Midwest Cubing Classic - Important Information
Welcome to the Midwest Cubing Classic! This event is unique and designed to provide a fun and flexible experience for cubers of all levels. Here’s everything you need to know:
Key Differences from Other Competitions
Unlike most competitions, Midwest Cubing Classic does not require early registration or any registration fees, making it free to participate with paid admission to the Midwest Gaming Classic. The event is designed for maximum flexibility—it runs all day, so you can arrive at your convenience and we’ll place you in the next available round. This approach ensures everyone has the opportunity to join the fun without the stress of rigid scheduling.
Event Details
The competition will feature multiple events, so it’s important to keep an eye on the schedule to know when your favorites are happening. Finals will be held for select events, and live scoring updates will help you stay informed. Since the venue is expected to be crowded, we recommend allowing extra time to navigate to the cubing area, which is tentatively planned to be near the tabletop gaming section. Additional details will be shared as they become available, so stay tuned.

Buy Tickets
We need a number of volunteers to fill in with judging, running, scrambling, competitor check-in, data entry, and our MCA booth on Sunday at MGC. This is a great opportunity for experienced competitors and parents to help out. Volunteers will work in 'shifts' throughout the day and can explore the convention and compete during their time off.
Volunteers will get a free ticket to MGC for Sunday. Snacks and waters will be provided.
Volunteer applications will open soon.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
