where your name, date of birth and country of origin appear. It can be an Identity Card, Driver’s License, Passport or similar. It’s very important that this document is of the competitor, NOT of their parents or legal guardians.

Besides, remember that you must bring your own cubes to compete with! The organization team won’t hand out cubes or puzzles to the competitors. Please consider that there are hundreds or even thousands of cubes in a competition, so keep your cubes watched over and don’t leave them at tables or chairs. You are responsible for your own cubes, don’t lose them! (The organizing team is not responsible for losses of material that does not belong to the Spanish Speedcubing Association).

What should I do when I arrive?

Once you arrive to the competition’s venue, you should go to the registration table first. There we will hand you your competitor card, where you can check in which groups you compete or have to do some task such as be a judge, runner or scrambler. After this, it’s very important that you attend the Tutorial for New Competitors so that you learn how to judge and how the competition will develop. You can see when the tutorial will be held in the schedule.

Por favor, ten en cuenta lo siguiente una vez estés en la competición:

• De acuerdo a la Regla 7b, los espectadores deben mantenerse a más de 1,5 metros de las mesas de competición. Esto es para evitar que los competidores se distraigan. Las competiciones suelen tener una zona designada para el público, en la que podéis estar sin problemas.
• Podéis hacer fotos y grabar todo lo que queráis, pero es importante que las fotos las hagáis sin flash para evitar distraer o deslumbrar a los competidores.
• Por favor, poned los teléfonos móviles en silencio y hablad a un volumen moderado.
• Intentad que el lugar de la competición esté limpio y ordenado. El equipo organizador informará si se puede comer o beber en el recinto de la competición. No tiréis basura al suelo, usad las papeleras.

Además, aunque no participéis en la competición, podéis ayudar a que se lleve a cabo de forma fluida haciendo tareas como ser jueces o runners. En el horario podéis consultar cuándo se realiza el Tutorial para Nuevos Competidores, en el que enseñamos cómo hacer de juez y runner. Si tenéis interés en ayudar en la competición, podéis asistir a este tutorial. Si os lo perdéis pero aún así queréis ayudar, podéis dirigiros a un organizador para que os indique cómo podéis hacerlo. ¡Agradecemos toda la ayuda que nos podáis prestar!

Information for Spectators

Your personal information will be shared with the Universitat Politècnica de València.

Please, take the following into account once you're inside the venue:

• According to Regulation 7b, spectators must be at least 1.5 meters away from the solving stations. This is to avoid distracting the competitors. Competitions usually have a designated area for spectators, where you can hang out freely.
• You can take photos and record freely, but it is important that you deactivate flash when doing so in order to avoid distracting the competitors.
• Please put your phones on silent mode and speak at a moderate volume.
• Keep the place clean and tidy. The organization team will tell you if you can eat or drink in the venue. Don’t litter, use the trashcans.

Furthermore, even if you don’t participate in the competition, you can help out by being a judge or runner. In the schedule you can consult when the Tutorial for New Competitors is held, where we teach how to be a judge and a runner. If you are interested in helping out, you should attend this tutorial. If you miss but still want to help, please reach an organizer so that they can assist you. We are grateful for every help you can grant us!

P: ¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de competidores?

R: Puedes ver la lista de competidores en la pestaña Competidores. Si no apareces, puede deberse a alguna de estas causas:
* No te has registrado para esta competición.
* No has pagado la cuota de inscripción y, por tanto, no podemos aceptar tu registro. Para pagarla, ve a la pestaña Registrarse.
* No has hecho clic en el botón "¡Regístrate!" de la pestaña Registrarse
* No has seleccionado ninguna categoría en la que participar en la pestaña Registrarse. Ve a dicha pestaña, selecciona una o más y haz clic en "Actualizar Registro".
* No has seguido los requisitos de registro para la competición, que aparecen al principio de la pestaña Registrarse. Ve a dicha pestaña y asegúrate de que lo has hecho todo correctamente.
* Se ha llegado al límite de competidores y tu registro ha sido colocado en la Lista de Espera.
Si crees haber hecho todo correctamente y aun así no apareces, ten paciencia. Los registros se aprueban de manera manual y los organizadores no estamos disponibles en todo momento. Si tu registro no se ha aceptado pasados dos días, contacta con nosotros utilizando la información de contacto de la pestaña Información General.

P: ¡En la página web pone que tengo un descuento! ¿Cómo lo pido?

R: A no ser que en la pestaña Registrarse hayamos indicado que tienes que hacer un paso extra para tener el descuento, ¡ya sabemos que tienes un descuento! Por cómo funciona la aplicación de registro, al principio tendrás que pagar el precio completo de la inscripción. Después de la competición recibirás un reembolso acorde al descuento en la tarjeta que utilizaste para pagar la inscripción. Ten en cuenta que solo los competidores que asistan a la competición recibirán el reembolso.

P: ¿Puedo cambiar las categorías a las que me presento?

R: Sí, puedes cambiarlas en la pestaña Registrarse hasta el 22 de marzo a las 23:59 (hora española peninsular). Asegúrate de hacer clic en el botón "Actualizar Registro".

P: Ya no puedo asistir, ¿qué debo hacer?

R: Lo primero que tienes que hacer es eliminar tu registro. Para ello, pulsa el botón rojo "Eliminar" de la pestaña Registrarse. En caso de que dicho botón no aparezca, deberás informar al equipo organizador. Puedes encontrar su información de contacto en la pestaña Información General. Cuando les contactes, darán de baja tu registro y gestionarán el reembolso de parte de tu cuota de registro, si procede. Puedes ver el porcentaje de la cuota que se te reembolsará en la pestaña Información General.

P: ¡Las inscripciones se han cerrado y me he quedado en la lista de espera! ¿Vais a devolverme el dinero?

R: Sí. Si finalmente no has podido participar en la competición porque te has quedado en lista de espera, te devolveremos el dinero poco después de terminar la competición.

P: ¿Cómo de veloz tengo que ser para poder competir?

R: ¡Si sabes hacer el cubo 3x3x3, seguramente ya seas lo suficientemente veloz para poder competir! Además, la mayoría de la gente va a las competiciones para conocer a personas con las que comparten esta afición sin darle mucha importancia a su posición o, sencillamente, a tratar de mejorar sus propios tiempos personales. ¡Todo el mundo es apto para competir y pasarlo bien!
A pesar de esto, si vas a competir en categorías largas o complicadas como cubos grandes (Cubo 4x4x4 o mayores), Megaminx, Square-1 o A Ciegas, recomendamos que vayas a la pestaña Categorías para informarte de los tiempos límite de cada ronda.

P: ¿Hay categorías para diferentes edades?

R: No, todos los competidores participan en las mismas condiciones y participantes de todas las edades son bienvenidos. La mayoría de la gente suele tener entre 10 y 20 años, pero también hay gente más joven y más mayor.

P: ¿Tengo que usar mis propios cubos para competir?

R: ¡SÍ! Asegúrate de traer puzzles para todas las categorías en las que compitas y no los pierdas de vista. La organización NO proporcionará puzzles a los competidores. Para más información, consulta la Regla 3a.

P: ¿Puedo ir a ver la competición sin participar?

R: Sí. Además, ¡la entrada es completamente gratuita para los espectadores! Echa un vistazo al horario de la competición para que puedas venir a ver las categorías que más te interesen o enterarte de cuándo son las finales.

P: ¿Puedo ayudar en la competición aunque esté de público?

R: ¡Sí! Siempre agradecemos que haya voluntarios para hacer de juez o runner. Si no sabes muy bien cómo puedes ayudar pero quieres echar una mano, habla con alguien del equipo organizador el día de la competición para que te indiquemos.

P: ¿Cuándo debo estar en la competición?

R: Recomendamos que vengas durante los periodos de registro que hay asignados en el horario. Durante ese periodo podrás recoger tu acreditación y los regalos que daremos junto a la inscripción, de haberlos. Si es la primera vez que compites, deberás asistir al Tutorial para Nuevos Competidores que haremos el primer día a primera hora. Si no, procura estar en el lugar de la competición siempre al menos 15 minutos antes de que empiece la primera ronda en la que compitas y siempre que se te necesite para hacer alguna tarea. Las tareas para las que te necesitaremos estarán marcadas en tu acreditación.

P: ¿Qué debo hacer cuando llegue?

R: Si eres un nuevo competidor, no te pierdas el Tutorial para Nuevos Competidores, por favor. Podrás recoger tu acreditación más adelante. Si no, lo primero que hay que hacer es ir a la mesa de registro para que te podamos dar los regalos de inscripción y la acreditación.

P: ¿Debo estar durante toda la competición

R: No, sólo es necesario que estés cuando tengas que competir o hacer alguna tarea (juez/runner/mezclar).

P: ¿Dónde miro los resultados y si paso a la siguiente ronda?

R: Los tiempos y clasificaciones de la competición se subirán a esta misma página unos días después de la competición. Los resultados en directo los encontrarás en WCA Live. Simplemente entra en el link y busca esta competición en la lista.

P: ¿Cómo me vais a contactar si surge algún imprevisto?

R: Te enviaremos toda la información relacionada con la competición al correo electrónico asociado con tu cuenta WCA. ¡Asegúrate de revisarlo con frecuencia!

Q: Why am I not in the competitor list?

A: You can consult the competitor list in the Competitors page. If you do not appear there, the cause may be one of the following reasons:
* You didn’t register to this competition.
* You didn’t pay the inscription fee. We can’t accept your registration until you paid the registration fee. To pay it, please go to the Register page.
* You didn’t click the "Register!" button in the Register page.
* You didn’t select any event to participate in the Register page. Go to said page, select at least one event and click on "Update Registration".
* You didn’t follow the registration requisites for this competition that appear at the beginning of the Register page. Go to said page and check you did everything correctly.
* The competitor limit for this competition has been reached and your registration has been placed on the Waiting List.

If you think you did everything correctly but still don’t appear, please be patient. Registrations are approved manually and the organization team isn’t available at all times. If your registration hasn’t been approved after two days, please contact the organization team. You can find their contact information on the General Info tab.

Q: The webpage says I am eligible for a discount! How can I request it?

A: Unless stated otherwise in the Register tab, we already know you have a discount! Because of how the registration app works, we need you to pay the full price of the registration. Once the competition is over, you will be refunded the correspondent amount in the card you used to pay the registration fee. Beware that only competitors who attend the competition will be eligible for the refund.

Q: Can I change the events in which I compete?

A: Yes, you can change them in the Register page until March 23, 23:59 (GMT+1). Please make sure you click the "Update Registration" button.

Q: I can no longer attend the competition, what should I do?

A: First of all you should delete your registration. To do so, click the "Delete" red button on the Register page. If this button does not appear, you must inform the organization team. You can find their contact information on the General Info tab. Once you have reached them, they will delete your registration and manage the reimbursement of part of your registration fee. You can check how much you will be reimbursed on the Refunds tab.

Q: Registration has closed and I've been left in the waiting list! Are you going to refund my registration fee?

A: Yes. If you finally couldn't participate in the competition because you didn't get a spot, you will be refunded your registration fee shortly after the competition ends.

Q: How fast should I be in order to compete?

A: If you know how to solve the 3x3x3 Cube you probably are already fast enough to compete, even if you don’t believe it! Besides, the majority of the people who come to competitions don’t give much attention to winning. Some just want to meet other cubers while others just care about beating their personal bests. Everybody is welcome to compete and have fun!
In spite of this, if you are planning on competing in long or complicated events such as big cubes (4x4x4 or larger), Megaminx, Square-1 or Blindfolded, we recommend that you check the Events tab to see the cutoffs and time limits for each round.

Q: Are there categories for different ages?

A: No, everybody competes in the same conditions regardless of their age. Competitors of all ages are welcome! The majority of the competitors are between 10 and 20 years old, but there are also younger and older competitors.

Q: Do I need to use my own cubes to compete?

A: YES! Please make sure to bring puzzles for every event you are competing in and keep an eye on them. The organization team WON’T give puzzles to competitors. For more information refer to the Regulation 3a.

Q: Can I go watch the competition if I don't participate?

A: Yes, the entry is completely free for spectators! Check the competition’s schedule to see when the events you’re most interested in take place or when the finals will be held.

Q: Can I help out in the competition if I’m spectating?

A: Yes! We are always grateful when people volunteer to be judges and runners. If you are unsure about how you can help out, please reach someone from the organization team the day of the competition so that they can assist you.

Q: When should I be in the competition’s venue?

A: We recommend that you come during the registration periods that appear in the schedule. During this period you can get your competitor card and the presents we’ll give with the registration, if there are any. If it’s your first time competing, we highly recommend you attend the Tutorial for New Competitors that will be held first thing in the morning on the first day of the competition. If it’s not your first time, please be always in the venue at least 15 minutes before the first round of an event you compete in and always that you are needed for judging, running, scrambling or scoretaking. The tasks you have to do will appear on your competitor card.

Q: What should I do when I arrive?

A: If it’s your first time competing, please don’t miss the Tutorial for New Competitors. You will be able to get your competitor card later. If it’s not your first time, go to the registration table to get your competitor card and the registration gifts.

Q: Do I need to be in the venue at all times?

A: No, you only need to be in the venue when you have to compete or do some task such as be judge, runner or scrambler.

Q: Where can I see the competition results and if I have qualified to compete in the next round?

A: The times and rankings of the competition will be uploaded to this page a couple of days after the competition finishes. The live results can be found in WCA Live. Click on the link and look for this competition in the list.

Q: How will you contact me if something unexpected happens?

A: We will send you all the information related to the competition to the e-mail address linked to your WCA account. Make sure to check it regularly!

Q: I have a question that doesn’t appear here!

¿Qué es?

La Asociación Española de Speedcubing (AES) es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro destinada a organizar, colaborar y difundir los eventos y actividades relacionadas con el mundo del speedcubing en España. Estas actividades se centran en:

• Colaboración en competiciones oficiales.
• Realización anual del Campeonato de España.
• Organización del Campeonato Interescolar.
• Creación de eventos online.
• Conectar a las personas, manteniendo una comunidad sana.

Servicios

• Material: Aportamos cronómetros, tapacubos, y todo el material necesario para organizar un evento de speedcubing de calidad.
• Difusión: Promovemos y damos difusión a los eventos y al speedcubing en general.
• Respaldo: Ayudamos a los organizadores y a la comunidad cubera mediante el respaldo de una entidad jurídica.

Desde el aeropuerto de Valencia

• En taxi o coche: son unos 14 km por la A-3.

• En metro: en el propio aeropuerto hay una parada de metro. Para llegar a la UPV
  debes coger la línea 3 (dirección Rafelbunyol) y hacer transbordo al tranvía en la
  parada de Benimaclet a la línea 4 (dirección Doctor Lluch) hasta la parada de La
  Carrasca.

Transporte público colectivo

Metro y tranvía: las líneas 4 y 6 de Metrovalencia tienen paradas en la UPV. La más cercana a la
casa del alumno es La Carrasca.

Autobús: Hay varias paradas a lo largo del campus. La más
próxima a la Casa del Alumno es Tarongers – Ramon Llull, de las líneas 96 y 98.

En coche

La UPV está bien conectada con las principales vías de Valencia. Se puede llegar fácilmente
por la V-21 o la A-3.

Cuenta con aparcamientos interiores, pero suelen estar reservados para personal y
estudiantes. Existen varios parkings públicos y zonas de aparcamiento alrededores de la
universidad. Otra opción es dejar el coche en algún parking de larga estancia independiente
de que esté cerca de la Casa del Alumno y combinar con metro o bus hasta la universidad.

From Valencia Airport

• By taxi or car: It's about 14 km via the A-3.

• By metro: There's a metro station right at the airport. To get to the UPV, take line 3 (towards Rafelbunyol) and transfer to tram line 4 (towards Doctor Lluch) at the Benimaclet stop, getting off at the La Carrasca stop.

Public Transport

Metro: Metrovalencia lines 4 and 6 stop at the UPV. The closest stop to the student residence is La Carrasca.

By Car

The UPV is well connected to Valencia's main roads. It can be easily reached via the V-21 or the A-3.

It has on-site parking, but it is usually reserved for staff and students. There are several public parking lots and parking areas around the university. Another option is to leave your car in a long-stay parking garage, regardless of its proximity to the Student Center, and then take the metro or bus to the university.
