Information

The Midwest Cubing Association and The World Cube Association are pleased to welcome WCA Competitions back to the Hoosier State! 5x5 is featured as the main event of this competition, but there are still 3 rounds of 3x3.

This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors must be familiar with the WCA Regulations. By registering, competitors agree to the information in the Competitor Responsibilities tab. This tab details the responsibilites of all competitors at this competition. Not abiding by these responsibilities can result in disqualification. Please also be sure to review the Health and Safety tab to check additional COVID-19 information for this competition.

There is a competitor limit of 120 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $20 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 90% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.


Your registration will not be confirmed (moved from the waiting list) until payment has been completed. Please note that even after payment, registrations need to be manually approved before appearing on the registration list.

Competitors will be accepted from the waitlist in the order that they paid.

ALL COMPETITORS:

When you arrive, you will receive a card/nametag with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also receive staffing assignments. All competitors are expected to help at this competition. If the competition is low on staff and you do not meet your staffing assignments, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

FIRST-TIME COMPETITORS:

At the beginning of the day, there will be a new competitor/judging tutorial. If this is your first competition, it is STRONGLY recommended that you attend this, as it will help ensure that staff are plentiful and the competition can run as smoothly as possible.

It is also important that you watch this video that gives a brief competitor tutorial as well.

Masks are optional at this competition

Competitors should not attend the competition if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or if they were exposed to someone with COVID-19. If this occurs to you, the organizers will offer the competitor a full refund.

Note: The COVID safety restrictions may change if cases increase or decrease in Indiana and/or the US.

The deadline to be accepted from the waitlist has passed. The competitor list is now final.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
