Information

Hjertelig velkommen til vår andre hverdagskubing på LSP i Oslo.
Kveldens konkurranse har et veldig spesielt opplegg, der hver deltaker har 18 minutter i total løsningstid til å gjennomføre alle sine løsninger. Det er deltageren selv som på forhånd velger hvilke grener man vil delta i og bruke sine 18 minutter på. Konkurransen foregår mandag kveld og varer i tilsammen ca 4 timer og du kan delta i maks 5 grener.

Vi holder til i et lite lokale sentralt i Oslo der LSPkuberne pleier å ha kubetreff.
Vi håper at både erfarne og nye speedcubere i Oslo har lyst til å prøve seg på konkurranser lokalt.

Vi vil lage månedlige konkurranser framover og se hvilket format som funker.
Målet er å starte Osloligaen til høsten, der vi kårer en vinner etter resultatene fra flere små konkurranser gjennom høsten og vinteren.

Lokalet er har minimalt med tilskuerplass, så det er fint hvis antall gjester er så lavt som mulig.

Welcome to the second edition of LSP Hverdagskubing in Oslo. This competitions has a very special format, where each competitor has a total of 18 minutes of solving time to complete all their solves. The competitor gets to choose which events to spend their time on. Note, that each competitor can choose a maximum of five (5) events to compete in. The competition, which this time takes place on a Monday, lasts only approx. 4 hours.

Please read through all the tabs on this page (especially "Hverdagskubing") so you don't miss any important information.

We are based in a small venue in the center of Oslo where the LSPcubers tend to have cube meetings.
We hope that both experienced and new speedcubers in Oslo want to join these local competitions.

We will create monthly competitions in the future and see which format works.
The aim is to start the Oslo League in the autumn, where we will choose a winner based on the results of several small competitions throughout the autumn and winter.

The venue has limited space for guests. Please bring as few guests as possible.

The base registration fee for this competition is 200 kr (Norwegian Krone).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.

No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 1 guest.

I denne konkurransen kan du registrere deg for maks 5 event/grener!

Alle deltakere skal ha lest WCA regulations.Vi forventer at deltakerne kjenner til WCAs reglement før man deltar i en offisiell konkurranse. Før konkurransen starter kommer vi til å ha en introduksjon av reglene for konkurransen, for nybegynnere.

**Du må være påmeldt og fått bekreftelse for å kunne delta.

Alle nye deltagere må ha med gyldig ID. For å kunne konkurrere må du kunne legitimere deg selv med pass/ førerkort/ nasjonalt IDkort for å vise at den informasjonen du har regsistrert er korrekt. (Navn, nasjonalitet og fødselsdato)Hvis du ikke har ID kan en forelder/ verge bekrefte at du er du.

**Du må være klar til å konkurrere når gruppen din starter. Møt opp minst 15 min før gruppen din skal starte. Møt minst 20 min før din første øvelse så du rekker å registrere deg.

**Fotografering med blits i lokalene er ikke lov. Blitslys er forstyrrende for deltagerne. Ta foto uten blits i stedet.

**Publikum må holde minst 1,5 meter avstand fra konkurranseområdet, ellers kan de forstyrre deltakerne.

**Du kan ikke snakke om blandingene før alle er ferdige med pågående gren, ellers kan du bli diskvalifisert.

**Følg med på e-post! Noen dager før konkurransen får du en deltagermail med viktig informasjon og evt endringer i programmet. Vi sender også annen info som haster via mail, så sjekk mailen regelmessig.

Important info
In this competition you may only register for a maximum of 5 events.

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial before the competitions starts, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide. is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete!

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth. If the competitor is young and does not have an ID, a parent or guardian can confirm that the information is correct instead.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 20 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 20 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail a few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.

If you've never competed before, you should to bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's license. This is a recommended policy to make sure your personal information is correct. If you do not have an ID, a parent or guardian can confirm the information.

This video demonstrates how solving in a competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know. It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them. You are of course more than welcome to ask us questions during the competition!

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Hverdagskubing med kumulativ tidsgrense
Hverdagskubing er kortere konkurranser på hverdagskveldene (2-5 timer).
Denne gangen kan du selv velge maks 5 øvelser/grener du vil konkurrere i. Du kan bare delta i de grenene du har meldt deg på i, men hvis tiden går ut før du er ferdig får du DNS og DNF som resultat i de siste grenene.

Alle deltagerne deles inn i grupper og det er veldig viktig at de som først får løse kubene MÅ bli igjen og være dommere og blandere for den siste gruppen som skal løse sine kuber. Hvis en deltaker går før han/hun har vært dommer for den siste gruppen, slettes alle resultatene hans/hennes for denne konkurransen.

Hvis en deltagare f.eks. gjør fem løsningar i 3x3x3 på 20 sekunder hver, så har deltagaren brukt 1 min og 40 sek. Det innebærer at deltakeren har 16:20 igjen til å forsøke å løse de 4 andre grenene han/hun har valgt.

Viktig information
* Meld deg på de 5 grenene du tror at du kommer til å gjøre forsøk i. Det gjør ingenting hvis du melder deg på i flere grener enn du klarer å gjennomføre innenfor 18 minutter. De grenene du ikke rekker dropper du bare og får ikke noe resultat i disse. OBS: Du kan IKKE delta i grener som du ikke har meldt deg på i før fristen.
* Merk deg spesielt at konkurransen er delt inn i grupper der halvparten løser kubene og den andre halvparten er dommere og blandere. Vi prøver å lage grupper så det blir noen erfarne blandere på hver gruppe.

Alle anbefales å bruke dette så du vet når du har passert 18 minutter. Alle løsninger etter 18 minutter blir registrert med DNF.

Kumulativ tidsgrense
Hvis du når tidsgrensen på 18 minuttter i løpet av løsnigen din vil dommeren stoppe deg og resultatet blir DNF. (se Regel A1a4).

Workday cubing with cumulativ time limit
Workday Cubing are shorter competitions on a workday (2-5 hours).
This evening you can choose a maximum of 5 events which you want to compete in. You can only participate in the events you have signed up for, but if the time runs out before you finish you will get DNF as a result for the rest of the events.

All the participants are divided into groups and it is very important that those who get to solve the cubes first MUST stay after their solves and be judges and scramblers for the last group so they can to solve their cubes. If a contestant leaves before he/she has judged the last group, all of his/her results for this competition will be deleted (DNF).

If a participant e.g. make five solutions in 3x3x3 in 20 seconds each, then the participant has spent 1 min and 40 sec. This means that the participant has 16:20 left to try to solve the 4 other events he/she has chosen.

Important information
* Register for the 5 events you think you will attempt. It doesn't matter if you sign up for more events than you can complete within 18 minutes. You just drop the events you can't reach and you don't get any results in them. NOTE: You cannot participate in events that you have not signed up for before the deadline.
* Note in particular that the competition is divided into groups where half of the competitors solve the cubes and the other half are judges and scramblers. We try to make groups so that there will be some experienced scramblers in each group.
* It is mandatory to be a judge in the group that you do not compete in. Otherwise, this competition format does not work with two groups of the same size. Feel free to ask one of the organizers/delegates if you have questions about e.g. being a judge.
* How do I know how much time I have spent? All participants receive an e-mail a couple of days before the competition with access to a spreadsheet/Google Sheet where you can enter the solution times and the document calculates how much time you have left. Everyone is advised to use this so you know when you've passed 18 minutes. All solutions after 18 minutes are recorded with DNF.

You can enter all WCA branches, except 3x3x3 FMC and 3x3x3 Multi-Blind this time.

Cumulative time limit
If you reach the time limit of 18 minutes during your release, the referee will stop you and the result will be DNF. (see Rule A1a4).
A cumulative time limit applies this evening for several branches together. (see Guidelines A1a2++).
