Q: What time should I arrive at the competition?
Please arrive for registration between 8:30 and 9:00. You should always be ready to compete at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time.

Q: How do I prepare before the competition?
We strongly recommend reading the WCA regulations before attending. A simplified competitor tutorial is also available to help you understand what to expect.

Q: Is there an age requirement to compete?
No age limit! Anyone of any age can compete as long as they can solve a cube. There is also no age category separation, everyone competes together.

Q: How fast do I need to be?
You only need to solve a 3x3 cube in under 10 minutes to compete. You can check the Events tab for each event’s cutoff and time limit.

Q: Why am I not yet on the registration list?
Registration is manually approved by the organizers, so it may take some time. Don’t worry if your name doesn’t appear right away.

Q: How can I change the events I signed up for?
You can modify your registered events through the competition registration page or by contacting us via email.

Q: What should I bring?
Bring your own puzzles for the events you’re competing in. All timing equipment is provided.

Q: Do I solve the cube just once?
No, you’ll typically get five attempts per round (except in events like 3x3 Blindfolded). The result is calculated as the average of the middle three times, after removing your fastest and slowest solve.

Q: How do I know if I’ve made it to the next round?
Results are uploaded progressively throughout the day on WCA Live. Once all results for a round are in, you’ll see if you’ve advanced.

Q: Who can I talk to if I have questions on the day?
You can speak to any of the organizers or WCA delegates listed on the competition’s info page. They can help with anything from rules to scheduling and qualification details.

Q: Can I help during the competition?
Yes! Help is always appreciated. We often need judges and runners, so feel free to ask the delegates how you can assist.

Q: How do I get a WCA ID?
You’ll receive your WCA ID via email after your first official results are posted.

You can check the live results via the link of the competition in the official page of WCA Live.
