VOLUNTEERING

Please note that all competitors are required to assist with volunteering during the competition - either in the role of "runner", "judge" or "scrambler". These roles will be explained as part of the New Competitor Tutorial.

We greatly appreciate all assistance during the competition and more volunteers helping out during the competition helps to stay on schedule and not run behind

There is a competitor limit of 50 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is KSh1,000 (Kenyan Shilling).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 70% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of KSh1,000 (Kenyan Shilling).

For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

First, please be familiar with the WCA Regulations, found here:

Competitors and guests will need to make their own arrangements for lunch. Communications about available lunch venues nearby shall be forwarded to you three days before the competition. Further details shall be included later on.

You do have the option to bring your own packed lunch and snacks.

Every competitor will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
Podium winners will be awarded Achievement Certificates + other Goodies from our event Sponsors.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Advancement Condition

The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
