How do I register

  • You need to pay in advance the registration fee in order to complete your registration. No registrations will be accepted without payouts.
  1. Register for the competition here
  2. After registration you'll be able to see the button to pay the CHF20 registration fee;
  3. Remember to check your email address: an email containing more details about the competition will be sent in the week before the event.

Note: The registration procedure is completed only after you have paid the registration fee.

Number of participants
There is a limit of 90 competitors. If the limit is reached, there will be a waiting list.

When can I register
Registration will open on September 1st at 20:00 (GMT+2) and close on October 20th at 20:00 (GMT+2).

How much does it cost
The registration fee for this competition is:

  • CHF20 (Swiss Francs) for Cubing Italy Cubing Italy Members (note: this membership is free, see more below).
  • CHF30 (Swiss Francs) for Cubing Italy non-members (note: non-members will have to pay CHF20 online plus CHF10 on site if they decide not to become Member).

How can I become a Member?
Becoming a Cubing Italy Member is free and does not imply any obligation towards the association.
Membership is valid until you request cancellation.

You can become a member by filling out this form on the Cubing Italy website.
For children under the age of 16 a parent's authorization is required. If you are under 16 years old, fill in the form with your data and send it anyway.
You will be asked to fill the form at your first competition.

Can I get a refund?
If your registration is cancelled before 20:00 (GMT+2) of October 20th you will be refunded a 100% of your registration fee. If you wish to cancel your registration, press "delete" here.

Are spectators allowed?
Spectators are allowed to access the venue for free.

There are free parking in front of the venue.

By train and bus:
- From the station Mendrisio, take bus 523 and get off at the "Genestrerio Piazza", which is close to competition (2 minutes walk).

The competition is officially recognized by the World Cube Association, therefore competitors are required to know the WCA Regulations.
All the competitors must be available to help during the competition. This means that if required, they'll have to act as judges or scramblers.
During the competition competitors will be divided into groups.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
