Information

Participants have to bring their own cube for the event.
Check out all the other Tabs for more detailed information.

Make sure you will be available at the venue at least 30 minutes before your event starts. You won't be allowed to participate in an event under any circumstances if you reach late.

If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time or not aware of competition rules, make sure that you attend the tutorial session.
If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time, please bring your goverment ID card for verification.
All the participants are requested to volunteer in the competition and every participant (except newcomers) will be assigned to a particular event they have to either judge, scramble, etc for the group/event!

The base registration fee for this competition is ₹1,000 (Indian Rupee).

For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org/ to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

In the 3x3 Dual Rounds Format, two separate 3x3 Rounds will be conducted for the participants to have an opportunity to improve their average.

There will be no elimination after Round 1.
It is not compulsory to participate in both rounds.
If the participant is satisfied with the 1st round's average, they may or may not choose to appear in the 2nd round.
They may skip the 1st round and only appear in the 2nd round.
If they participate in only 1 round, the average from that round will be considered.
If they appear for both the rounds, the better average of the two rounds will be considered.
After the two rounds, a final ranking will be made, taking into account the better average.
The solves from both the rounds will be separate and one round's average won't be combined in any case with the other round's average.
A poor average or DNF in Round 1 will not stop the participant to appear in Round 2.
Participants are advised to arrive timely and check group details and timings carefully for whichever round they wish to appear in.

Example :
Round 1 Average : 15.77 seconds
Round 2 Average : 13.24 seconds

Final Counting Result : 13.24 seconds

The purpose of Dual Rounds Format is to give participants greater flexibility and an additional opportunity to improve their average.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Advancement Condition

The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
