At this competiton, there will be an extra ranking called the blind battle. It will be based off results from the 4 WCA recognized blind events: 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and Multiple blindfolded.
How it works
- To enter the blind battle, you only have to register for one of the four blindfolded events.
- If you are participating in the blind battle but there is a blindfolded event you aren't competing in or do not complete a single solve in an event, you will receive a score of 0 for that event.
- Your best single in each event you compete in will determine your score for that event.
- You can find the scores for the blind battle here and they will be updated throughout the day.
- Scores for 3x3 4x4 and 5x5 blindfolded will be calculated by dividing the wold record for the respective event by your result and multiplying it by 100
- Scores for Multiple blindfolded will be calculated by dividing your result by the world record and multiplying it by 100
- Your final score will be calculated by the sum of all your other scores divided by 4
- Certificates will be handed out for the top 3 competitors in the blind battle at the end of the day
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
