All Competitors

  • Please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early for the events you are competing in to ensure that you are on time - if we get ahead of schedule, we will stay ahead of schedule.
  • Be sure to read through the most recent version of the WCA Regulations, which took effect on April 1st, 2026. If you have any questions about the regulations, you can always reach out via the "Contact Organization Team" link on the General Info tab.
  • If you make it to the next round of an event but have to leave early, please let us know before you leave so we can accept another competitor in your place.
  • Your Delegates for this competition are: Carter Bitz, Nancy Hartman, and Nathan Graves. Ask them if you have any questions throughout the day!
  • To keep the competition running on time and to ensure we can keep all events, we will be requiring competitors to also judge. Pay attention to your group assignments - if you are in the first group of an event you will then judge the second group, if in the second group you will judge the third group and so on - if you are in the last group you will judge the first group. This is essential to keep the competition on schedule. We also invite any parents or guests to also help judge - thank you for your support. If you have not judged before but want to help, please plan to attend the tutorial at 8:45am.

New Competitors

  • You will need to arrive on time to attend the New Competitor Tutorial at 8:45am. You can also watch Kit Clement's WCA Competitor Tutorial Video for a preview.
  • In each event we will have rounds, and the top competitors will advance to the subsequent round according to the advancement condition listed on the Events tab. After a round is completed it will be entered into WCA Live. Your name will be highlighted if you are advancing to the next round.
  • Each round will be divided into groups to help them run more efficiently. We will call the groups in order with a last call at the beginning the last group. Please bring your puzzle up when your group is called - if you miss your group, you may not be allowed to compete in that event.
