How to Register

1.- Click the tab on the left labeled "Register".

2.- Read the Registration Requirements carefully, every competition is different so this will vary. There are several reasons a registration might not be able to be accepted, including:

  • The competitor limit has already been reached.
  • The registration period has not opened or has already closed.
  • The registration fee has not been paid.
  • The competitor's full first and last name on the WCA account was not entered or isn't properly capitalized.

3.- Select the Events you would like to participate in at the competition. Selected Events are darker than unselected Events. You can hover over the Event Icon to see the name of the Event. These can be changed later if you're not sure, so don't worry about it too much.

4.- Fill in how many guests the competitor will have with them and any comments if you have any.

5.- Click Register!

6.- In the next screen, complete the payment process. Remember, unpaid registrations are not accepted. Registrations are accepted in the order they are completed fully and paid.

Registration FAQ

  • I registered! How do I know if it was accepted?
When you register, you should automatically receive an email saying "Registration Pending". This means you are on the waitlist awaiting an organization member to manually accept it if everything is in order. This should happen within 24 hours. If the registration is accepted, you will receive an email that says "Registration Accepted". Registrations that are not correctly completed or are unpaid will remain on the waitlist. If the competitor limit has been reached, paid registrations will accumulate on the waitlist. You can check the Competitors tab on the left to see how many competitors have been accepted so far.

  • The competitor limit has been reached, can I still register?
Yes! Completed and paid registrations are placed on a Waitlist when registration has filled. Accepted competitors often cancel before the waitlist acceptance deadline, but it is not guaranteed. If any space becomes available, registrations will be accepted from the Waitlist in the order they were paid. Paid registrations that are never accepted will be refunded in full after the competition. You can view your position on the Waitlist in the Register tab.

  • I've changed my mind, how do I change my registered Events?
If the deadline to change Events (listed in the Registration Requirements) has not been reached, email the organizers by clicking on "Organization Team" in the General Info tab. If your change is to unregister for an Event, you can also choose to just not submit a puzzle when it comes time for that Event during the competition. I recommend everyone register for any events they might potentially want to participate in because you can't add Events after the deadline, but you can always not show up for them the day of.

  • Something came up and I can't make it! How do I cancel?
Email the organizers by clicking on "Organization Team" in the General Info tab. See the Registration Requirements for details on the cancellation deadline and amount to be refunded upon cancellation.

We appreciate all of you for helping our competitions run by filling your staffing assignments and volunteering to pitch in extra. We see you, and we want to start rewarding you for your hard work! For every group, anyone that fills any staffing position (whether by assignment or volunteer) for the duration of the group will receive one raffle ticket. There will be 3 drawings throughout the day (see the schedule). Winners will be able to pick between the following prizes (if still available):

Staffle Prizes

Rules:

  • One raffle ticket awarded per staffing position filled per group.
  • Tickets may not be transferred to anyone else.
  • Raffle winners may only win once per competition.
  • Raffle winners must be present to receive their prize.
  • No one may volunteer for a staffing position they are not able to fulfill properly (e.g. scrambling for an event you're unfamiliar with). Organizers and delegates may decline or dismiss anyone from their staffing position for any reason.
  • Maximum 3 scramblers and 2 runners on each stage for each group. Positions will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Anyone may remain in their position between groups to save their spot. If no positions are available, no one is obligated to vacate their position for anyone else.
  • Anyone found to be leaving their position early (after being awarded a ticket), neglecting to fulfill their position's responsibilities properly, or otherwise attempting to obtain tickets they didn't earn will be disqualified from the raffle.
  • Listed organizers and delegates are ineligible.

All podium prizes sponsored by GAN! (see sponsor tab for more info on GAN)

This competition will utilize a running judges system. This means that competitors will be assigned a solving station and remain there for their group. Judges will grab a scrambled cube from the scrambling table and run them to the appropriate solving station.
