Information

Participants have to bring their own cube for the event.
Check out all the other Tabs for more detailed information.

  • Make sure you will be available at the venue at least 30 minutes before your event starts. You won't be allowed to participate in an event under any circumstances if you reach late.
  • If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time or not aware of competition rules, make sure that you attend the tutorial session.
  • If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time, please bring your goverment ID card for verification.
  • All the participants are requested to volunteer in the competition and every participant (except newcomers) will be assigned to a particular event they have to either judge, scramble, etc for the group/event.

You can select the events in which you want to participate in this tab and hit on Register.
Make sure you select the exact number of events in which you want to participate accordingly in the next step.

You can select the events in which you want to participate in this tab and hit on Register.
Make sure you select the exact number of events in which you want to participate and pay accordingly in the next step.

Participation Procedure (AB System)

Note:
The group list will only be available at the venue during the competition. All participants are requested to reach the venue atleast 30 minutes before their event starts.

Please follow the procedure below for participation during the competition:

  1. Upon arriving at the venue, check the group list for your name. After confirming your groups, wait in the designated waiting area until your group is called.

  2. Groups will be called in pairs of odd and even for each event (e.g., Group 1 & Group 3 or Group 2 & Group 4).
    • When called, Group 1 will compete, and Group 3 will act as judges.
    • Once you are finished with your solves, switch places with your judge till they are finished with their solves.
    • If you are solving, please remain seated till all your solves are completed.
    • You may be called for scrambling/running once you are competed with your solves.

  3. Once both you and your judge are finished with their solves, you may leave the solving area and go back to the waiting area.

Cube Submission Procedure

As groups are called in pairs, all competitors from both groups must submit their cubes before entering the solving area, regardless of whether they are solving or judging in the first half of the round.

For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: It's just a competiton, not the Olympics. Don't forget to have fun at the competition and make new friends.

From Airport

  1. You can take a Cab (Uber/Ola) directly to Prateek Laurel, Sector-120, Noida.

From Railway Station

  1. The nearest railway station is New Delhi Railway Station.
  2. After reaching, take a Cab (Uber/Ola) directly to Prateek Laurel (Approx. 45 minutes) or
  3. You can take the metro at New Delhi metro station to Rajiv Chowk at yellow line. Then switch to blue line to reach Noida Sector-52.
  4. After reaching the station, exit at gate-3.
  5. From there you can book a 10 minute Cab (Uber/Ola) or auto to Prateek Laurel

From Metro Station

  1. The Nearest Metro Station is Sector-52 at the blue line.
  2. After reaching the station, exit at gate-3.
  3. From there you can book a Cab (Uber/Ola) or get an auto to Prateek Laurel, Sector-120.

Personal Vehicles

  1. You can park your 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers outside gate-1 and gate-2 of the society. Please note parking is limited. We strongly recommend taking a cab or other means of public transport to reach the venue.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
