This document is also useful: Competing, Judging, and Running Tutorial

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.

Group Assignments

Each round will be broken up into multiple groups. Every group will have some competitors, as well as some assignments like judging and scrambling. A few days before the competition, group assignments will be made so you can see which groups you'll be competing or helping in.

Groups information will be hosted on competitiongroups.com, with a direct link to this competition on the Groups tab once the groups are made. This website will tell you when and where you should be in order to compete, judge, or scramble for every event you signed up for. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing. If you have any additional questions, reach out to the organizer team! We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

FAQ

Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.

Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.

Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge.

I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule. If you require an alternate time to compete because of religious or other accommodations, please reach out to the organizer team.

When do I need to show up?
The schedule tab has a detailed breakdown of the event timeline for the day. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change as the competition runs. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.

Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website. If you see any inaccuracies on the entries in WCA Live, please let an organizer or delegate know.
