Rush-Hour Format

Zwei Gruppen

Die Teilnehmer werden in zwei Gruppen (A und B) aufgeteilt.

1. Gruppe A startet als Competitor (sie lösen die Würfel).
2. Währenddessen übernehmen alle Mitglieder von Gruppe B die Rollen Judge, Runner oder Scrambler.
3. Sobald Gruppe A fertig ist, tauschen die Gruppen: Gruppe B wird zu den Competitors, Gruppe A übernimmt die Helfer-Rollen.

🛑 Wichtig: Alle müssen von Anfang bis zum Ende anwesend sein, da ohne Helfer keine Gruppe lösen kann.

Disziplinen & Reihenfolge

Die folgenden 5 Disziplinen werden angeboten:

• 4x4x4
• 2x2x2
• 3x3x3 Blindfolded
• Skewb
• Megaminx

Kumulatives Zeitlimit

Du hast insgesamt 20 Minuten Zeit, um alle deine Solves zu machen. Das ist die Summe der Lösungszeiten aller Versuche, egal in welcher Disziplin.
* Wenn du 4 Solves gemacht hast und bereits 18 Minuten auf der Uhr hast, bleiben dir noch 2 Minuten.
* Sobald du das Limit erreichst, darfst du keine weiteren Solves mehr machen. Die restlichen Versuche zählen dann als DNS („Did Not Start“).
* Notiere die Reihenfolge deiner gelösten Disziplinen auf dem jeweiligen Scoresheet. Wenn du z. B. mit 4x4x4 beginnst, trägst du dort eine 1 ein. Beim nächsten Event dann eine 2, usw. So können wir nachvollziehen, welche Versuche gewertet werden, falls du das Zeitlimit von 20 Minuten überschreitest.
* Für deine eigene Übersicht empfehlen wir zudem, nach jedem Event deine bisherige Gesamtzeit auszurechnen.

Keine feste Reihenfolge!

Jede/r Competitor kann frei wählen, mit welcher Disziplin sie/er beginnt und in welcher Reihenfolge weitergelöst wird.

Du musst nicht bei allen Disziplinen mitmachen.

Wenn du nur eine oder zwei Disziplinen, z. B. Skewb und 2x2x2 machen willst, ist das völlig okay.

Hinweis zu 3x3x3 Blindfolded

Da alle gleichzeitig im Raum sind, kann keine vollständige Ruhe garantiert werden.
Wenn du 3BLD machst, wird stark empfohlen, Gehörschutz mitzubringen. Es wird zwar Rücksicht genommen, aber ganz ruhig wird es nicht sein.

Rush-Hour Format

Two Groups

Participants are divided into two groups (A and B).

1. Group A starts as competitors (they do the solves).
2. Meanwhile, all members of Group B take on roles such as judge, runner, or scrambler.
3. Once Group A is finished, the groups switch: Group B becomes the competitors, and Group A takes over the helper roles.

🛑 Important: Everyone must stay from the beginning to the end, since each group relies on the other for helping roles. Without helpers, no one can compete.

Events & Order

The following 5 events are offered:

• 4x4x4
• 2x2x2
• 3x3x3 Blindfolded
• Skewb
• Megaminx

Cumulative Time Limit

You have a total of 20 minutes to complete all your solves. This is the combined time of all your attempts, across all events.
* For example, if you’ve already done 4 solves and your total time is 18 minutes, you have 2 minutes left.
* Once the 20-minute limit is reached, you are not allowed to do any more solves. Remaining attempts will be marked as DNS (Did Not Start).
* Write down the order in which you complete your events on the corresponding scoresheet. For example, if you start with 4x4x4, write a 1 there. The next event gets a 2, and so on. This helps us determine which solves count in case you exceed the 20-minute time limit.
* For your own overview, we also recommend calculating your total accumulated time after each event.

No Fixed Order

You can freely choose which event to start with and in which order you want to solve.

You don’t have to do all events

If you only want to do one or two events – for example, just 2x2x2 and 4x4x4 – that’s totally fine.

Note on 3x3x3 Blindfolded

Since everyone is in the room at the same time, complete silence cannot be guaranteed. If you’re doing 3BLD, it’s strongly recommended to bring ear protection.
Everyone will try to be respectful , but it won’t be perfectly quiet.

Ungewöhnliches Format für Erstteilnehmer

DE: Dieses Turnier folgt einem ungewöhnlichen und schnellen Format, das sich eher für Personen die bereits Turniererfahrung gesammelt haben, eignet. Besonders sehr junge Neulinge könnten davon etwas überfordert sein.
Trotzdem: Neulinge, die sich dieses Format zutrauen, sind herzlich willkommen – wir bitten jedoch dringend darum bereits um 17.45 zu erscheinen und das unten verlinkte Judging-Tutorial-Video im Vorfeld anzuschauen.
Wir werden ein kurzes Tutorial für Neulinge auch vor Ort durchführen.

EN: This competition follows an unusual and fast-paced format, which is better suited for participants with prior competition experience.
Very young newcomers in particular might find it a bit overwhelming.
Newcomers who accept the challenge of course are still very welcome – however, we strongly ask you to arrive no later than 17:45 and to watch the judging tutorial video linked below in advance.
We will hold a short beginner tutorial at the venue, too.

Willkommen zu deiner ersten Competition! Hier sind die wichtigsten Dinge, die du wissen musst:

✅ Ausweis mitbringen: ID, Pass oder Führerschein zur Bestätigung von Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum.
✅ Lerne die Regeln: Schau dir die WCA-Regeln an und dieses Erklärvideo.
✅ Judging-Tutorial: Keine Sorge, wir zeigen dir vor Ort, wie alles funktioniert. Sei pünktlich da fürs Tutorial, wir nehmen uns auch Zeit für deine Fragen.

Wichtige Regeln für alle

✅ Judgen ist Pflicht! Bitte hilf mit – es ist einfach. Falls du nicht hilfst, kann das zur Disqualifikation führen.
✅ Ruhe während Blind-Events. Jedes Geräusch kann stören.
✅ Fotografieren ist erlaubt, aber bitte ohne Blitzlicht
✅ keine Gespräche in der Waiting Area über Scrambles.
✅ Halte deine Würfel im Auge
✅ Respektiere die Venue. Entsorge deinen Müll und halte deinen Platz sauber.

Newcomer Information

Welcome to your first competition! Here are the most important things you need to know:

✅ Bring an ID: Passport, driver's licence, or any official ID to verify your name, nationality, and date of birth.
✅ Learn the rules: Check out the WCA regulations and watch this explanatory video.
✅ Judging tutorial: Don’t worry! We’ll show you how everything works on-site. Be on time for the tutorial—we’ll also answer any questions you have.

Important Rules for everyone

✅ Judging is mandatory! Please help—it’s easy. If you refuse to judge, you may be disqualified.
✅ Silence during Blindfolded events: Any noise can disturb competitors.
✅ Photography is allowed, but please disable flash.
✅ No discussing scrambles in the Waiting Area.
✅ Keep an eye on your cubes.
✅ Respect the venue: Dispose of your trash and keep your space clean.

Nur 3 Minuten vom Bahnhof Rotkreuz – wer mit dem ÖV kommt, entkommt der echten Rush Hour.

Wenn Du mit dem Zug anreist, kannst Du vom Perron direkt via Brücke auf der östlichen Seite des Bahnhofs zur Venue gelangen (Siehe roter Weg auf Bild)
Das Auto kannst Du gebührenpflichtig beim SBB Parkplatz abstellen und auch über die Fussgängerbrücke zur Venue gelangen. Dieser Parkplatz kann nur mit der P+Rail App der SBB bezahlt werden und kostet 1 Franken pro Stunde.

So findest Du den Weg zum Raum:
Vom Bahnhof her kommend befindet sich der Eingang links von den "Bänkli" und dem Brunnen.

Im Gebäude gehst du zu den Liften auf der rechten Seite und fährst in den 3. Stock.

Wenn du aus dem Lift kommst, gehst du nach links und direkt wieder links.

Falls Du zu früh da bist, bitten wir dich in diesem Bereich zu warten und nicht im Raum der Venue selbst.

Arrival

Just 3 minutes from Rotkreuz station – take public transport and escape the real Rush Hour.

If you’re arriving by train, you can reach the venue directly from the platform via the bridge on the east side of the station (see red path on the image).

If you’re coming by car, you can park at the SBB car park (fees apply) and also reach the venue via the pedestrian bridge. The only way to pay for this car park is using the SBB P+Rail app.. It costs 1 Franc per hour.

How to find the room:
Coming from the train station, the entrance is to the left of the outdoor-seating and the water-fountain.
Inside the building, go to the elevators on the right-hand side and take them to the 3rd floor.

When you come out of the elevator, turn left and then left again.

If you arrive early, please do not enter the venue, but wait in the "cafeteria area" (see lowest picture above):
