The first WCA competition in the Bahamas!
This competition will serve as the 2026 Bahamas National Championship. The fastest Bahamian competitor in the 3x3 event will be crowned the National Champion of the Bahamas.
This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. The competition is open to all competitors of all ages and nationalities. Registration is available on the WCA website. No experience in WCA competitions is necessary, but competitors should familiarize themselves with the WCA Regulations.

There is a competitor limit of 30 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $20 (Bahamian Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 95% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of $20 (Bahamian Dollar).
Any spectator can attend for free.

✈️ Getting to the Bahamas
- Main Airport: Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, New Providence.
- Direct Flights: Available from many U.S. cities via American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, United, and Bahamasair.
Entry Requirements:
- U.S. Citizens: Valid passport required (no visa needed for stays under 90 days).
- International Travelers: Please check Bahamas Immigration for visa requirements.
🌤️ January Weather in Nassau
- Average Temps: Highs in the upper 70s°F (25°C), lows in the mid-60s°F (18°C).
- Humidity: Much lower than summer—pleasant and breezy.
- Rain: Minimal rainfall—January is part of the dry season.

- Lightweight clothing, a light jacket or sweater for evenings, sun protection, and swimwear.

- Taxis: Readily available and priced by zone (confirm fare before riding).
- Jitneys: Local minibuses (cash only, daytime hours only).
- Car Rentals: Available but note they drive on the left side of the road.
- Walking: Ideal for nearby attractions and beaches, depending on your lodging.

We believe learning to solve the Rubik’s Cube builds focus, confidence, and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime.
We are offering free cube classes and workshops for students across the Nassau area from January 13–15, 2025.

Join us at the University of the Bahamas on Tuesday, January 15 for a special Rubik’s Cube Seminar, open to educators, students, and community leaders.
Topics will include:
- Teaching problem-solving through cubing
- Speedcubing as enrichment
- Community building through puzzle play

For each event, competitors are called to compete one group at a time. To facilitate this, all competitors will be assigned to a specific group for each event. Judging, running, and scrambling assignments for helping out at the competition are also listed for each competitor.
The competitor cards will also be available on a lanyard for each competitor at registration the morning of the competition. All competitors will be required to wear their lanyards throughout the day of the competition.
Group assignments will be announced closer to the competition date.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
