For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of any age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

If you are stoked to compete and ready to sign up, head over to the registration tab, click register, and fill out the information it asks for. This will help you get set up the WCA's system and one step closer to your first official solve!

Q&A:

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?

A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?

A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: What is the competition like?

A: Competitions are a bunch of tables where nerds like us get to sit and discuss our favorite thing, Cubes! Of course in addition there is competing, which will occupy one side of the competition gyml, where you will see lots of timers flickering with contestants new personal bests.

Q: When do I need to show up?

A: Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.

Q: How do I find results?

A: All results are posted on the WCA page a couple of days after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to Cubecomps.com to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about 2nd and 3rd rounds of events.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?

A: Make sure you pay you entrance fee in order to be automatically placed on the registered list, which will also guarantee you a spot in the competition.

Q: Are there age divisions?

A: Nope! All competitors compete in the same group.

Q: Do spectators have to pay to attend?

A: Nope! Anyone is welcome to stop by anytime for free and check it out.

Q: Can you add more events?
A: No.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?

A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

The competition will be located in the large gym of the school, slightly to the left of the front entrance (The entrance nearest to the road).

The closest airports to the venue are the Miwaukee Mitchell Intl. Airport (~40 min drive) and the Dane County Regional Airport (~1 hour drive).

The closest hotels to the venue are the Holiday Inn Express Delafield and AmericInn in Delafield.

We will have full-time staff who will volunteer by judging, running, scrambling, or entering data all day. You can apply here.

A personal card of groups for each competitor can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hiHgDKtNs-BFk0_Ss3NklqAgO9-uXVxx/view?usp=sharing

-Before the competition, watch this great video made by WCA Senior Delegate Kit Clement with the basics of how it all works.
-There is also this written tutorial on the WCA website that is very helpful.
-We encourage first time competitors to test out the timing equipment before your first attempt! Feel free to ask a staff member how competing works.
-The competitors will be split up into groups for competing. You will be assigned a group, which you can find on the Groups Tab.
-On the day of the competition when your group number is called you bring your puzzle up and put it in the box that has a scorecard with your name on it and wait in the competitor waiting area until your name is called.
-It's a good idea to arrive before the scheduled time for your event because if you are not there for the last call you might not be allowed to compete.
