Important Information for Participants:

Location: The competition will take place at the main school hall.

Arrival Time: Please ensure that you arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before your event starts. Latecomers will not be permitted to participate.

Volunteering: All participants are kindly requested to volunteer during the competition.

First-Time Participants: If this is your first time participating in a WCA competition or if you're unfamiliar with the competition rules, we strongly recommend reviewing the WCA regulations beforehand.

ID Requirement: First-time participants are required to bring a scanned copy of their ID card. Please ensure you have this with you.

Cube Requirement: Participants must bring their own cubes. If you have difficulty bringing puzzles, please contact us in advance so that we can make arrangements for you.

International Participants: If you are a citizen from outside India, please submit both a physical and photo copy of your ID.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₹615 (Indian Rupee).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .

No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 25 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, you can check it in WCA Live.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

Directions to arrive at the campus by Air and Taxi:

  • Cochin (Kochi) International Airport (COK) at Nedumbassery is situated about 25 kilometres northeast of Kakkanad. One can ask for a pre-paid taxi or book an app-based cab service to reach Sanskara School, Kakkanad. The taxi ride takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.

Directions to arrive at the campus from the North (by Train/Bus):

  • By Train: Aluva Railway Station (AWY) is the closest major railway station, situated about 15 kilometres north of Kakkanad. After disembarking, you can hire a taxi, auto-rickshaw, or board a bus heading towards Kakkanad via Civil Station. The taxi ride takes around 30–40 minutes.

  • By Bus: From the Ernakulam North (Kaloor) Bus Stand, board a bus going towards Kakkanad via Padamugal or Civil Station. Buses are frequent and take about 45 minutes to reach Kakkanad depending on traffic.

Directions to arrive at the campus from the South (by Train/Bus):

  • By Train: Ernakulam Junction (South Station, ERS) is about 12 kilometres south of Kakkanad. After disembarking, one can take a taxi, app-based cab, or bus via Vyttila or Civil Station. The ride takes approximately 30–45 minutes.

  • By Bus: From the Ernakulam KSRTC or Vyttila Mobility Hub, board a bus towards Kakkanad. Buses are available via the Civil Station route and typically take around 40–50 minutes to reach the area.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
