Registration Reminders
Since this is a "favourites" competition, you may choose at most four (4) events.
You must register and pay the registration fee before your registration can be accepted. Unpaid registrations and registrations with more than four (4) events will not be accepted. See the Competitor List and Waiting List sections near the bottom of this page for more details.

Competitor Requirements
This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at the WCA Competition Tutorial.

There is a competitor limit of 185 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $40 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 2 guests.
Competitors may register in at most 4 events.

Health and Safety (COVID-19) Protocols
Competitors must read the Health and Safety Protocols prior to registering.
Guest Limit
Space is limited in the venue and our priority is allowing as many competitors as possible to compete within our limited venue space. There are many open spaces around the campus that can be used instead.
Competitors may bring at most two (2) guests. Competitors over the age of 18 are encouraged to come without a guest.
Competitor List
Registrants must pay the registration fee in order to be added to the competitor list. Organizers manually accept registrations one at a time in the order the registration fees are paid, so you may have to wait a while before your name could show up on the competitor list.
Once the competitor list reaches the 185 competitor limit, registrants who pay the registration fee will be added to the waiting list instead of the competitor list. Due to the competitor limit, completing your registration within the initial registration period does not guarantee you a spot on the competitor list.
Waiting List
The waiting list is ordered based on the timestamp that registrants paid the registration fee. For privacy reasons, this list is not available to the public. If you are added to the waiting list you will be informed via an email from the Organization team.
Anyone on the waiting list who wishes to be removed from the waiting list may contact the organizers to delete their registration and be refunded 100% of their registration fee.
If the competitor list fills up quickly, registration could close earlier than the originally listed date (August 30th, 2023). The waiting list will close at the same time that registration closes.
If anyone on the competitor list deletes their registration, the person at the top of the waiting list will be moved to the competitor list. After September 8th, 2023, the competitor list will be finalized and registrants who are still on the waiting list will be refunded 100% of their registration fee.

L'espace est limité et notre priorité est de permettre au plus grand nombre possible de compétiteurs de participer dans cet espace restreint. De nombreux espaces libres autour du campus peuvent être utilisés à la place.

Liste des compétiteurs
Les personnes inscrites doivent payer les frais d'inscription afin d'être ajoutées à la liste des compétiteurs. Les organisateurs acceptent manuellement les inscriptions une par une, dans l'ordre de paiement des droits d'inscription. Il se peut donc que vous deviez attendre un certain temps avant que votre nom n'apparaisse sur la liste des participants.
Lorsque la liste des compétiteurs atteint la limite de 185 compétiteurs, les personnes qui ont payé les frais d'inscription seront ajoutées à la liste d'attente au lieu de la liste des compétiteurs. En raison de la limite de compétiteurs, le fait de compléter votre inscription pendant la période d'inscription initiale ne vous garantit pas une place sur la liste des compétiteurs.
Liste d'attente
La liste d'attente est ordonnée en fonction de l'horodatage du paiement des droits d'inscription par les inscrits. Pour des raisons de confidentialité, cette liste n'est pas accessible au public. Si vous êtes ajouté à la liste d'attente, vous en serez informé par un e-mail de l'équipe de l'Organisation.
Toute personne figurant sur la liste d'attente qui souhaite être retirée de la liste d'attente peut contacter les organisateurs pour supprimer son inscription et être remboursée à 100% de ses frais d'inscription.
Si la liste des concurrents se remplit rapidement, l'inscription pourrait se terminer plus tôt que la date initialement prévue (30 août 2023). La liste d'attente sera fermée en même temps que les inscriptions.
Si une personne sur la liste des concurrents supprime son inscription, la personne en tête de la liste d'attente sera déplacée vers la liste des compétiteurs. Après le 8 septembre 2023 la liste des concurrents sera clôturée et les personnes inscrites qui figurent encore sur la liste d'attente seront remboursées à 100 % de leurs frais d'inscription.

Venue
The venue is in Building D at the Algonquin College Ottawa campus. Please refer to this map for more details.
To get to Salon A/B/C from Parking Lot 8:
- Enter in the silver building “Robert C Gillet Students Commons” (this is the E building on the campus map)
- Continue straight ahead and stay to the left when you reach the Bookstore
- Continue up the ramp and go straight until you see “Marketplace Food Court” on the left. Go through the double doors that say “Event & Banquet Salons” (if you walk up a second ramp you went too far – turn around)
- Salon A/B/C will be in front of you once you go through the double doors
Public Transit
Algonquin College is serviced by OC Transpo's Baseline station on the west side of the campus.
Parking
The closest and most convenient parking to the venue is in lot 8. Please follow the HONK Mobile instructions to pay for your parking.
Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi available at the college for all guests.
Lunch
There are multiple food options within a 5 minute walk north of the venue.

Pour se rendre au salon A/B/C depuis le parking 8 :
- Entrez dans le bâtiment argenté "Robert C Gillet Students Commons" (c'est le bâtiment E sur le plan du campus).
- Continuez tout droit et restez à gauche lorsque vous atteignez la librairie.
- Continuez à monter la rampe et allez tout droit jusqu'à ce que vous voyiez "Marketplace Food Court" sur la gauche. Passez les doubles portes qui indiquent "Event & Banquet Salons" (si vous montez une deuxième rampe, vous êtes allé trop loin - faites demi-tour).
- Les salons A/B/C seront devant vous une fois que vous aurez franchi les doubles portes.

Please find all your competitor assignments here. Please plan to arrive to each of your groups 5 minutes before it is scheduled to begin. Showing up excessively late to your group may result in not being allowed to compete in that event.
All returning competitiors will also be assigned staffing duties to support the success of this competition.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
