How to Register Online

Prospective competitors register by:

2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $25.00. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.

The competitor limit for this competition is 36. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 36 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.

Competitors MUST register and pay online in order to compete. No at-the-door registrations or payments will be accepted.

Any requested changes to registration before 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, November 14 will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.

Refunds

Approved competitors who cancel their registration before 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, November 14 are eligible for a refund for half (50%) of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.

Waitlist Information

If a competitor emails us to drop out before 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, November 14, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. What is a Favorites Competition?

A Favorites Competition is a term for a competition that has most or all WCA recognized events, but competitors may only register for a maximum of a few events. This is done to allow people the opportunity to compete in their preferred events, while having a large selection of events to pick from.

How do I know what events I can register for?

Competitors may only register for events that add up to no more than 20 points.
You can find how many points each event is worth in the table below:

Event Points
2x2 3
4x4 5
5x5 8
6x6 6
7x7 8
3x3 One-Handed 5
Clock 6
Megaminx 8
Pyraminx 3
Skewb 3
Square-1 5

(Please note that this points system only applies for this competition).

Examples of valid combinations:
- 2x2, 7x7, Pyraminx, Square-1 (3 + 8 + 3 + 5 = 19 points) ✔️
- 6x6, Megaminx, Skewb (6 + 8 + 3 = 17 points) ✔️
- 5x5, 3x3 One-Handed, Clock (8 + 5 + 6 = 19 points) ✔️

Example of an invalid combination:
- 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 (8 + 6 + 8 = 22 points) ❌

If your registered events add up to over 20 points, we will remove events until it is under and you will need to email us to make sure it's your preferred events list.

How will the competition run?

The competition will run in three 70 minute groups. In the group you are competing in, you will do all of your events one after the other. In the other groups, you must help out with judging or scrambling.

You must be present from 4:30pm until 8pm, otherwise you will not be allowed to compete.

The 3 events with the most registered competitors after registration closes will have Top-8 Final Rounds.

This competition is being held in the Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV). See the regions on CubingUSA's website.

TheCubicle will be providing prizes for the winners!

The competition venue requires a code to access. The code will be emailed to all competitors after registration closes. Please check your emails accordingly!
