The competition will be held at the Galileo Lecture Hall at Harvey Mudd College.

Harvey Mudd College 301 Platt Blvd, Claremont, CA 91711

Parking:

Parking Map and Visitor Parking Pass: https://bit.ly/2Z044Dz

Please park in one of the three locations indicated in the parking map, and print and display the visitor parking pass on the dashboard of your vehicle. Signs will guide you from these parking areas to Galileo Hall, which is structure 6 on the parking map.

Note that the venue is underground (#6 on the map). Stairs on the east side of the structure will lead you into the lecture hall.

Elevators are available via Olin (building #1 on the campus map), and there will be signs to direct you into the lecture hall. Please contact awalker@worldcubeassocation.org prior to the event to coordinate any other accommodations.

Dining:
Mudd's dining hall will be open during select hours for brunch and dinner. In addition, the Claremont Village is less than two miles away and has many places to eat.

First-time Competitors:

All newcomers should be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. Also, this video provides an awesome overview of many of the basic competition rules. We will be running a competitor tutorial in the morning prior to 3x3, and there will be a brief Q&A period to clarify any questions you might have.

All Competitors:

When you check in, you will receive a card/nametag with personalized information detailing your events and what group (similar to heats) you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also receive staffing assignments, such as judging other competitors' solves. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, all competitors are required to help out during their staffing assignments. This ensures that we're able to run the competition smoothly and stay on schedule!

That being said, we realize staffing can be really daunting! During the competitor tutorial in the morning before 3x3, we will go over the procedures for staffing. This will allow anyone with questions about how to judge to be properly prepared when they are expected to help. In addition, we're happy to answer any questions that come up throughout the competition day. We hope that this system will fairly divide up the judging of the competition and make the competition run smoothly for all.

Live results are available on Cubecomps: https://www.cubecomps.com/live.php?cid=4727

On the day of the competition, please pick up your personalized nametag with your groups and staffing assignments. If you lose your nametag, you can view groups on this Google Sheet.

We will be using a group system to call up competitors to two stages. Groups will consist of a number and either an “R” or a “B”, which correspond to the red side and blue side, respectively. We will be calling up groups sequentially. (For example, group “2R” will be the second group called on the red side, immediately after 1R)

SpeedCubeShop will be sponsoring this competition! Special thanks to them and their support!
