Register for Region's Cup 2026 here.
Please read the guidelines below before registering.
Regions Cup 2026 will comprise of 16 teams battling it out.
The 12 Core Teams
Most of the bracket is made up of 12 pre-determined teams. These spots are based on who has been the most active and consistent over the last two region's cup.
The 4 Wildcards
The last four spots are reserved as wildcards. We don't lock these in until registration is over so we can see who actually turns up. We’ll use these spots to fill gaps in the bracket, specifically focusing on:
1. Newer Regions: Giving a spot to teams that don't usually get much representation.
2. Extra Team Entries: If a specific area has a massive turnout, we might use a wildcard to allow a secondary team from that region to join the mix.
Guidelines
Tournament Format: Single Elimination
The 2026 Region's Cup will run on a Single Elimination bracket using a head-to-head team format.
Match Process
- Three-Man Teams: Each team will have three members who solve one after the other.
- Every member gets their own individual solve.
- Inspection Rules: Each cuber gets a total of 15 seconds to inspect. At 8 seconds of inspection, the emcee will call "8 seconds." At 12 seconds, the emcee begins the countdown: "3, 2, 1, Solve!"
- At "... Solve!", the 1st cuber to solve must immediately begin. Once the 1st cuber finishes, the 2nd begins, and then the 3rd. The 2nd and 3rd cuber must begin immediately after the solver who preceeds them finishes.
- The solve times of the three cubers will be added to determine the team's final time:
- The fastest team of the two head-to-heads advances to the next round/wins.
Player Eligibility & Residency
- You must be a registered competitor for Philippine Championship 2026.
- You may not be part of two teams.
- To qualify for a team, each member must meet at least one of these conditions:
1. By Birth: You were born in the represented region.
2. By Residency: You have lived in the represented region for at least one (1) calendar year.
Mixed Team Rules
For "Mixed" categories (like Luzon Mixed or Mindanao Mixed), you can form a team using any three members who meet the residency or birth requirements for any of the regions included in that group.
Verification
Be ready to provide a valid ID, birth certificate, or an official document (school record or barangay certificate) to prove your eligibility. You may redact information that aren't necessities, as long as the name and proof of residency is there. If a player cannot provide proof, the team will not be cleared to compete.
