There is a 125 competitor limit for Tea Time Spring 2018, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is $25, must be paid online via Stripe, and is nonrefundable after May 20th, 8PM local time. Spectators come in for free. There is no at-the-door registration. Registration is not final until payment is complete and your name appears on the competitor list.

The deadline to register is May 20th, at 8PM local time. Any changes in events will be honored before this time. Also, if you find that you are not able to attend, you are eligible for a full refund of your fee if you let us know by this time.

If we reach the competitor limit, we will keep a waitlist. We may close the waitlist if it grows very large. You must pay the registration fee to earn a spot on the waitlist. If you do not make it to the competitor list before the deadline, your registration fee will be refunded in full.

The competitor limit for this competition has been reached.

You can still register for the waitlist by registering and paying the registration fee normally. We will send you an email if you make it to the competitor list. If you feel that your fee should be waived for any reason, let us know when we accept your registration and you will be refunded. You are not considered on the waitlist until the payment is made.

If you are on the registration list and find that you cannot make it, please let us know! We will refund your registration fee and let another competitor onto the list. We want to allow as many people to compete as we possibly can.

The deadline for this is May 20th, 2018 at 8:00 PM EDT, when registration closes. No refunds will be given to registered competitors past this point.

On May 20th, 2018 at 8:00 PM EDT, if you are still on the waitlist and you have paid, your registration fee will be refunded. So, you will not lose your fee if you never make it to the competitors' list.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST READ THIS TAB BEFORE REGISTERING.

If you are a first time competitor, please read this section carefully. If you are a returning competitor, please skip to the next section.

NEWCOMERS:

There are multiple things a first-timer must know before competing. All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. There is a video here for the basic overview of the rules.

In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition. Huge thanks to Olivér Perge and Niki Placskó for the document!

ALL COMPETITORS:

Please read this section carefully. Changes in organization have been made modeled off of Hungarian competitions in Europe. When you arrive, you will receive a lanyard with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have staff assignments on your lanyard. Every competitor is expected to help out this competition. The card will look somewhat like the following:

Legend:
* S - scrambling
* R - running
* J - judging

Please note that everyone is expected to help only during the events they are registered for, and everyone need only help for one group per event. If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
