There is a competitor limit of 70 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $15 (Australian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Payment:
Upon registering you will receive an email stating “Your registration for SCA Road Trip - Newcastle 2021 is submitted and pending approval”. This does NOT mean that you are on the registration list. Competitors will not be approved until payment has been made.
Please ensure you have paid the registration fees via Stripe on the register page. Your registration will not be processed until you have paid the registration fees. Email the organisation team at support@speedcubing.org.au if you encounter an issue.
Waiting List:
Once the competitor limit has filled, the waiting list will be opened. New registrations will be added to a waitlist and sorted in the order of payment. Waitlisted competitors will only be accepted provided one of the accepted competitors withdraws from the competition. All competitors still on the waiting list after 26/12/2020 will be removed and provided with a full refund. You may enquire about your position on the waiting list by emailing the organisation team at support@speedcubing.org.au.
Deleting Registration/Refunds:
If you can no longer make the competition you may request a refund. To receive a full refund you must email the organisational team at support@speedcubing.org.au by 26/12/2020. Refunds will not be issued after this date for any reason. Withdrawing enables competitors on the waiting list to attend the competition.
Changing Events:
You may change the events you are registered for by emailing support@speedcubing.org.au by 26/12/2020. After this date it is no longer possible to add events. It is also acceptable to not show up for any event you do not wish to compete in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What time should I arrive at the competition?
You should arrive for registration at 9:00. You should be at the venue ready to compete 30 minutes before you are scheduled. Please note the schedule is subject to change on the day.
Q. How old do I have to be to compete?
Anyone can compete at any age! We encourage anyone considering to compete to register as it will be a great experience regardless of age.
Q. How fast do I have to be to compete?
To compete you only need to know how to solve the cube! Please check the events tab for information in time limits for each event.
Q. What do I need to know before the competition day?
Before attending you should have read and understood the WCA regulations . We also recommend that you watch this helpful competitor guide and read this competition tutorial. You should also know when your events are scheduled throughout the day.
Q. How do I find out if I've progressed to the second round?
Times will be uploaded through the day. Please allow up to an hour from finishing your solves to them being uploaded. After all the times of a round has been entered, you can see if you are in the following round.
Q. Who can I ask for help on the day?

Carpooling
Speedcubing Australia is happy to put those who need a lift with those who have spare seats in their car although please note if you are in someone elses car you will be expected to contribute to the costs of travel for the competitions. Please email Speedcubing Australia if you are travelling with a spare seat or want to enquire about carpooling.
If there are enough enquiries we may also look into hiring a group bus for the competition trip. If you are interested please contact Ethan Pride
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
