Registration Process

Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.

How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $30. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.

The competitor limit for this competition is 80. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 80 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist. If the competitor limit is not reached, we will accept at-the-door registrations. We cannot accept any new registrations after the limit has been reached

Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.

How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."

Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 8:00 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 75% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.

Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 8:00pm EDT you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.

FAQ

Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.

Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 80 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.

How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.

Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.

Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.

This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.

I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.

When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.

Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a fun overview of the rules.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.

For All Competitors

Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This will be a website link to competitiongroups.com. Click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. This page will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:

Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

Running Judges

We will be using the Running Judges system for this competition, which is used at most competitions throughout the Midwest. At the start of each group, competitors will pick up their scorecard from the pickup table, and sit at any open station. A judge will take the competitor's cube to the scrambling area, who will then take a scrambled cube to the station matching the number on the cube cover. The competitor proceeds with their solve and remains at their station, the judge takes the cube back to the scrambling area, and the process repeats for the rest of the average.

Parking: There is ample parking in front of the school.

Entrance: Enter through the main entrance at the front of the school. Make a left and follow the signs for the cafeteria.

Food: There are a number of restaurants within a 10 minute drive of the venue, including but not limited to: UDF, GetGo, Kroger, Giant Eagle, McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Panera, Moe's, Donatos, Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, Piada, Buffalo Wild Wings, First Watch, Sunny Street Café, Crumbl, Rusty Bucket, Playa Bowls, and more.
