For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules.

For All Competitors

When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.

How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $30. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.

The competitor limit for this competition is 40. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 40 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.

Any requested changes to registration before Sunday, July 5th, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.

How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."

Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Sunday, July 5th, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 50% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.

Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Sunday, July 5th, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.

FAQ
Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.

Do I need to bring my own cube to compete?
Yes, cubes/puzzles will not be provided. Competitors are expected to bring their own cubes/puzzles to compete with. Regulations for cubes/puzzles are outlined here.

Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 40 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.

How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.

Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.

Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.

This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.

I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.

When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.

Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live (link found in Live Results tab). These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

Entrance
The main entrance to the venue will be downstairs. Head through the revolving doors, take the stairs at the left of the main entrance, and go straight ahead to the glass doors. Signs will be posted for assistance.

Parking
Onsite parking will be available to all competitors. The parking site will be through the electronic gate. If you are unable to park onsite if it is full, street parking will be free nearby.

Food
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well.
