Information

Welcome to Rubik's UK Championship 2023!

This year's UK National Championship!

Please read ALL tabs before registering as there is lots of information which will be new to you, even if you are an experienced competitor.

Spectators are welcome! Please read the information below, and the information in the Guests, Spectators, and Media tab.

Free T-Shirt: By registering and attending Rubik's UK Championship 2023, you'll receive a Rubik's UK Championship 2023 t-shirt as a memento! Please fill in your registration comment with your t-shirt size.

Guests: Guests will only be permitted to attend by paying a £5 fee at the competition. Competitors will receive lanyards, and their guests and spectators will receive wristbands, which are to be worn throughout the weekend for security reasons. This includes parents/guardians of competitors. The fee must be paid at the competition and cannot be prepaid beforehand. The guest field in the registration form is for informational purposes only; the fee must be paid at the competition. We accept cash or card payments.

Qualification Requirements: If you do not meet the qualification requirements outlined in the Events tab in an official WCA competition by 9th October 2023, you will not be eligible to compete in those events. You will not be able to add events to your registration which you do not qualify for, but can update your registration if you later qualify for them. There are no qualifications in 3x3, 2x2, Pyraminx, or Skewb, so newcomers will be able to compete in these events only.

Final Round Advancements: For all events with more than one round, we will be taking a minimum number of UK competitors to the final. If necessary, we will increase the size of the final by one competitor at a time until we have enough UK competitors. The requirements are as follows: 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 3x3 Blindfolded, 3x3 One-Handed, Clock, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1 - 6 UK competitors; 3x3 - 8 UK competitors. 3x3 Multiple Blindfolded has a Top 16 qualification requirement, similarly this must contain at least 6 UK competitors.

Fewest Moves: FMC will not be held at this competition. To compete for the national champion title for FMC, you must compete at Rubik's UK Championship FMC 2023. The winner of the FMC competition will be awarded their prize during the awards at Rubik's UK Championship 2023.

Please Note: As this is the UK National Championship, only competitors who represent the United Kingdom will be eligible for prizes. The competition remains open for all nationalities to compete.
