BY REGISTERING, YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO FOLLOW THE POLICIES BELOW:

This competition will be held in accordance with the WCA Competition Safety Policy.

All attendees (competitors + guests) must show valid proof of one of the following requirements to be allowed into the competition:

1) They are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To clarify, an individual is only considered fully vaccinated if they have received their second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) or their only dose of a single-dose vaccine (J&J) more than two weeks before the competition. Any dose received after Saturday, March 26th, 2022 is insufficient for entrance to the competition. Valid proof includes a CDC vaccination card or a digital image of your CDC card.
OR
2) They tested negative for COVID-19 with a PCR test within 96 hours (4 days) of the competition. The date when the test is conducted is what matters, not the date when the results are received. Any test conducted earlier than Tuesday, April 5th is insufficient for entrance to the competition. Valid proof includes a printout of test results or a digital image of test results.
OR
3) They tested negative for COVID-19 with a rapid antigen home test within 24 hours of the competition. Valid proof includes a photo of test results taken within 24 hours of the competition, along with instruction sheet on how to read results.

OTHER COVID-19 RELATED RULES:
1. Competitors will only be allowed one guest.
2. Masks are optional.
3. If you have symptoms related to COVID-19 (as determined by the World Health Organization) such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc. you should NOT attend this competition.
4. If you have had a positive COVID-19 test or prolonged exposure to someone with the virus within 14 days prior to the competition, you should NOT attend.

These policies are subject to be made more or less strict depending on the COVID-19 situation closer to the competition. The COVID-19 policy is being created and enforced by the organizing party and not the hosting facility.

COMPETITORS WILL BE ASSIGNED JUDGING AND SCRAMBLING DUTIES TO KEEP THE COMPETITION RUNNING SMOOTHLY.

EXPERIENCED COMPETITORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR A STAFF POSITION.

NEW COMPETITORS
1. Before the competition, watch this video, made by WCA Senior Delegate Kit Clement with the basics of how things are run at a competition.
2. Also check out this written tutorial on the WCA website to learn about the procedures for competing and judging.
3. We encourage first-time competitors to test out the timing equipment before your first attempt! Feel free to ask a staff member how competing works.
4. It's a good idea to arrive before the scheduled time for your event because if you are not there for the last call you might not be allowed to compete.

ALL COMPETITORS
1. Be familiar with the WCA Regulations!
2. Competitors will be split up into groups for competing. You will be assigned a group, which you can find on the Groups Tab. We will be calling up competitors by group number, not name.
3. On the day of the competition when your group number is called:
- bring your puzzle up
- sanitize it
- find the scorecard with your name on it
- put both items into a cube cover

We will provide a judging tutorial at the beginning of the day, right before the start of the 3x3 Speedsolving event. This will allow anyone with questions about how to judge to be properly prepared when they are expected to help. We hope that this system will fairly divide up the judging of the competition and make the competition run smoothly for all.

Although some competitions use stationary seating to conduct solves, we will be using a non-stationary method to conduct solves for each competitor.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
* Be aware of regulation A1a3: if we are lacking volunteers or the competition begins to fall behind schedule, we reserve the right to make the limits stricter as needed. We don't want that to happen, so please consider helping out when you aren't competing!
* In regards to later rounds, be aware of regulation 9p3. If you won't be present for a further round you made it to please let us know so we can drop you and move someone else into the round; similarly, if you aren't present when the further round begins we may assume that to be your withdrawal and drop you so the next competitor in the rankings can compete.

GROUP ASSIGNMENTS

We will not be calling competitors by name, only groups.

When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look something like this:

We will have a tutorial for new competitors at 8:45 AM before 3x3 round 1 starts.

Group assignments are here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KRghpYeO5dhXJ-xqzDd6vMeItcrCtkn8/view?usp=sharing
